Come di consueto oggi vi porto dentro una nuova Anteprima di un articolo che fra qualche giorno o settimana vedrete Nella Mente di un SerialFiller, il mio blog interamente incentrato sul mondo delle serie tv e di cui, da qualche mese, ho deciso di regalarvi costantemente, in anticipo su quello che pubblicherò, gran parte dei post che vedrete su www.serialfiller.org.
Torniamo indietro, oggi, con questo recentweet ad uno dei più recenti speciali di capodanno della saga sconfinata del Doctor Who. Come saprete, e come ho dettagliato in questo post, l'ottima Jodie Whittaker sta per abbandonare il Tardis e sta per concedersi un viaggio verso altri lidi. Ncuti Gatwa, noto ai fan di Sex Education, sarà il nuovo dottore, per la precisione il dottore con la casacca numero 14. Con la tredicesima stagione abbiamo assistito ad una forte accelerata rispetto all'epopea dell'uomo/donna dai 2 cuori nel petto nativa/nativo di Gallifrey. La stagione 14 sarà chiamata a rimescolare le carte senza tralasciare tutto quello che c'è stato di bello fin qui e provando a risollevare le sorti di uno show che poteva deragliare e non lo ha fatto ma poteva anche salire di livello e non lo ha fatto. Questo speciale di capodanno ne è l'emblema. I Dalek tornano e sono come sempre temibili. L'episodio, però, lascia un sapore abbastanza agrodolce, rivelandosi non cosi epico come ci si aspettava ma senza annoiare come da sempre un buon episodio speciale di fine anno ci ha regalato. Ho provato a raccontarvelo, a raccontarlo a quella nicchia di fan e curiosi che ancora fremono all'arrivo del prossimo speciale. Io sono tra questi, da sempre, anche se ultimamente l'attesa è sempre più bassa. L'umore dei fan è ancora alto? Ditemelo voi. E' sempre bello onorare il dottore, è sempre bello viaggiare con lui/lei in mondi lontani, in mondi strani e conoscere persone e personaggi ancora più strani e lontani, sempre al centro l'umanità, sempre al centro la lotta per la sopravvivenza. Basta chiacchiere e via con il lancio di questo vecchio post che trovate al link. Buona lettura e allacciate le cinture quando entrate nel TARDIS. Mi raccomando!

As usual today I am bringing you in a new Preview of a post that in a few days or weeks you will see In the Mind of a SerialFiller, my blog entirely focused on the world of TV series and of which, for the past few months, I have decided to give you constantly, in advance of what I will publish, most of the posts you will see at www.serialfiller.org.
Let's go back, today, with this recentweet to one of the most recent New Year's Eve specials of the boundless Doctor Who saga. As you may know, and as I detailed in this post, the excellent Jodie Whittaker is about to leave the Tardis and indulge in a journey to other shores. Ncuti Gatwa, known to fans of Sex Education, will be the new doctor, to be precise the doctor with tunic number 14. With the thirteenth season we have seen a strong acceleration from the epic of the man/woman with 2 hearts in her chest native/native of Gallifrey. Season 14 will be called upon to reshuffle the cards without neglecting all that has been good so far and trying to lift the fortunes of a show that could have derailed and didn't but could also have soared and didn't. This New Year's Eve special is emblematic of that. The Daleks return and are as fearsome as ever. The episode, however, leaves a rather bittersweet taste, turning out not to be as epic as expected but without boring as a good year-end special episode has always given us. I have tried to tell you about it, to tell that niche of fans and curious people who are still quivering at the arrival of the next special. I am among them, always have been, although lately the anticipation is getting lower and lower. Is the fans' mood still high? You tell me. It's always nice to honor the doctor, it's always nice to travel with him/her to distant, strange worlds and meet even stranger and more distant people and characters, always humanity at the center, always the struggle for survival at the center.
