It upsets everyone thanks to the revelations that are made. Rasserena for the ability she has to hold the souls of the story together, unite past and present, projecting us immediately into the future. It is the first episode of this season where William returns to be the protagonist. The Man in Black, who for many had been the real protagonist of the past seasons so far had not been seen again. The fourth episode is born with him, dies with him and maybe he flies away with the episode. A perfect combination what Nolan and Lisa Joy bring to the screen. The man in black opens the episode with his madness, the same man closes it, dressed in white and placid as a little lamb. William is confused and in deep existential crisis. There are a thousand questions that he asks himself, that he poses to himself, to his conscience in a splendid sequence. The episode closes in an enigmatic way but with a William who seems to have had, to have given the answers he is looking for. A William at the end. A William at the center of the labyrinth. That labyrinth of his mind, of his existence that had obsessed him all his life. In between everything happens and for the first time all the main characters appear in the same episode, often colliding. A choral and fundamental episode that reveals the contents of the 5 pearls revealing perhaps the most shocking surprise of all. Dolores has copied herself, Dolores is a virus, she duplicates, doubles, multiplies, multiplies her threat, multiplying her strength in an attempt to annihilate and find a home for herself more than for her species. Maeve takes the field. Bernard takes the field. Serac moves his soldiers. They're all knocked out for the moment, all of them, compared to Dolores' moves. Sumptuous episode that reminds us, if need be, of the power of Westworld.
Lo aspettavamo, da 2 anni prima, da 3 episodi poi. Puntualissimo è arrivato. L'episodio che sconvolge e al tempo stesso rasserena. Sconvolge tutti grazie alle rivelazioni che vengono fatte. Rasserena per la capacità che ha di tenere insieme le anime del racconto, unire passato e presente proiettandoci immediatamente nel futuro. E' il primo episodio di questa stagione dove torna ad essere protagonista William. The Man in Black che per molti era stato il vero protagonista delle scorse stagioni finora non si era rivisto. Il quarto episodio nasce con lui, muore con lui e forse lui vola via con l'episodio. Un accostamento perfetto quello che Nolan e Lisa Joy portano sullo schermo. L'uomo in nero apre con la sua follia l'episodio, lo stesso uomo lo chiude, vestito di bianco e placido come un agnellino. William è confuso e in crisi esistenziale profonda. Sono mille le domande che si pone, che pone a se stesso, alla sua coscienza in una splendida sequenza. L'episodio si chiude in maniera enigmatica ma con uno William che sembra aver avuto, essersi dato le risposte che cerca. Un William a fine corsa. Un William al centro del labirinto. Quel labirinto della sua mente, della sua esistenza che lo aveva per tutta la vita ossessionato. Nel mezzo accade di tutto e per la prima volta tutti i personaggi principali appaiono nello stesso episodio, spesso collidendo. Un episodio corale e fondamentale che ci rivela il contenuto delle 5 perle rivelando forse la sorpresa più scioccante di tutte. Dolores ha copiato se stessa, Dolores è un virus, si duplica, raddoppia, moltiplica, moltiplicando la sua minaccia, moltiplicando la sua forza nel tentativo di annientare e trovare una casa a se stessa in primis più che alla sua specie. Maeve scende in campo. Bernard scende in campo. Serac muove i suoi soldati. Per adesso KO, tutti KO rispetto alle mosse di Dolores, delle Dolores. Episodio sontuoso che ci ricorda, qualora ce ne fosse bisogno, la potenza di Westworld.
