Red Sparrow is one of the best action spy movies i have ever seen. I wasn't a Jennifer Lawrence's fan but watching this movie has made me become her huge fan.
The movie starts with Jennifer Lawrence has ballerina dancer who supports her ill mother. One day during her performance she faced a career ending injury (which was intentional) forcing her out of Job. She was then approached by her uncle who works in a Russian Intelligence and tasked her a work to seduced a Russian politician who already knew her as a ballerina dancer in exchange for her mother medical treatments. While seducing the Russian politician he tried to rape her but then was killed by a Russian Operative. In order to be no witnesses her uncle gives her two option whether to join the Russian intelligence or be killed.
Jennifer then joins the Russian Intelligence and sent to an operative called "Sparrow" where they train and teach her to seduced men to lure things out from them. It was a like a whore house for her.
She was then assigned to a mission in Budapest where she is to seduce a CIA officer and lure him into getting the name of a Russian mole. The CIA officer had already knew everything about her and confronts her, the two develop a thing for each other, offering herself to work for the CIA and defect with her mother to America.
Now playing as the double agent she is threaten and tortured several times by the Russians, but she does not reveals anything and earns their trust.
Whether she stays loyal to her uncle and country because of her ill mother or she will work for the CIA. For this you have to see the movie because telling you end part of it will spoil all the fun of watching it.
