At the beginning of the movie, Charles and Veronica are a family, many of whom are going through their family life in financial difficulties and thinking about how they can earn more money. After that, Charles and Veronica first move to Turkey with their young son Francis, where people are being arrested without citizenship because of the political problems there. But Charles and Veronica evaded the soldiers and returned to Nigeria with their son and left Francis with a neighbor in Greece.
Charles and Veronica continued to pursue their citizenships while working there, but due to the country's political problems, no new citizenships were being granted to foreigners. Along with that, they had 5 children each and Charles failed to apply for citizenship for the children as well. As a result, Charles taught his children at an early age how to survive from the police and at the same time, Charles began to dream of becoming football players and gave them opportunities to play football.
However, it can be seen that Charles' two eldest sons, Thanasis and Giannis, are interested in playing basketball.
