Yesterday in my free time, I set out to look for a movie on Netflix that caught my attention, I did not really feel like watching a series and I wanted to go out of the conventional and see something perhaps striking, I discussed this situation with a friend and he recommended me several alternatives, But curiously, most of those movies I had already seen (movies that maybe at some point I should talk about), however, he mentioned me one in particular which is the one I will talk about today called Rocketman, the title is certainly striking but he told me in a very summarized way that it was a movie that narrated the life of Elton John. Personally if I knew of the existence of this musician as well as his presentation, in some movies (like the second Kingsman) and that is a very recognized individual, but until then I never got to call attention to his music or look for songs about him or his life nothing more and well certainly caught my attention by the cover on Netflix, so I gave it a chance.
The truth is that it was quite emotional and very emotionally charged a lot and not only that there is a background, linked entirely to a search for parental acceptance and also social, I had no idea that this guy had gone through so much, and I admit that some of his songs I liked quite a bit, but I will delve into it later as well as the impact of his music on me and especially that process he had to go through, to be what he is today or was to some extent because I understand he retired to devote more time to his family, so without further ado this time I bring you Rocketman.
El día de ayer en mis ratos libres, me dispuse a buscar alguna película en Netflix que llamase mi atención, no tenía ganas de ver una serie realmente y quería salirme de lo convencional y ver algo quizás llamativo, converse esta situación con un amigo y él me recomendó varias alternativas, pero curiosamente esas películas en su mayoría ya las había visto (películas que quizás en algún momento debería hablar) sin embargo, me menciono una en particular la cual es esta de la cual hablare hoy titulada Rocketman, el titulo ciertamente es llamativo pero el me dijo de forma muy resumida que era una película que narraba la vida de Elton John. En lo personal si sabía de la existencia de este músico así como su presentación, en algunas películas (como la segunda de Kingsman) y que es un individuo muy reconocido, pero hasta ahí nunca me llego a llamar la atención su música o buscar canciones sobre él o su vida más nada y bueno ciertamente llamo mi atención por la portada en Netflix, así que le di una oportunidad.
La verdad es que fue bastante emotiva y muy cargada de emociones muchísimo y no solo eso hay un trasfondo, ligado enteramente a una búsqueda de aceptación paternal y también social, no tenía idea de que ese sujeto había pasado por tantas cosas, y admito que algunas de sus canciones me gustaron bastante, pero profundizare sobre ello más adelante así como el impacto de su música en mi y sobre todo aquel proceso que tuvo que pasar, para ser lo que es hoy en día o fue hasta cierto punto porque tengo entendido el se retiro para dedicar más su tiempo a su familia, así que sin mas preámbulo esta vez les traigo Rocketman.

I personally liked the movie very much, I will try to touch on the most outstanding aspects that for me had a significant impact on the process and growth that Elton had. As I mentioned at the beginning in the introduction I did not know much about this artist and obviously his music, but I did not want to be rude to my friend with his recommendation and the truth is that it came out better than I expected, returning to Elton was very hard but very hard for him, not being able to express himself and be himself in so many areas, and having to adapt to a musical world in which there are so many pleasures linked to fame and power, which brings with it addictions and above all the hidden intentions of the people in it on his person.
The music for him was the biggest impulse he had to get noticed in that world, I feel that he strongly sought that means not only to make himself known and noticed in his own way, but also to finally receive acceptance or approval from his family (mainly his mother or father and stepfather) in the most genuine way possible, In the film is a factor that is constantly shown, the low valuation to him both for his flamboyant personality and his sexual orientation, even in the musical environment of which on many occasions came out very bad by the criticism of others including their representatives either in criticism as already mentioned or manipulation.
Such choices, pushed him to take such an excessive and radical lifestyle in many aspects, and we have to remember that such events occur in a different time in which many things at first instance were very frowned upon and quite controversial and what he represented was no exception, It was as his music had a great impact (music of which there are certain songs that I liked) that he began to accept and identify with it, leaving behind the old him to transcend and become what he is now, but to reach that point of acceptance both in self-love and in knowing how to ask for help he had to go through many things.
One of the things in the making of this film that I liked, was the exposure of his life, mainly in very remarkable events that shows us what he has gone through, through a kind of catharsis in the rehabilitation center with others, for me it was an introduction and denouement linked to the continuity of the plot very but very good and see the end result of all that process that happened to get to what it is now, essentially with each song was amazing, as a kind of fall and rise and really goes very consistent.
Personally I highly recommend it, there are very sensitive issues that are touched and I think they should be taken into consideration as tolerance, respect and acceptance mainly, the film has some strong and somewhat crazy scenes, but not losing its charm is not bad and especially if you manage to have empathy, enough with his situation believe me it will hit you very hard emotionally, by the way his best friend Bernye is a great brother. La película en lo personal me gusto mucho, tratare de tocar los aspectos más sobresalientes que para mi tuvieron un gran impacto significativo, ante el proceso y crecimiento que tuvo Elton. Como mencione al comienzo en la introducción desconocía mucho sobre este artista así como evidentemente su música, pero no quería ser descortés con mi amigo ante su recomendación y la verdad, es que salió mejor de lo que me esperaba, volviendo a Elton fue muy duro pero muy duro para él, el no poder expresarse y ser el mismo en tantos ámbitos, y tener que adaptarse a un mundo musical en el cual está de por medio tantos placeres ligados a la fama y el poder, que conlleva la misma con adicciones y sobre todo a las intenciones ocultas de las personas en este sobre su persona.
La música para él fue el mayor impulso que tuvo para hacerse notar en ese mundo, siento que el busco encarecidamente ese medio no solo para hacerse conocer y notar a su manera, si no también para por fin recibir la aceptación o aprobación por parte de su familia (principalmente su madre o padre y padrastro) de la manera más genuina posible, en la película es un factor que se muestra constantemente, la poca valoración a el tanto por su personalidad extravagante y su orientación sexual, incluso en el medio musical del cual en muchas ocasiones salió muy mal parado por la crítica de otros inclusive de sus representantes sea en critica como ya mencione o manipulación.
Tales opciones, lo impulsaron a tomar un estilo de vida tan desmedido y radical en muchos aspectos, y tenemos que recordar que tales eventos ocurren en un tiempo diferente en el cual muchísimas cosas a primera instancia eran muy mal vistas y bastante controversiales y lo que él representaba no era una excepción, fue a medida de que su música tuvo un gran impacto (música de la cual hay ciertas canciones que me gustaron) que se empezó aceptar eh identificar con ello dejando de ser el antiguo él para trascender y convertirse en lo que es ahora, pero para llegar a ese punto de aceptación tanto en amor propio como en saber pedir ayuda tuvo que pasar muchas cosas.
Uno de las cosas en la elaboración de esta película que me gusto, fue la exposición de su vida, principalmente en eventos muy destacables que nos muestra lo que ha pasado, por medio de una especie de catarsis en el centro de rehabilitación con otros, para mí fue una introducción y desenlace ligado a la continuidad de la trama muy pero muy bueno y ver el resultado final de todos ese proceso que paso para llegar a lo que es actualmente, esencialmente con cada canción fue increíble, como una especie de caída y auge y realmente va muy acorde.
En lo personal la recomiendo bastante, hay temas muy delicados que se tocan y creo que deben ser tomados en consideración como la tolerancia, respeto y aceptación principalmente, la película tiene ciertas escenas fuertes y algo alocadas, pero no por eso pierde su encanto no está mal y sobre todo si logras tener empatía, bastante con su situación créeme que te pegara muy fuerte emocionalmente, por cierto su mejor amigo Bernye es un gran hermano.
