Chances are that you have seen at least one superhero movie in your lifetime and even higher chances that it was Superman. He has always been my hero since I was a kid, well until I was no more a kid, xd. I guess maybe that's why a Superman Tv show hasn't aired for a while before now. We're grown up now, and technology and social media have taken all our attention. Still, everybody loves a proper superhero movie. One thing that has played a major role in my loss of interest in superheroes and maybe superman is Kryptonite. You're bloody superman, how the hell do you just get weak and incompetent so easily whenever you're exposed to Kryptonite? It's inexplicable as well as it is annoying. And I also think as we grew older, we started to realize that superheroes aren't just those folks in capes flying over our roof into the horizon, superheroes live next to us, in our house, in the hospital, at the local store down the street. They are everywhere, they just don't wear capes. I have had this back and forth conversation with my mate @osarueseosato on why this is a good show, but he has been adamant. I will give him and everyone else the reason why this is different.

Superman and Lois is a Tv show about the superhero Superman and Lois Lane, a journalist from the daily planet. It takes us through how they got married, had kids, and made a family in their hometown while trying to live a normal life. We all know the whole story, fighting bad guys and all, no need to bore you with it. The show premiered on February 23rd, 2021 and it's currently running its second season. At this point you're probably wondering what is the point of my post and what makes this show about Superman different, I mean, isn't it always about fighting the bad guys and keeping the city of metropolis safe; well, he did fight the bad guys, but there is a bigger reason for this show and why it's different from the other type of Superman you must have seen. So the creator of this show,
Todd Helbing and
Greg Berlanti thought to their self "What if the greatest challenge of superman isn't defeating the bad guy or keeping the town safe but how to be a good dad? How to keep a family? WHAT IF? And that was exactly what these fellas did. They created a show about a superhero, trying to be an ordinary man and living a normal family life. That makes for a great story, doesn't it?

Now you should be wondering, "what the hell does this show teach us?". It shows us that no matter how powerful or fast you are, you can't outrun your problems; both literally and figuratively speaking. It teaches us that everyone has family problems, even Superman. It teaches us that we all have to make hard decisions at almost every point in our life. It teaches us that we all have secrets, big ones, and keeping them to ourselves isn't always the best thing. The list of lessons is endless. It was a thing of satisfaction to see Superman be NORMAL. Like, he had problems too, and then I wonder, Superman has problems and he tries to solve them, how the hell would I not have them (challenges). It's infectiously relatable with a lot of emotional rollercoasters. Best part? It's appropriate for almost all ages. The second season is about to end and I'm pretty devasted.

Thank you for reading. If you haven't, you should totally check it out. If you have, do tell me what you think. Cheers.
