► About
I mean what do you want to know, its Jean-Claude Van Damme. it is a kickboxing master piece and a real classic. I am not gonna say the plot their might be spoilers......or maybe not! He trains for the ultimate in fighting contests where he could even die and the rest is a beautiful cliché. The "muscles from Brussels" certainly packs a punch.

► What you loved about it
Well what is it that I do not love about this? It has everything you want from an 80's martial arts films with the Van Damme stamp on it. It has training montage, great music, the "nearly dead" bit and the heroic come back. If you want something that does what is says on the tin, then this is it. I am not sure how many times I have seen this film, although I loved all his early films.

► How it influenced me
So when I first saw this and then went on to watch all of his films I was a keen martial artists as a child and have continued to kickbox throughout my life. Do I think one of the reasons for this is that I grew up on Van Damme films, probably. Did I want to be in the films as the hero, definitely.

► What part of it did you find most interesting.
What you want a cheesy slow motion scene? then this is the film for you...

► Any scene that still pops into your mind.
You want the ultimate training montage? Then yet again this film has got you covered....

► Performance of the actors/actress that left an impression.
It was his break out film and he went on to a career of brilliant martial arts films. Love him or hate him he was definitely the real deal and lets be honest he was one of the biggest action stars in the world for a bit!
Rating
10 out of 10 SUB masks for what it is ...in reality probably a 6 out of 10 on a good day with a strong wind behind it and you have had a few beers....
Now go watch it with a few friends!
Big up the films
