What did you expect, this is a film about music, telling the story of the the ins and outs of being in a band! Focusing on Soul music and is set in Ireland. It is gritty and realistic but ultimately all about the music which is why we have picked it.

Music Highlights

"Mustang Sally" is such a classic track, if you not sure what to listen to my advice is to focus on the brass, such great brass arranging.

If you not heard Al Greens original "Take me to the river" then we are asking you right now - why not! Here is a link to it on youtube! Check the subtle vocal movement in his lead vocal.

Too Hard to Handle is a classic and well covered. This to us is maybe our fav version! Big up to the Black Crowes. Such a great ruff and a great guitar solo in the middle.

Another highlight is "In the midnight hour" The Wilson Picket version is fab and our fav thing on this is the bass part....find the bass with your ears and just sit back!

## Review

Its a great film, if you like music and stories around music and a little bit of realism then watch it. If you don't like those things then watch it anyway you might realise you do like them. To us this film is a must watch classic, it might not be perfect but life ain't. Its imperfections is what gives it charm and warmth. However ultimately this is a film about music, not any old music but some of the greatest soul music ever made, if that isn't enough for you then you probably sold your soul to the devil for a donut like Homer Simpson!
