Hello Hive friends, @suisver here with a new post for the channel. Today we'll be talking about episode 2 of Jujutsu Kaisen (Season 1), titled: For Myself.
In my previous post, we discussed episode 1 and how Yuji, upon finding an amulet that turned out to be a finger of the demon Sukuna, became the demon's vessel. He was recruited by Megumi Fushiguro at the academy and taken to the Metropolitan Magical Technical High School, where, along with other students, he trains to become Sukuna's vessel and give his life to save humanity.
In episode 2, Yuji Itadori wakes up tied up in a room filled with talismans after being symbolically executed by Satoru Gojo. Faced with the threat of being immediately eliminated by the high command of the sorcery world, Gojo manages to postpone his sentence on one condition: Yuji must consume Ryomen Sukuna's 20 fingers and then die alongside the "King of Curses". Yuji accepts because he tells himself he has nothing to lose, and besides, he owes his grandfather a promise he wants to keep: to help others.
After saying goodbye to his grandfather at the hospital, Yuji moves to Tokyo to enroll in the Metropolitan Magical Technical College, where he must pass the test administered by Principal Masamichi Yaga. Through the interrogation by Director Yaga, who attacks him with cursed dolls to force him to reveal why he truly accepts the challenge of becoming a vessel, Yuji finally understands that he cannot fight solely to fulfill his grandfather's last wish; he must find his own purpose. His decision to consume the curses to protect others is his role as a hero, even if it means his own death.
Unlike other vessels, Yuji demonstrates a remarkable and genuine ability to suppress the demon's will and maintain control of his body.
The episode concludes with Yuji and Megumi arriving at Harajuku Station to welcome the third member of the group, Nobara Kugisaki, setting the stage for the complete trio of protagonists. We'll see this great trio in action in the third episode. Each episode gets more and more exciting.

En el espisodio 2 Yuji Itadori despierta atado en una habitación llena de talismanes tras ser ejecutado simbólicamente por Satoru Gojo. Frente a la amenaza de ser eliminado de inmediato por los altos mandos del mundo de la hechicería, Gojo logra aplazar su condena con una condición: Yuji debe consumir los 20 dedos de Ryomen Sukuna para luego morir junto al "Rey de las Maldiciones". Yuji acepta porque internamente se dice que no tiene nada que perder ademas le debe una promesa a su abuelo y quiere cumplirla: ayudar a otras personas
Tras despedirse de su abuelo en el hospital, Yuji se traslada a Tokio para ingresar al Colegio Técnico de Magia Metropolitana, donde debe superar la prueba del director Masamichi Yaga. Yuji. A través del interrogatorio del director Yaga, quien lo ataca con muñecos malditos para obligarlo a decirle por qué verdaderamente acepta el desafío de ser un recipiente, al final Yuji comprende que no puede pelear solo por cumplir la última voluntad de su abuelo; debe encontrar un propósito propio. Este gran trío lo veremos en acción en el tercer episodio. Cada capítulo se pone más y más emocionante.
