The Boy who Harnessed the Wind , a review without spoilers.

Review by @suzn.poudel · 10h · of The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind

Some movies have such good framing that they can put you in awe of how subtle they can be, yet still be pleasing to watch compared to standard viewing experiences. One such movie is "The Boy who Harnessed the Wind." It's an inspiring story of a young boy trying to save his family and community from hunger by building a windmill to pump water during drought in his district. The existence of a great story won't make a great movie; it's the reflection of the story in characters, where emotions are expressed without words, and the dots connect well. This movie just does that in a very subtle way.

A boy born in hunger and struggle, whose values are rooted, puts himself in the shoes of the whole community and brings back life to his people. The movie shows the cultural connection of human roots embedded in 'THE BOY' and how that transcends to take responsibility, with the quest for knowledge and self-discovery. Around the storyline, the movie puts the family at the centre, interlinked with the values carried by the father for the people. So, he exists in the contrast of his own struggle and the life that he is put upon. The movie's ability to show stories from multiple perspectives, drawing the boy into the plot, makes it even more worthy of a watch. Also, the movie does a great job of expressing the pain, suffering, and stress through the metaphors that the boy takes within himself, with the plot flowing smoothly, displaying the boy's ability to comprehend all these connections, drawing him into problem-solving solutions. I feel it is a feel-good experience for the viewers, trying to connect with the world suffering is more than what we could perceive.

The boy thirsts for knowledge and abilities to undertake the responsibility in a complex environment, which makes the story compelling for the viewers. It's a real-life story movie. So, I would keep it simple.
