Movie review: orphan

Review by @teknon · 1587d · of Orphan

Today, I went to help my boyfriend clean up his new house along the line after cleaning just the windows, I got really tired of doing such cleanup all by myself so I decided to get people to clean it up for me while I pay them. Thanks to the home cleanup company.

Stressing myself too much isn't just my thing. I was so tired and bored that I had to find something to lift my spirit and immediately, Netflix sent me a notification that they've got new movies for me. Hehe.

I love Netflix. They always have a way of cheering me up whenever I need them so badly. Of course I quickly clicked the notification and was redirected to some movies. I found a lot of new movies with good titles but then an old one from years ago stared at me right in the face.

It had its title boldly written orphan as directed by Jaume collet-serra. The title got me even though it was old 2009 to be precise, I knew Netflix never fails. They give me interesting movies and so I really wanted to find out what it was really about.

The movie is mind-blowing, it's terrific and of course fun. It will set you at the edge of your seat. That's If you can sit on one while watching the movie.

It's about a girl who claimed to be nine when really she's about thirty. Her physical appearance was more like a mirage. She was beautiful on the inside but a real devil on the inside.

She killed without mercy and her method of killing was what terrified me to the bones.

The movie may be slightly horrifying to those who are horror freaks but to me who isn't into horror, find it extremely horrifying, disturbing and has a way of leaving you unsettled. I had shawarma with me when I was watching. I wanted to give myself that cinematic feeling but honestly I didn't go half of that yummy food because I couldn't have anything in my mouth when I was seeing blood and having minutes that made my whole body tremble.

It's plot is quite twisted and is more of a psychological horror.

The little girl called Esther in the movie had a terrific facade even when she had an angelic face. Did I just call her a little girl, oh gosh! The big baby! The old woman in baby's clothing.

What I hate so much is that she got to murder the son of the woman who adopted her and took her as her very own. She murdered the woman's child silently in the hospital where he lay to get treatment since her first method of eliminating him didn't really work out.

If such things really do happen in reality, then some kids from the orphanage are not to be brought into your home, especially the ones who think it's ok to be different.

I actually did watch the movie to the end and I'm happy the witch in human form got drowned in ice water and victory was given to Max and her mother even though Max lost her dad and brother to the evil girl they brought into their home. It was her dad's fault though, if he had believed his wife when she was trying to tell him the girl was strange and sent her away immediately, he wouldn't have died.

He got to realize she was strange when she made advances at him. You know that part was funny. Imagine a person you think is nine year old making advances at you and telling you "hey let me make you happy" 🤣. Gosh! I'd freak out if it were me you know. Haha.

The movie is filed with action, romance and horror 👽. If you haven't seen the movie orphan try and do so. You'll love it and that's if you're Keen to horror.

Note: it's rated 18😎.

Trust me right now I'm trembling in my bed, I can't go out because it seems like Esther is after me.

"I can't be afraid😢. C'mon I am afraid😬😬".

Do stay safe lovelies and keep watching Netflix.💙

You couldn't withstand the horrible display from the movie, you still had to watch it; that's hilarious. I hope you tremble with ecstasy that it was mission accomplished for you.

If you haven't seen the movie orphan try and do so.

I don't like having/giving spoilers before watching a thriller or horror movie. Well, I watched this a long ago and this one is just amazing, I was also terrified on seeing her actual identity.

The beauty of of theese kinda thriller movies are that no matter how much terrified you are, you always end up finishing the movie just to know what happened in the end. Hehehe.

Btw You can also use CineTv community for movie-related posts which would also help you to get cine tribe tokens. Happy Watching.

I've watched this movie a while ago. All I will and can say is that most of it was quite easy to predict for me. Still, it's one messed up movie, one that stays in your mind for a while hahaha.
