Titans - From the animated series to adult television show (REVIEW)

Titans is the live-action adaptation of the animated TV series Teen Titans and Teen Titans Go! that reboots the saga of the DC characters in a plot of suspense, fantasy and action set in the reality of a modern world. Although the series has been strongly criticized by the audience, I want to leave here a brief review from my point of view that brings together its four seasons.

Titans es la adaptación live-action de las series animadas de televisión Teen Titans y Teen Titans Go! que reinicia la saga de los personajes de DC en una trama de suspenso, fantasía y acción ambientada en la realidad de un mundo moderno. Aunque la serie ha sido fuertemente criticada por la audiencia, quiero dejar aquí una breve reseña desde mi punto de vista que reúne sus cuatro temporadas.

After four short seasons, Titans, comes to an end presenting an origin of the comic book characters who face different challenges and problems throughout their story. The series can be categorized as an action thriller that combines fantasy and horror at times, where, you can see so much blood, scientific dialogues and erotic scenes, so it wouldn't be suitable for minors.

Tras cuatro cortas temporadas, Titans, llega a su fin presentando un origen de los personajes de los libros de cómics quienes enfrentan diferentes desafíos y problemas a lo largo de su historia. La serie se puede catalogar como un suspenso de acción que combina fantasía y terror en algunas ocasiones, donde, se pueden apreciar muchas escenas sangrientas, diálogos científicos y escenas eróticas, por lo que no sería adecuadamente apta para menores de edad.

Brenton Thwaites, Teagan Croft, Anna Diop, Ryan Potter and Curran Walters make up the main cast of the Titans lineup in the respective roles of Nightwing, Raven, Starfire, Beast Boy, Robin and others such as Wonder Girl (Conor Leslie), Hawk (Alan Ritchson), Dove (Minka Kelly), Superboy (Joshua Orpin), Cyborg (Joivan Wade), plus Jay Lycurgo in the role of Tim Drake's Robin. Batman (Iain Glen), Deathstroke (Esai Morales), The Scarecrow (Vincent Kartheiser), Lex Luthor (Titus Welliver), Brother Hood (Joseph Morgan) and Trigon (Seamus Dever) are characters who also make appearances in the series as villains and in cameos.

Its soundtrack combines a bit of what we heard in previous series of the same multiversal saga with touches of rock and pop, plus a good job of sound editing in battles and moments of terror and suspense.

Su banda sonora combina un poco de lo que escuchamos en series anteriores de la misma saga multiversal con toques de rock y pop, además de un buen trabajo de edición de sonido en batallas y momentos de terror y suspenso.

The series shares history with the same universe as Stargirl, set years after the supposed creation of the Justice League where you can see dialogues where it is mentioned. Although the Doom Patrol series is related to this one, the events of both series are not canonical to each other, although the roles of the actors is unanimous for both shows.

La serie comparte historia con el mismo universo que Stargirl, ambientada años después de la supuesta creación de la Liga de la Justicia donde se pueden ver diálogos donde se menciona. Aunque la serie Doom Patrol tiene relación con esta, los hechos de ambas series no son canónicos entre sí, aunque los roles de los actores es unánime para ambos shows.

The graphics, for a short-lived series, are quite well done, although they lack a bit more to detail more realistically. The action scenes contain a very even sequence similar to games from the same company such as Injustice: Gods Among Us and Injustice 2. The graphics hold up with an excellent plot and backstory for each character in the series.

Los gráficos, para ser una serie de corta duración, están bastante bien hechos, aunque les falta un poco más para detallarse de forma más realista. Las escenas de acción contienen una secuencia muy pareja parecida a los juegos de la misma compañía como Injustice: Gods Among Us y Injustice 2. Los gráficos se sostienen con una trama excelente y una historia de transfondo para cada personaje de la serie.

Although Starfire's character was the most criticized of the entire show, in my opinion, she was one of the best adapted from the animated series and comics to television, precisely because of her skin tone. We can see the love understood between Dick and Starfire, in addition to the strange relationship between Robin, Raven and Beast Boy, the adaptation of Jason as Red Hood and the cinematic of cities like Gotham and Metropolis in a high caliber series.

Aunque el personaje de Starfire fue el más criticado de todo el show, en mi opinión, fue uno de los mejor adaptados desde la serie animada y cómics a la televisión, precisamente debido a su tono de piel. Podemos ver el amor comprendido entre Dick y Starfire, además de la extraña relación entre Robin, Raven y Beast Boy, la adaptación de Jason como Red Hood y la cinemática de ciudades como Gotham y Metropolis en una serie de alto calibre.

Titans is a gem for television that manages to connect with fans of the original series that is oriented to a relatively young but adult audience, which highlights an original story of action and fantasy with touches of suspense with relevant scenes of action, suspense and terror, where are brought together different stories of DC characters never before seen in a live-action show. Titans es una joya para la televisión que logra conectar con los fanáticos de la serie original que está orientada a un público relativamente joven pero adulto, que destaca una historia original de acción y fantasía con toques de suspenso con relevantes escenas de acción, suspenso y terror, donde se logran reunir diferentes historias de personajes de DC nunca antes vistos en una show live-action.
