La historia de como un padre debe ver como la drogadiccion toma parte de la vida de su hijo mayor, siendo un viaje de dos vistas, desde el joven que consume para ver cosas nuevas y el padre preocupado por su hermoso hijo, llegando a consumir solo para entender a su pequeño.

OPINIÓN
Sabiendo poco de que se trataba, viendo el trailer y algunas imágenes, podía considerar que esta película seria más bien, una historia hermosa donde la familia y los lazos que haces son más importantes que cualquier droga, empezando con una vista optimista y a color de como podría ser, me enfrento con la realidad de lo que verdaderamente es.
Beatiful boy es una película que no habla sobre la dependencia a las drogas como tal, habla de sus daños colaterales a aquellos que no consumen, la familia de los adictos, mostrando también una vista interesante al respecto que es que, sin importar la clase social en la que te encuentres o que tan bien este tu vida, puedes caer en las drogas. La mejor forma de describirlo es una frase que dice el personaje de Steve Carrel «preocuparse por un adicto es tan complejo, estresante y debilitante como la adicción en sí misma» Es un viaje en donde se ve más afectado el que quiere ayudar que el enfermo que sufre la enfermedad.
La historia es basada en un libro de una historia real, siendo el guion escrito por un ex adicto a la heroína, Luke Davies, junto al director de la película Felix Van Groeningen, aunque haciendo un trabajo en conjunto pudieron lograr una historia desde otro punto de vista, sin escenas de psicodelicos, de verdadera adicción u otros, se queda corta en historia en general. En varios momentos se siente que las escenas o los acontecimientos de la película no van seguidos, parece un salto tras otros sin sentir que el tiempo paso, pasando meses, años, en cuestión de segundos donde no entendemos cuanto tiempo ha pasado siquiera.
Por culpa de eso, la deje en pausa y la seguí viendo el día siguiente, perdí el hilo muy fácil de la película, puede sentirse lenta o estancada por como va la historia, no se puede decir que fue aburrida pero tampoco puedo decir que es entretenida. La película cuenta con una puntuación promedio en varios sitios de 6/10 siendo una buena película para ver algo diferente, pero no lo suficiente como para repetirla con gusto.
OPINION
Knowing little about what it was about, seeing the trailer and some images, I could consider that this film would be more of a beautiful story where family and the bonds you make are more important than any drug, starting with an optimistic and colored view of how could be, I face the reality of what it truly is.
Beatiful boy is a film that does not talk about drug dependence as such, it talks about its collateral damage to those who do not consume, the family of addicts, also showing an interesting point of view about it, which is that, regardless of social class in which you are or how well your life is, you can fall into drugs. The best way to describe it is a phrase that Steve Carrel's character says "worrying about an addict is as complex, stressful and debilitating as the addiction itself" It is a journey where the one who wants to help is more affected than the sick who suffers from the disease.
The story is based on a true story book, being the script written by a former heroin addict, Luke Davies, together with the director of the film Felix Van Groeningen, although by working together they were able to achieve a story from another point of view, without scenes of psychedelics, true addiction or others, it falls short in history in general. At various times you feel that the scenes or events of the film are not followed, it seems like one jump after another without feeling that time has passed, passing months, years, in a matter of seconds where we do not even understand how much time has passed.
Because of that, I put it on pause and continued watching it the next day, I lost the thread of the movie very easily, it can feel slow or stagnant because of how the story goes, you can't say it was boring but I can't say it is either entertaining. The film has an average score of 6/10 on various sites, being a good film to see something different, but not enough to repeat it with pleasure.
