Entergalactic (Review/Reseña)

A street artist is having the time of his life when he starts working in a comics company thanks to his graffiti, having the opportunity to work in what he loves while living a single life, until his neighbor, a photographer, It makes him doubt if it would be wrong to go out with someone who lives next door to his house.

Un artista callejero se encuentra en el mejor momento de su vida al empezar a trabajar en una compañía de comics gracias a sus grafitis, teniendo la oportunidad de trabajar en lo que ama mientras vive una vida de soltero, hasta que su vecina, una fotógrafa, le hace dudar si no estaría mal salir con alguien que vive a lado de su casa.

Watching the trailer before about this magnificently animated movie, I waited quite a while to see it, just because the story felt simple to me in the trailer, now having seen Entergalactic, I can give my opinion about this one and a half hour animated movie.

The animation is beautiful wherever you look, having changes in styles as the story progresses, having scenes with 2D art, changing to 3D, changing some colors and others, it's a very nice artistic mix personally, I found it interesting how they were able to put all those things together without it looking messy, instead it looks harmonious, the transitions happen naturally, not being interrupted by the animation change.

I couldn't say that I had a favorite scene or a favorite style in this movie, but it was the combination of the music with its style and the story that made a harmony, maybe because the movie is based on one of the songs of a American singer named Kid Cudi, looking like a promo for his album in a movie, an ingenious strategy on his part.

The story could fall short, perhaps because I fell in love with its colors I wanted to continue seeing more, but I feel that its hour and a half duration does not do it justice, dancing between the scenes of different drawing styles can waste the time of the main story, a love story that starts very well but progresses in giant steps, so much so that in their timeskip it seems that they have already spent a year together when they explain that only a month has passed.

Maybe it's because of personal opinion, but I don't think most people want to live with their new partner for less than a month, I don't know if it's because of my young age, my economic situation, or my little experience in love, but in the short time I've lived, the relationships I've had, it doesn't seem like a good option to go to sleep for a few days with someone you've been knowing for two months or less.

Could this movie show us the love life of the people of New York, although its behind-the-scenes idea was to show "a black love story" is not my point of view because I am Latino and color is the last thing that matters to me, so that I would give it that other meaning, for not being from their country to understand the difference. In general, the movie is good, its duration is enough to watch a weekend to pass the time, its animation is too colorful to get bored or not try to see all the details, I definitely recommend it.

Viendo el trailer con anterioridad sobre esta película con magnifica animación, espere bastante para verla, solo porque la historia se sentía simple para mi en el trailer, ahora, ya habiendo visto Entergalactic, puedo dar mi opinión sobre esta película animada de una hora y media de duración.

La animación, es hermosa por donde se vea, teniendo cambios de estilos conforme se avanza la historia, teniendo escenas con arte 2D, cambiando a 3D, cambiando algunos colores y demás, es una mezcla artística muy bonita en lo personal, se me hizo interesante como pudieron unir todas esas cosas sin que se viese desordenado, en cambio, se ve armonioso, las transiciones suceden naturalmente, sin verse interrumpidas por el cambio de animación.

No podría decir que tuve una escena favorita o un estilo favorito en esta película, más fue la combinación de la música con su estilo y la historia que hacían una armonía, tal vez debiéndose a que la película se basa en una de las canciones de un cantante americano llamado Kid Cudi, viéndose como un promocional de su álbum en una película, una estrategia ingeniosa por su parte.

La historia, podría quedarse corta, tal vez por quedarme enamorado de sus colores quise seguir viendo más, pero siento que no le hace justicia su hora y media de duración, bailando entre las escenas de diferente estilo de dibujo se puede perder el tiempo de la historia principal, una historia de amor que empieza muy bien pero que avanza a pasos gigantes, tanto así que en su timeskip parece que pasaron ya un año juntos cuando explican que solo ha pasado un mes.

Tal vez sea por opinión personal, pero no creo que la mayoría de personas busquen vivir con su nueva pareja que llevan menos de un mes, no sé si es por mi corta edad, por mi situación económica, o mi poca experiencia en el amor, pero en lo poco que he vivido, las relaciones que he tenido, no me parece buena opción irte a dormir unos cuantos días con alguien que llevas conociendo dos meses o menos.

Podría esta película mostrarnos la vida amorosa de las personas de Nueva York, aunque su idea detrás de cámaras era mostrar "una historia de amor de negros" no es mi punto de vista por ser latino y el color es lo ultimo que me importa, así que le daría ese otro significado, por no ser de su país para entender la diferencia. En general, la película es buena, su duración da para una ver un fin de semana para pasar el rato, su animación es muy colorida como para aburrirte o no tratar de ver todos los detalles, sin duda alguna la recomiendo.
