Today I selected the movie Okja (2017) for the daily movie recommendation which is directed by Joon-ho Bong from which I've recommended the movie Snowpiercer (2013) ten days ago and i told you in the article that i will see Okja and that's what I did. I was expecting something else from this movie when I first saw the trailer but I can not say that I was finally disappointed only the fact that I imagine the story to head on other subject. Let's get started and see why I liked this movie and I'll explain a few things about it.
The story begins with Lucy Mirando who is the boss of a multi-national company named Mirando started by her grandfather who was a terrible man. At its inauguration Lucy presents the super piggy which is a small and beautiful creature discovered in a Chile farm, and those from Mirando they brought it to their farm in Arizona where their scientists they grew up and made different studies ,and they managed to produce 26 piglets which were then sent to each of the 26 subsidiaries of the Mirando company, and than the subsidiaries they offered the piggys to the best local farmer with a good reputation.
I really liked the relationship between the little girl and the pig becoming one of the best friends seen in a movie and although I was expecting something else from this movie he managed to surprise me even if it was another subject than I expected.
The cast included big names like Jake Gyllenhaal, Tilda Swinton and Paul Dano which had a good performance the best being Jake Gyllenhaal who had a different role from what I saw but also Tilda Swinton it was very good having to play two roles of Lucy Mirando and Nancy Mirando. Besides the adventure the movie it also contains some action scenes and drama who manage to touch a delicate subject of the human race. In conclusion is a stranger movie and those who have seen something from this director already know this which for some may seem to be a trash and for others something interesting and new and I'm curious about your opinions , also don't forget to request the movie genre which you like to be recommended for tomorrow.
