Bridgerton Season 2

Bridgerton

I remember checking out season 1 of Bridgerton not expecting much of it but then actually getting sucked into the show immediately. The costumes and decor grew on me immediately and later on so did the characters in the show. Every time when I look at her royal highness the Queen, I do hear a voice shout "Off with his head!"

The season one finale

I do not exactly remember how season 1 went but I do remember that there was a happy ending and I honestly loved seeing how a couple that normally would not end up with each other, did. I was hoping to see them in this season two, but they didn't make a couple's appearance, only Daphne made her appearance. This could not spoil the fun though, as the new main characters, namely Kate, Edwina, and a few others, are the most important new characters throughout the show. Lord Sheffield (the viscount) is the man of the hour this season and I can safely say that this season revolves around him mostly.

The viscount grew on me

While I thought he was quite the prick in season 1, as well as the start of season two, I have to admit that as soon as I saw Lord Sheffield's softer side appear, he kind of grew on me and I could not stop watching, even though it was quite predictable where the show would lead to. I remember that my boyfriend joined me when I just started watching this season and as soon as there was a slight indicator of what was going to happen, he stopped watching and he was right, this is what everything was about in the end. I'm not going to tell you what that is though, just in case you have yet to watch it or didn't notice this yet.

Lady Whistledown

Of course, this season lady Whistledown is making noise again and her newspaper will reveal secrets and cause a lot of gossips again this season. If you had your suspicions about the real identity of Lady Whistledown in season 1, I'm curious to find out if this will remain the same during season 2! Maybe you will find out her true identity this season.

Still worth watching

Not many tv shows or movies that are super predictable are still enjoyable to watch every episode, but my personal opinion is that Bridgerton is! I have enjoyed every episode and could not stop watching. I fell asleep a few times when I had to rewind to where I was watching last, I watched that episode in full again, even though I had almost finished it. The costumes are really amazing and I can only imagine what it must have been like being alive back then.

Hoping for season 3

Although I have no clue if this is planned, I haven't checked either, I'm really hoping for another season of Brdigerton! Even if it means that these characters will be replaced mostly by a new set of actors that will take their place. I'd sign up for another round of balls, costumes, and an over-the-top queen any day. This is a fun show to watch and I can't imagine it would get boring anytime soon.

Have you watched Bridgerton season 2? If not, here's a trailer in case you're curious:

What's not to love? I know I loved Sissi as a child, so probably I got my love for costumes early on in life, haha. Please let me know what you think about season 2 in a comment.

Thanks for reading!

Welcome on board the Bridgerton fan's boat at last! 😄 I love this series too and the costumes and decor throws me into a dreamy world everytime! The creators did a great job.

The Queen is my favourite character. She's one erratic but brilliant queen that kept dancing to Lady Whistledown's tune! Hehe.

For the Viscount, he has a soft side? I did not like him at all in both seasons. Sorry 😄. Nice review!

Oh, I loved Bridgeton too! I was also expecting more of the Dutch and Dutchess this season, but the Viscount, Kate and Edwina plot was also as catching. And who is not interested with Lady Whistledown...
