A thrilling Spanish TV Show
The original title of the show is "¿Quién mató a Sara?" and means Who killed Sara? I personally love watching Spanish TV shows in the original language with English subtitles.
This show was one of my favorite ones recently, and luckily for me, there was not much time between watching season 1 and 2, because I seriously hate cliffhangers that make you wonder what will come to the surface in the next season.
Recap of Season 1
Without giving away too much information, I will try to sum up season one quickly before I move on to season 2 that I've just finished watching. Season 1 has 10 episodes, and I promise you that you'll not be able to watch one episode at a time only.
Alex is the brother of Sara, the girl where the TV show is about. Although the main question of the story is who killed Sara? Alex is the main character you'll see thoughout the show as he's her brother.
Alex was friends with the Lazcano brothers, a very wealthy family that owns a casino. When Sara grew a bit older, she fell in love with one of the Lazcano brothers and therefore she spent a lot of time with Rodolfo Lazcano and her brother Alex at the Lazcano residence.
The Lazcano family seems to have a lot of dark secrets, and even within the family, there's a lot of betrayal. The ruthless Cesar Lazcano, the father of the family, seems to have the leading role in the story, and Alex his vete is directed to him.
Sara dies in a parasailing accident when all the young teens are partying on a boat that belongs to the Lazcano family. The robes have been cut and as Rodolfo (her boyfriend) was the captain of the boat that day, he'd be going to jail for the death of his girlfriend.
Cesar Lazcano and his wife think of a plan where they ask Alex, her brother, who has always been the third son in the Lazcano family, takes the blame as they convince him that he will not be serving more than a few months in jail. They promise him that they will provide his mother a new kidney, as she's dying from kidney failure. This convinced Alex to take the blame.
Things don't work out as promised and he serves 18 years in prison for a murder he didn't commit. While serving time, he's working on a master plan to find out who killed his sister. In season one, you'll see how he starts digging in the past to find answers and discovers dark secrets that aren't supposed to get to the surface.
You'll see that some members of the Lazcano family have very twisted minds and I was appalled by the many disgusting secrets that came to light. Just when you think things can't get any weirder, another thing pops up. Not all of them are toxic, you'll see Elisa, Cesar's daughter, who helps Alex in his journey to find answers as she believes justice should be served.
Season one doesn't end with the answer who was responsible for Sara's murder. Unfortunately, the season ends with a cliffhanger. Luckily for me, I didn't have to wait too long for season 2 to be aired on Netflix. And I just finished watching season 2 today, after only a few days of binge watching. I needed to know who killed her!

Season 2: I'm dying to get answers about the murder by now..
Season 1 ended with a cliffhanger where Alex found a notebook in a wall in his sister's old room. The notebook revealed a dark side of his sister that he never knew existed. The notebook also has a map that leads to a body. Where answers are desired, instead more questions arise.
I don't want to give away too much information as this show was one that kept me focused from the beginning to the end, and I don't want to ruin this for any of the readers. I want you to experience the same excitement as I had watching. Therefore I won't reveal the dark secrets that come to the surface, and I will try to keep it a bit vague when talking about this season that only has 8 episodes.
More people from the past show up in season 2, some expected, others not. The Lazcano family wasn't the only family that hid a lot of dark secrets from their children, Alex finds out in season 2 that his family isn't been open about some things either.
I thought I knew who killed Sara several times watching season 2, and many times I thought that this episode that I was watching revealed enough to find answers, but things only got more twisted by the episode, instead of truly answering the questions.
Yes, there are answers, and yes, things will be revealed while watching, but the directors have done an amazing job keeping it thrilling from the beginning to the end. That doesn't happen too often that a show has me glued to my seat.
One hell of a cliffhanger!
I won't tell you who killed Sara, and I won't tell you how season 2 ended, besides the fact that it was one hell of another cliffhanger that promises a season 3 will follow. Honestly, while I was seeking answers to many things, I don't mind that there will be another season as I truly enjoyed watching this show.
I'm a bit afraid that they can't keep up with this level of excitement in a third season, but I'm hoping that I'm wrong and I will be glued to my seat again! I tried to find out when season 3 is expected, but there seems to be no answer to that yet.
If you haven't seen these 2 seasons yet, start watching, the show won't disappoint you probably, and the actors in the show are easy on the eyes as well.. :-)
