A rom-com Korean drama starring Ahn Hyo-Seop, Kim Se-jeong, Kim Min-Kyu, and Seol In-ah.
It follows a food researcher, Shin Ha-Ri (Kim Se-jeong) who worked hard to earn her money, Shin Ha-ri was the best friend of a chaebol—Jin Young-seo (Seol In-ah); they supported each other through everything. Young-seo was adamant on getting married as her parents always arranged blind dates for her, on one of these blind dates, she convinced her best friend Shin Ha-ri to go in her place to scare off the suitor—promising her some bucks.
However, the situation took an unforeseen twist when the man Shin Ha-ri (in place of Yong-seo) was to go on a blind date with, was the strict CEO of the company she worked for—Kang Tae-moo (Ahn Hyo-Seop).
Tae-moo, on the other hand, gave in to his grandfather's constant matchmaking and decided to marry her without realizing Shin Ha-ri was an impersonator and also his employee.
Meanwhile, Young-seo found herself romantically involved with Tae-moo’s secretary who was reserved—Cha sung-hoon ( Kim Min-kyu).
Shin Ha-ri struggled to hide her real identity while in a contract relationship with her boss. In the process, Tae-moo falls in love with Shin Ha-ri and vice versa and discovered her true identity. But Tae-moo's grandfather adamantly refused to accept his employee—Shin ha-ri as his grand daughter in-law. What happened next? Watch to find out!
If you are a lover of contract relationships, rom-coms, office romance and strong second leads, then you’re in for a good watch. I'm such a big fan of Ahn Hyo-Seop, In Business proposal, Ahn Hyo-Seop delivered an interesting performance as the CEO. The chemistry between the first couple leads and second couple leads are electric and well-balanced.
Business Proposal was the second K-drama I ever watched after Alchemy of souls and it remains one of the best out there. I highly recommend.
