I saw this movie recently, and anyone who knows me also knows that whenever I talk about seeing a movie, it's always k-drama [korean drama], that's because I enjoy seeing both old and new movie series.
Today I will be giving a review of the k-drama "DESCENDANT OF THE SUN' at first when I heard the movie title I thought it will be a movie in the south -Korean"s traditional setting, so I did download the first episode and amazed by how I it turned out, Now onto the review
"DESCENDANT OF THE SUN" was a movie recommended to me by my coursemate during the last day of our exam, though I have heard so many k-drama fans always talking about it, I just wasn't interested in watching what someone recommended to me until I saw VINCENZO Vincenzo was mind-blowing, its that kind of movie that would keep you on your toes when you wait for the next episode to come up, After I saw that the main actor of Vincenzo and this descendant of the sun was same person, I immediately asked her to send it to me.
Img from imdb This movie came out in 2016 and I still wonder why I didn't see it sooner, it is a romantic kinda movie, and what I love about this movie is the way in which the roles were played, the playboy soldier who fell in love with a female surgeon, but due to yoo si jin aka bigboss secret mission which he couldn't disclose to the doctor kang mo-Yeon aka beauty (female lead) whenever they were on dates and he had to leave every time without her knowing when he will be back. it is due to their profession the two couldn't progress with their love life. We also have the second main cast of this series, the deputy captain and the daughter of the commander of the army, Her father wouldn't accept her love for someone else who is not the captain, but love prevailed for them and he later agreed to them getting married.
When the head of the hospital Kang mo-Yeon works at made advances at her she slapped him to make him know she wasn't cheap, being furious with her he decided to punish her by sending her to another country for humanitarian service, from this scene many other wonderful and interesting scene were shown, the part that made my heart beat was when captain yoo si jin went for a mission after they were back from the united state where they had their last mission before they all came this time when he went for another mission, he told Kang mo-Yeon he would be back, but that didn't happen, I was in tears at this part of the movie, in my mind, I was like they didn't end the movie well, but they settings changed when the two soldiers who worked closely together resurface and everyone was in tear just for seeing them come back alive after months of being declared dead.
