After finishing the original Men in Black trilogy about a month ago, the fourth film, Men in Black international popped up on Netflix so I gave it a watch yesterday.
The sequels with the original cast weren't that bad imo. Yeah they weren't classics like the first film but I found them quite enjoyable, especially the second out.
As for the Men in Black International, my expectations weren't that high. I had a feeling it was going to be a money grab and it turned out it was.
For starters the chemistry between the two protagonists was meh. Nothing like Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones! Chris Hemsworth was somewhat funny but imo totally out of his waters and Tessa Thompson totally meh. And the sexual tension between the two felt rushed and forced
The plot and storyline felt meh as well. The plot twist was also too predictable.. Even for a dumb fuck like me 🤗
Not a terrible movie but too small and too forgettable for the legacy it carries.
Don't bother watching it if you haven't, just pretend it doesn't exist!
