Review
First of all, plot lines genres like these are a favorite of mine as a individual who enjoys sociological concepts across various order i always seem to go back to these kind of movies and storyline, i find them thrilling in a sense where power and ethics are in proximity, it is ialways interesting for me to see this play out because it highlights two version of idealism that is rather prominent in the nature of man, i like to learn more of what this looks like in different disciplines, personality types and patterns.
In the regard where someone like park mujin whose personality is written to be an emphatic theorist, whose values can be perceived to be the reason he has taken on this profession, the struggle to find a way to play the games in a new field “politics” is the bone of contention in the plot, the scenes captures in detail the optical dissonance in integration of morality illusion and nationalism where the preservations of what is considered to be morally correct conflicts with what is socially necessary. His struggles to detach his judgement from the principles that existed before his political position becomes almost like a paradox , because the typical orientation that makes him unsuitable for the game of politics are also what makes his character compelling within it.
Tge state Park Mujin’s finds himseld becomes a reflection of uncertainty of life for me, because in the absence of the knowing there isnt any established concept to bagain from, It made me consider how easily our perception of what is correct can be changed as per cur current situation. In these illusion the situation becomes a new perspective on life itself and that perhaps the mst transformative moments are not the ones that confirm what we already believe, but those that allows our idealism to be forced to expand beyond the original.
