Como están el día de hoy? Yo super super bien, con muchas ganas de contarles sobre una serie que me vi recientemente, pero queriendo comenzar por mencionar que esta serie es adaptada de un videojuego que realmente es mi favorito, y si no había visto esta serie antes, es porque principalmente me daba cosa que la adaptarán mal y decepcionarme de ella. En dos días que tuve medio libre, decidí verla, y obviamente estoy hablando de la serie adaptada por HBO, The last of us. Sin más, quiero hablarles de una serie que me encantó y decirles porque deberían verla

I'm super good, with a lot of desire to tell you about a series that I watched recently, but I want to start by mentioning that this series is adapted from a video game that is really my favorite, and if I hadn't seen this series before, it's because I was mainly worried that they would adapt it badly and I would be disappointed with it. In two days that I had half free, I decided to watch it, and obviously I'm talking about the series adapted by HBO, The last of us. Without further ado, I want to tell you about a series that I loved and tell you why you should watch it.

The last of us: Resumen

En un mundo postapocaliptico de zombies, luego de que se crearán diferentes grupos y comunidades para sobrevivir y enfrentarse a ellos, nace una chica llamada Ellie, la cual nació siendo bastante especial, ya que ella es la primera humana la cual era inmune a las mordidas de zombies, siendo así la primera en su clase

In a post-apocalyptic world of zombies, after different groups and communities are created to survive and face them, a girl named Ellie is born, who was born being quite special, since she is the first human who was immune to zombie bites, thus being the first in her class.

En la serie nos presentan a Joel, un humano común el cual vivió antes de la tragedia, el cual ahora busca sobrevivir y obtener recursos para vivir mejor. Por una especie de negocio, Joel llega a la necesidad de llevar sana y salva a esta chica llamada Ellie desde un punto a otro, donde a él le entregaran ciertos suministros si logra esta misión.

In the series we are introduced to Joel, an ordinary human who lived before the tragedy, who now seeks to survive and obtain resources to live better. For a kind of business, Joel comes to the need to carry safe and sound this girl named Ellie from one point to another, where he will be given certain supplies if he achieves this mission.

Básicamente la serie se trata (o al menos la primera temporada) de la travesía que enfrentan nuestros protagonistas para llegar hasta ese otro punto, donde buscarán una cura para este mundo junto a la sangre de ellie, la cual es totalmente inmune. Mientras va pasando la serie, Joel va teniendo problemas con ellie, pero también va considerándola su hija y su protegida, luego de meses y meses luchando por sobrevivir juntos

Basically the series is about (or at least the first season) the journey that our protagonists face to get to that other point, where they will search for a cure for this world together with ellie's blood, which is totally immune. As the series goes on, Joel has problems with Ellie, but he also considers her his daughter and his protégé, after months and months of fighting to survive together.

Mi opinión

Hace un poco más de 3 años, hoy jugué este juego luego de mucho buscarlo, ya que lo habíamos recienestrenado y yo estaba super emocionada con el. El juego que jugué fue The Last of Us II, el cual me parece una joya maestra el que a pesar de las críticas, sigue siendo uno de los mejores juegos tipo historia que yo he jugado. HBO hace un año decidió adaptar estas dos partes, primero haciendo la primera temporada y luego la segunda, obviamente. Una parte de mi se emociono al escuchar esa noticia, pero otra parte de mi tenia miedo de que no fuera buena como el juego.

A little over 3 years ago, today I played this game after a lot of searching for it, since we had just re-released it and I was super excited about it. The game I played was The Last of Us II, which I think is a masterpiece that despite the criticism, is still one of the best story type games I've ever played. HBO a year ago decided to adapt these two parts, first making the first season and then the second, obviously. A part of me was excited to hear that news, but another part of me was afraid that it wouldn't be as good as the game.

Algo que también me dio algo de molestia, es que la actriz que hace a Ellie, Bella Ramsey, no se parece en nada al personaje, y cuando digo nada, es nada. Estas pequeñas cosas me daban cierta inseguridad hacia al juego, pero hace poco decidí dejar estos prejuicios atrás y verla

Something that also gave me some annoyance, is that the actress who plays Ellie, Bella Ramsey, looks nothing like the character, and when I say nothing, it's nothing. These little things gave me some insecurity towards the game, but recently I decided to leave these prejudices behind and watch it.

Una de las principales cosas que debo admitir, es que comprendí totalmente la razón para escoger a Bella para este papel, realmente tiene una actuación única y hermosa, sin duda alguna supo volverse la Ellie Williams que todos conocemos de los juegos, replicando su actitud al 100%. Otra cosa que me hace feliz admitir, es que no arruinaron la historia cambiándola para mal, me adaptaron al 100% la historia, dándome el juego pero en serie, algo que realmente me encantó ver

One of the main things I must admit, is that I totally understood the reason for choosing Bella for this role, she really has a unique and beautiful performance, no doubt she knew how to become the Ellie Williams we all know from the games, replicating her attitude 100%. Another thing that makes me happy to admit, is that they didn't ruin the story by changing it for the worse, they adapted the story 100%, giving me the game but in series, something that I really loved to see.

Yo hubiera aceptado que cambiaran ciertas partes de las historias, ya que se que es una serie, si yo quería ver el juego, pues iba y jugaba el juego otra vez. Me sorprendieron inmensamente al ver que la serie es muy muy muy parecido al juego, metiendo algunas historias extras que tal vez no se tocan mucho en el juego, y claro que también metiendo un poco de detalles de ellos mismos

I would have accepted that they changed certain parts of the stories, since I know it's a series, if I wanted to see the game, I would go and play the game again. I was immensely surprised to see that the series is very very very very similar to the game, putting some extra stories that may not be touched much in the game, and of course also putting some details of their own.

La serie en sí es una maravilla increíble, cada cosa que iba pasando yo me la sabía, ya que había jugado y visto el primer juego varias veces, pero de igual manera me volvían a causar esas emociones de mi primera vez jugando el juego. Pedro pascal (Actor de Joel), hizo un trabajo impoluto, simplemente hermoso, el es la reencarnación de Joel en la vida real, logro actuar su actitud perfectamente y además que se parece muchísimo al mismo Joel de los juegos, algo que me encantó y me hizo amar las esta serie

The series itself is an incredible marvel, every single thing that was happening I knew it, since I had played and seen the first game several times, but in the same way it caused me again those emotions of my first time playing the game. Pedro Pascal (Joel's Actor), did an impeccable job, simply beautiful, he is the reincarnation of Joel in real life, he managed to act his attitude perfectly and also he looks a lot like the same Joel from the games, something that I loved and made me love this series.

Esta serie tuvo 8 capítulos, cada uno de aproximadamente 1 hora, todos los capítulos me los disfrute al millón, y aunque ya conocía fuertemente la historia, me hacían querer ver un poco más de la misma, esperando revivir esos hermosos momentos de la valentina de hace más de 6 años. Esta serie es arte y cine puro, es la perfecta representación de lo que muchos fans queremos en una adaptación de un juego, te hace sentir y regresar a la primera vez que lo jugaste, algo hermoso e inexplicable.

This series had 8 chapters, each of about 1 hour, I enjoyed all the chapters to the million, and although I already knew the story strongly, they made me want to see a little more of it, hoping to relive those beautiful moments of the valentine of more than 6 years ago. This series is pure art and cinema, it is the perfect representation of what many fans want in an adaptation of a game, it makes you feel and go back to the first time you played it, something beautiful and inexplicable.

Para el año que viene, se está preparando la segunda temporada, donde podrán adaptar cada detalle de mi juego favorito. Realmente no creo que me decepcionen, se que me darán esas emociones de la primera vez que pude jugar este increíble juego. Personalmente le doy mi primer 10/10 a una serie, gracias a que fue exactamente lo que quería, superando mía expectativas aunque tuviera varios prejuicios

For next year, the second season is being prepared, where they will be able to adapt every detail of my favorite game. I really don't think they will disappoint me, I know they will give me those emotions of the first time I was able to play this amazing game. Personally I give my first 10/10 to a series, thanks to the fact that it was exactly what I wanted, surpassing my expectations even though I had several prejudices.
