It's fun to have investigation drama in my daily. Nowadays I really looking for thriller and investigation dramas cause I really loved to watched how the officer solved their case. It means to me cause through the this kind of dramas I have trust that there's an officer is take responsible about their job and had humanity side in her soul. It caused I have never met that trust officer in real life.

By the way, in this post I'm gonna talk about one drama that I watched recently. It was Chimera. My first reason why I watched, is the genre, and then the cast. I saw Park Hae Soo, may favorite actor in popular dramas like Prison Playbook and Squid game (I have watched yet), but after watched two episodes, I recognized the co-star, it was the actor who's played role Go Mu Chi in popular drama Mouse. Moreover, this drama aired in OCN, A television channel who's special for crime drama. Did you know that the crime story on these channel is never failed, so I have no reason anymore to skip this drama.

Okay, I'll tell about this drama below. Let's get it!

Chimera: Is That A Ghost or Just A Shadow?

The first scene about these drama was opened with several officers who's explosion handling trial from an expert. Then the scene was move to one night with someone who's found out a lighter in his car. When he's turn on the lighter, the next scene happened is an explosion.

In the next day, the same officer came and investigation about that explosion. One officer found out the lighter and save that evidence for his self.

That case was so mysterious, even the officer can solved it soon. Then the officer named Cha Jae Hwan found out a fact that case is caused by Chimera. He saw a Chimera drawing in the crime scene. In that case, Cha Jae Hwan was a misfortune to find a Chimera and he almost died by the explosion. Thankful he is only had injured.

As I read on wikipedia, Chimera is according to Greek mythology, was a monstrous fire-breathing hybrid creature, composed of different animal parts. Then that division tried to chasing the Chimera, the suspect was Lee Joong Yeop a doctor who's has all evidence who's proven that he is Chimera. His past was connect to all victims and he was be caught in CCTV before the tragedy. Lee Joong Yeop then being accused. He has how many questions by Cha Jae Hwan who's get so angry cause the victim was the officer he had considered his father. But Lee Joong Yeop still calm and said that he is not Chimera.

Then there's a profiler named Eugene Haddaway. She also has questions to Lee Joong Yeop and assumed that he is not the suspect. She is tell Cha Jae Hwan that the suspect might be looking for the real suspect too.

Lee Joong Yeop the being released. The story then told about Cha Jae Hwan who's a mother with dementia. By a chance, the doctor who's handle Cha Jae Hwan mother is Lee Joon Yeop, so after several met they were being closer. With Eugene, then they are form the team to cashing the Chimera.

The scene's then running about chasing the chimera cause the victims are increase.

The Drama Related About The Authorities' Past

In several thriller and investigation dramas we has such authority in back of the case. Also in this drama cause in the middle episodes we were introduced to several authority who's the black past. Their past crimes was the key for all tragedy. Evidently there's a connection about their past with Cha Jae Hwan's mother, Cha Eun Soo. In the first I expected his mother as Chimera. But it's totally go wrong. The suspect was isn't in my expectation cause that role was so minim. It's totally great plot twist!

In the end, I really expected about the authority can't be caught by a law. He is being accused but the law is just formality. And the end, that authority being punished by Chimera. Yup, Chimera is more than one peoples. One was died and another is still watching the suspect.

Cast Developement

Besides the plot, I liked how writer and director developed the main cast. In the first episodes we were made we are made suspicious of Lee Joong Yeop cause he has all reason to kill all victims. The victims are related with his past, which's his family being murder and his life after that was so gloomy. He is adopted by stranger and grew up in another country and he was watched how their mom died and his dad being accused and accused of being suspected of an explosion. Lee Joong Yeop has strong reason to being Chimera but he is not. His character after being accused was developed and it's the best part of this drama.

Another cast development was in Kim Hyo Kyung character. She is a reporter who's looking for Chimera case. In the first episodes, she was met with Cha Jae Hwan and being interest to him. I think there's romance about Kim Hyo Kyung and Cha Jae Hwan or such triangle love cause Cha Jae Hwan liked Eugene Haddaway, but I totally wrong. In the first, she is like cameo, but in the last episodes, she is explode as someone's who has responsible about all tragedy. And the true, she is the younger sister of Lee Joong Yeop. In this part, I really get emotional. Can you imagine in the long time you thought that you are alone in the world but in the end you just know that you have a sibling. And that sibling met often times with you.

I really appreciated the writer cause make this beautiful cast developement.
