This is the west series that I watched currently. My consideration when watching it was the light and youth-themed story. I haven't watched a light series in a long time, so I decided to marathon the Never Have I Ever series.
The Story About The Anxiety of The Youngest
This is a story about Devi, A 14-year-old teenager of Indian descent living in America. Devi is said to have just lost her father, which was traumatizing because her father died suddenly while watching a music concert at her school. Due to the trauma, Devi is temporarily paralyzed. When he was in paralysis, she saw Paxton, as his encouragement. Paxton is an popular student in his school, all the girls want to be his girlfriend, including Devi.
Devi is one of the smartest students in her school. His rival is Ben. She also has two best friends of different races, Fabiola and Eleanor. This trio is a trio who is not popular at school and tries to find popularity.
Series with 3 Seasons
This series has 3 seasons and each season has 10 episodes. This series focuses on Devi's chaotic life, not according to her will. This is a story of teenagers looking for identity, looking for a lover, and also doing a lot of rebellion against their parents. Devi and her mother do not get along very well because Devi feels that her mother does not understand her.
In addition, this series also tells about the friendship between Devi-Eleanor-Fabiola. Although very close, the story of their ups and downs of friendship normally always has conflicts. However, friends will still be people who support each other. In addition, Devi's family life is also described in great detail.
My favorite characters are Paxton and Ben. Devi is so unstable. The character is really annoying, ahahaha...
While Paxton and Ben, have cool characters. Smart Ben and popular but humble Paxton.
Rich in Diversity
One of the advantages of this series is that the characters are so diverse. All races in this series exist, except Indonesians, hehehe...
Although the races are quite diverse, in this series there is not a single racist dialogue.
Not for Teenagers
Although this series tells about the lives of teenagers, actually this series is not really worth watching for teenagers, especially teenagers in my country. Because it tells about the lives of teenagers, this series raises issues about teenagers in America, such as when a teenager has not had sex, it is a disgrace. Actually, Devi is after Paxton just to have sex.
Then there are intimate scenes like kissing which is so taboo in an eastern country like mine. Not to mention Devi who is often upset just because she has never had sex. Well, maybe because of different cultures I watched it a bit counter for several things there.
Even though it's about teenagers, I don't recommend this series to teenagers.
But I have to admit that the actors who play a role in this series do their roles very well. Especially, Devi, she is so cool. His expressions and emotions are very natural. Unfortunately, he has a very big age difference from Paxton in real life, so I don't want their relationship to also be intertwined in real life. Hehehe
I give it 2.5 out of 5 stars.
and thanks for reading my review...

Vivie Hardika
I have so much imagination in my head. Something that I can't achieve as a human and as a girl. So writing is very challenging. Since Junior High School, I have written whatever I want to write. Without skill, I just write what I want to read. Now I have 12th published novels and all of them are romance.Yeah, I proudly say that I am a passionate author.
