This film is arguably the most "dark beauty" movie I have ever seen. How come? This movie is a one and only film Guillermo del Toro! Del Toro's work is undoubtedly, given that his previous films also had such powerful "lives." Just look at Hellboy (2004) and Pacific Rim (2013).
Crimson Peak is a gothic-horror genre starring Mia Wasikowska, Tom Hiddleston, Jessica Chastain and Charlie Hunnam. I myself have long admired Tom Hiddleston, especially since he saw his role as Loki is so slick in a series of Marvel films. So is Mia Wasikowska, who seems to be used to portraying unique female characters, call her role in Alice in Wonderland (2010), Jane Eyre (2011) and Stoker (2013), which I will also discuss next point.

The film was set in the 19th century. At that time, there was a girl named Edith Cushing (Mia Wasikowska). Edith is a child of an important person in America. Edith himself is a fictional horror fiction writer, but unfortunately publishers were then reluctant to publish his book because at that time the type of book like that less desirable. Everything was fine until one day Edith met an Englishman named Thomas Sharpe (Tom Hiddleston) who came to America to do business with Edith's father. Thomas immediately caught Edith's attention when they first met because Thomas praised Edith's paper. Thomas also introduced Lucille Sharpe (Jessica Chastain), her pouty sister to Edith.
Long story short they fall in love and get married. Thomas brings Edith to live with her and her sister in a remote, mysterious, remote, hundred-year-old mansion in England. Previously Thomas was alone with Lucille there.
My tension (and Edith, haha) began when Thomas once told Edith that their great mysterious mansion was often nicknamed "Crimson Peak".
