Buenos días comunidad de Scrobble, esta vez les traigo una peli animada que me gusta mucho porque cuenta la vida de un villano y hace que todo lo que nos habían contado sobre los malos te haga reflexionar sobre quién es realmente el malo y quién el bueno.

🎬 Un poco de contexto
Hace mucho tiempo, una familia de seres de otro universo estaba enfrentando una guerra en su planeta y todo parecía estar perdido, así que los padres decidieron mandar a su bebé a un mejor lugar en una pequeña nave espacial.
Esta nave se dirigía a la Tierra, pero a su vez se encontró con otra pequeña nave donde también había un bebé, que también se dirigía a este planeta. El primer bebé cae en una prisión donde los presos terminan criándolo como uno más de ellos, mientras que el segundo cae en la casa de una familia adinerada.
Ambos niños crecen y todo parecía indicar que estaban destinados a encontrarse en todos lados, por lo que crean una relación de enemistad entre ellos. Ambos fueron creciendo hasta convertirse, respectivamente, en un villano y un héroe, ya que desde que eran bebés parecían ser el némesis del otro, como si estuviera predestinado a eso.
El villano se hizo llamar Megamente y el héroe Metroman, parecía que toda la vida se la pasaban peleando entre ellos, uno armaba el alboroto y el otro salvaba el día. Como era de esperarse el héroe era muy amado en su ciudad, Metro Ciudad, porque siempre ganaba y cuidaba a los ciudadanos del mal.
Un día cualquiera, Megamente rapta como es costumbre a la reportera Roxan Ritchi, y por supuesto Metroman va en su ayuda. Pero esta vez pasa algo muy distinto que parece indicar que, al fin, el mal ganará sobre el bien.
Megamente había hecho un plan que no podía fallar y que esta vez iba a ser el fin del superhéroe, y así pasó, logró su cometido y Metroman aparece muerto. Nadie podía creer lo que había pasado, pero todo fue real así que el villano empieza a gobernar la ciudad.
Con ayuda de su sirviente, Servil, Megamente se adueña de la ciudad dejándola en las peores condiciones. Aburrido de tener tanta libertad para hacer lo que quisiera, decide crear a un nuevo superhéroe, pero el destino tenía otros planes para esa nueva persona y, contra todo pronóstico, decide convertirse en un villano.
¿Quién salvará esta vez a la ciudad de dos villanos? Pues te sorprenderá saber que no todos los que parecen malos realmente lo son, puede ser que desde el fondo de su corazón estén buscando ser otra cosa y que el destino les tenga preparado otro camino. Si sigues leyendo desde aquí, ya te advierto que habrá muchos spoilers así que depende de ti seguir leyendo jeje.
Esta es una película muy interesante y fuera de lo común, muchas veces hemos escuchado hablar de historias de héroes, como aquellas personas que con su fuerza y poder pueden derrotar a los malos.
La historia de Megamente está contada desde la perspectiva del villano y te hace reflexionar sobre si realmente el malo es siempre quien tiene la culpa.
En un principio, parece que todo estuviera escrito en el destino, Megamente y Metroman tienen que ser némesis, pero no hay un porqué claro, solo porque uno se entrometió en el camino del otro o por las circunstancias en las que cada uno creció.
Tal parece que Megamente tenía celos de la vida perfecta que tenía Metroman y lo demostraba causando problemas y haciendo de las suyas, porque cuando al fin logra vencerlo no se siente como si hubiera triunfado, sino que se siente vacío.
Aquí podemos ver que quizá solo necesitaba la atención de la gente y también la de Metroman para demostrar que él era muy inteligente y que podía vencerlo, aunque casi siempre perdía las batallas, pero no se daba por vencido. Todo parecía ser como un juego y una serie de revanchas.
Ahora, cuando se dio cuenta de que crear otro héroe significaría que todo volvería a ser lo mismo, terminó siendo muy distinto. Por todos los medios trató de que Titan (el nuevo héroe), se pareciera a Metroman pero no fue así. Pero, a pesar de todo su empeño, terminó convirtiéndose en alguien malo.
Y por celos y engaño, Titan casi termina matando a Megamente. Todo por una chica que le gustaba, pero que nunca lo vio como una posible pareja, sino solo como un buen amigo.
Para ese entonces, Megamente ya se había enamorado de Roxan, así que es por ella que termina convirtiéndose en el héroe que la ciudad necesitaba. Esta parte me parece muy bonita y, al mismo tiempo, controversial.
Roxan como todos, odiaba a Megamente por sus malas acciones, pero tras conocerlo mejor ella se enamoró de él. Algo que ella dice es muy cierto, un libro no se juzga por su portada, sino por su contenido.
Megamente parecía y se mostraba malo, pero al conocerlo más a fondo pudieron ver que era gracioso e inteligente, eso también se logró gracias a Roxan. Pero ojo, en un principio él la engaña tomando la forma de otra persona para acercarse y hablarle.
Por suerte, ella hace las paces con él y terminan juntos.
💭 Lo que más me hizo pensar
Algo importante que también vemos en la película es que incluso los héroes pueden sentirse atrapados por el papel que deben cumplir, porque Metroman tuvo que fingir su muerte para ser libre, hacer lo que quería y ser alguien más. Esto es válido porque no hay una ley o norma que te diga que debes ser héroe toda tu vida, es cansador y aburrido.
Gracias a Megamente él también tomó otro camino, entonces cada uno pudo encontrar su razón de vida o al menos seguir aquello que más querían pero que quizá por miedo o presión social no lo podían hacer.
Y no olvidemos a Servil, su mayordomo y mejor amigo, siempre leal y honesto, es un personaje muy gracioso, pero sabía que su amigo era capaz de mucho más y que a pesar de sus peleas, siempre terminaba cuidándolo.
Como ven esta peli tiene varios aspectos interesantes, otra cosa que me encanta son las canciones que utilizan, especialmente las de rock y pop clásico. Eso hace que las escenas de peleas sean más entretenidas y emocionantes, no me canso de verla jeje.
Bueno, espero que, si no la vieron, vayan corriendo a verla ya nomás. Y si la vieron pues me comenten qué escena fue la que más les gustó.

🎬 A Little Background
A long time ago, a family from another universe was facing a war on their planet, and all seemed lost, so the parents decided to send their baby to a better place in a small spaceship.
This spacecraft was headed for Earth, but along the way it encountered another small spacecraft that also carried a baby, who was also bound for this planet. The first baby ends up in a prison where the inmates raise him as one of their own, while the second lands in the home of a wealthy family.
Both children grew up, and everything seemed to indicate that they were destined to cross paths everywhere they went, which led to a hostile relationship between them. One ordinary day, Megamind kidnaps reporter Roxan Ritchi, as usual, and of course Metroman comes to her rescue. But this time, something very different happens that seems to indicate that, at last, evil will triumph over good.
Megamind had devised a plan that couldn’t fail—one that would spell the end of the superhero—and that’s exactly what happened: he succeeded, and Metroman was found dead. No one could believe what had happened, but it was all real, so the villain began to rule the city.
With the help of his servant, Servil, Megamind takes over the city, leaving it in terrible shape. Bored with having so much freedom to do whatever he wanted, he decides to create a new superhero, but fate had other plans for this new person, and—against all odds—he decides to become a villain.
Who will save the city from two villains this time? Well, you’ll be surprised to learn that not everyone who seems bad actually is—it may be that deep down in their hearts they’re searching to be something else, and that fate has another path in store for them.

If you keep reading from here on, I’ll warn you that there will be plenty of spoilers, so it’s up to you whether you want to keep reading, hehe.
This is a very interesting and unusual movie. We’ve often heard stories about heroes—those people who, with their strength and power, can defeat the villains.
The story of Megamind is told from the villain’s perspective and makes you wonder whether the bad guy is really always to blame.
At first, it seems as though everything was written in the stars—Megamind and Metroman are destined to be nemeses—but there’s no clear reason for it, other than one getting in the other’s way or the circumstances in which each grew up.
It seems Megamind was jealous of Metroman’s perfect life and showed it by causing trouble and getting into mischief, because when he finally manages to defeat him, he doesn’t feel like he’s triumphed—instead, he feels empty.
Here we can see that perhaps he just needed people’s attention—and Metroman’s as well—to prove that he was very intelligent and could defeat him, even though he almost always lost the battles; still, he never gave up. It all seemed like a game and a series of rematches.
Now, when he realized that creating another hero would mean everything would go back to the way it was, things turned out very differently. He tried by every means possible to make Titan (the new hero) resemble Metroman, but it didn’t work out that way. Yet, despite all his efforts, Titan ended up becoming a villain.
And out of jealousy and deceit, Titan almost ended up killing Megamind. All because of a girl he liked, but who never saw him as a potential partner—only as a good friend.
By then, Megamind had already fallen in love with Roxanne, so it’s for her that he ends up becoming the hero the city needed. I find this part very beautiful and, at the same time, controversial.
Like everyone else, Roxanne hated Megamind for his misdeeds, but after getting to know him better, she fell in love with him. As she says, it’s very true: you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, but by its content.
Megamind looked and acted like a bad guy, but as they got to know him better, they saw that he was funny and smart—and that was also thanks to Roxanne. But be warned: at first, he tricks her by disguising himself as someone else to get close to her and talk to her.
Luckily, she makes up with him, and they end up together.
💭 What Made Me Think the Most
Something important we also see in the movie is that even heroes can feel trapped by the role they have to play, because Metroman had to fake his death to be free, do what he wanted, and become someone else. This makes sense because there’s no law or rule that says you have to be a hero your whole life—it’s exhausting and boring.
Thanks to Megamind, he, too, took a different path, so each of them was able to find their purpose in life—or at least pursue what they wanted most but perhaps couldn’t do because of fear or social pressure.
And let’s not forget Servil, his butler and best friend—always loyal and honest. He’s a very funny character, but he knew his friend was capable of so much more, and that despite their arguments, he always ended up looking out for him.
As you can see, this movie has several interesting aspects. Another thing I love are the songs they use, especially the classic rock and pop tracks. That makes the fight scenes more entertaining and exciting—I never get tired of watching it, hehe.
