Can you imagine a house filled with magical keys? Keys that have different uses? A key that could take you to the ghost world and another that could make you time travel? What about a key that could fix all your broken items? The series Locke and key is all about these keys.
Honestly, I didn't know what to expect when I came across this series. I knew that keys would obviously be involved and to use a key, you need a Locke. I never thought that it would turn out to be this interesting! You would never know unless you try right?.
The first highlight of this series was when a student from a highschool walks into his school's counselor's house and is requesting information about a "key house" with a gun in his hands. In a means to collect the gun from the student, the counsellor(Rendell Locke) gets shot.
His wife and children who weren't killed in the process, travelled back to Rendell's hometown. They find the key house there and things start unravelling. Only the "Locke's" can find keys and demons can not take these keys from them unless it's willingly given.
As you would expect, the Locke's are the ones protecting the keys while the demons are the ones who want to use the keys for their evil agenda.
You can bring back the dead.
Okay, let me rephrase that a little bit. You can bring back the "echoes" of the dead. Echoes take human form, they are the same person basically but echoes can't die. The drama in this series started with an echo, a bad echo.
To bring back an echo, you have to go to the "well house", with an echo key. Unlock the door and call the name of the person you want to bring back to life..easy peasy.
Adults cannot remember magic
In the movie, once you get close to 18 years, your memories of magic start fading away but there's a key for that too. The memory key helps to keep your memories intact–the good, bad and ugly memories.
Since adults can't remember magic, the kids are the main characters here because they are the ones who remember magic and they are also the ones who find the keys.
My Favourite key?
My favourite key from this movie has got to be the head key. This is the key that lets you access your head and other people's heads too. All the fun and terrible memories in a person's head can be seen and I must say it's quite amusing. I would have picked the time travel key as my favourite, but you can't really tell where you're travelling to. You could end up in a battlefield or a rose garden. You never know.

I liked this series a lot. Whenever it felt like it was going to get boring, there would be a twist; something to keep you guessing. All the cast did a great job playing their roles. The directors and producer also did a fantastic job. You can only imagine how eager I was to know what a key does whenever it was discovered.
Whosoever came up with the script of this series has a tremendously creative mind
This series had a little bit of everything; crime, thriller, adventure, mystery, love,etc. It has three seasons with ten episodes each, three seasons that could change your life. I would gladly recommend it to anyone who wants to watch something mind-blowing, hypothetically.
