Un Lugar en Silencio no es la típica película de terror donde veremos espantos sobrenaturales que atormentaran a la familia, en esta película nos encontraremos seres aterradores que son completamente reales y que son casi imposibles de matar; no nos muestran el origen de estos monstruos, pero fácilmente pueden pasar como extraterrestres, ellos son completamente ciegos, pero con unos sentidos auditivos extraordinarios capaces de escuchar el mínimo ruido a miles de kilómetros y esto nos lleva a la trama principal de la película.

Su trama es sencilla pero fuerte, que mantiene una tensión desde el principio hasta el final; El silencio es la clave en esta película y comienza siendo bastante incómodo, pero te va transmitiendo toda la tensión que siente la familia Abbott mientras buscan suministro o cuando los chicos juegan sin realizar un mínimo ruido, Cada uno de ellos viven en completa tensión y cuidando hasta el mínimo detalle para no cometer algún error que puede resultar mortal.
Its plot is simple but strong, which maintains a tension from the beginning to the end; Silence is the key in this film and it starts off being quite uncomfortable, but it gradually conveys to you all the tension that the Abbott family feels while looking for supplies or when the boys play without making a minimum noise. Tiene una acción justa que no opaca el suspenso que tiene que transmitir este tipo de películas, me hubiera gustado que indagaran un poco más sobre el porqué estos seres llegaron al planeta tierra, pero supongo que apenas esto es un abre boca de lo que pueda suceder en la segunda película que aún no me he visto.
It has a fair action that does not overshadow the suspense that this type of film has to transmit, I would have liked them to investigate a little more about why these beings came to planet earth, but I suppose that this is just a mouth opener of what can happen in the second film that I have not yet seen.

Los personajes conectan contigo en el momento en que salen a escenas, la química que tienen los 2 padres es increíble y supongo que influye mucho el hecho de que tanto John como Emily sean pareja en la vida real; los chicos realizan un papel bastante bueno aunque la niña llega a desesperar en algunas ocasiones. Son buenos personajes y sus actuaciones son tan buenas que te llegan a transmitir cada uno de los sentimientos que van sintiendo en cada parte de la película.
The characters connect with you the moment they go on stage, the chemistry between the 2 parents is incredible and I suppose the fact that both John and Emily are a couple in real life has a lot to do with it; The boys play a pretty good role, although the girl gets desperate on some occasions. They are good characters and their performances are so good that they convey to you each of the feelings that they feel in each part of the film.

Un Lugar en Silencio es una buena película de terror y suspenso que te mantendrá con la vista fija en la pantalla y que te dejara con el corazón roto, pero con ansias de ver que sucederá en Un Lugar en Silencio 2.
