¡Hola a todos! estoy emocionada porque hace mucho que no sentía que una serie coreana me dejara tan enganchada en cada episodio y haciéndome sentir demasiadas emociones encontrada. ¿Alguna vez has visto una película o serie que demuestra lo que sufre las víctimas de Bullying o también conocido como Acoso Escolar? Si alguna vez has sido víctima de ello esta serie coreana llamado LA GLORIA nos cuenta de manera muy cruda todo lo relacionado al Bullying, por ello es material sensible y no apto para todos, su historia es impactante y lastimosamente es basado en una historia real.
Hello everyone! I'm excited because it's been a long time since I felt that a Korean series left me so hooked on each episode and made me feel too many mixed emotions. Have you ever seen a movie or series that shows what victims of Bullying or also known as Bullying suffer? If you have ever been a victim of it, this Korean series called THE GLORY It tells us in a very crude way everything related to Bullying, for this reason it is sensitive material and not suitable for everyone, its story is shocking and unfortunately it is based on a true story.
SYNOPSIS
La estudiante Moon Dong Eun (Soo Hye Kyo) tiene una vida común y corriente hasta que la escuela se convierte en un verdadero infierno, todo gracias a los maltratos físicos y psicológicos de Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji-yeon) y su grupo de compañeros, la violencia es tal que Moon queda marcada de por vida. Una historia de Bullying extremo que trasciende a la venganza ¿Moon Dong Eun logrará completar su venganza?

La víctima - The victim
Moon Dong Eun (Soo Hye Kyo) es la víctima de toda esta historia, y por ello para la actriz Soo Hye Kyo le costó bastante trabajo interpretarla por el hecho que esta serie es su Debut para este género, e increíblemente su actuación fue muy bueno, deseo verla mucho más en este tipo de series. Ahora hablemos un poco de su personaje Moon Dong Eun tristemente es la representación de muchas personas que hoy en día aún sufren del bullying escolar, laboral o cibernético pero sobre todo es una mujer que pasa ser de víctima a una "victimaria" y la mayoría que haya visto el episodio 1, es tan gráfico y detallado la violencia que sin dudarlo todos apoyamos su venganza, porque es la voz y la acción que todos querríamos ver ante los perpetradores y generando una crítica al sistema actual para este tipo de casos, donde la víctima no tiene apoyo ni tampoco protección.

Now let's talk a little about her character Moon Dong Eun sadly she is the representation of many people who today still suffer from school, work or cyber bullying but above all she is a woman who goes from being a victim to a "victimizer" and most who have seen episode 1, the violence is so graphic and detailed that without hesitation we all support his revenge, because it is the voice and action that we would all want to see before the perpetrators and generating a criticism of the system for this type of case, where the victim has neither support nor protection.
The revenge
La Gloria Parte 1 nos cuenta la historia de la víctima y de cómo los agresores han vivido tranquilamente a lo largo de los años (incluyendo su estilo de vida actual), además de la preparación y próxima ejecución del plan de Moon, y no, en esta primera parte no verás nada de venganza (aún) pero sí que verás la crudeza del bullying en todo su esplendor (utilizando herramientas cómo la plancha para el cabello). La desesperación de no tener el apoyo necesario de ninguna persona de su entorno, tocando temas como el abandono infantil, una crítica clara de las fallas del sistema educativo, familiar, maltrato psicológico / físico o incluso la misma ley por que no protegen a la víctima sino al agresor (mejor dicho corrupción).
La Gloria Part 1 tells us the story of the victim and how the attackers have lived peacefully over the years (including their current lifestyle), as well as the preparation and upcoming execution of Moon's plan, and no, in this first part you won't see any revenge (yet) but you will see the cruelty of bullying in all its splendor (using tools like the hair iron). The desperation of not having the necessary support from anyone in their environment, touching on issues such as child abandonment, a clear criticism of the failures of the educational system, family, psychological / physical abuse or even the law itself because they do not protect to the victim but to the aggressor (rather, corruption).
Me encanta que desde el inicio haya tanto misterio de lo que va a suceder, tenemos bastante claro que venganza si habrá pero, no sabemos que otras repercusiones o acontecimientos van a salir a la luz para nuestra hermosa Moon, además que a todos nos ha dejado encantados Jo Yeo Jung (Lee Do-hyun) y Ha Do Young (Jeong Seong-il) porque como en cualquier k-drama el público femenino siempre va a decir "Me gusta más el doctor o me gusta el empresario" y en esta historia no se trata de con quién se quedará Moon porque desde un inicio se dejó en claro que no hay ninguna historia de amor (al menos de parte de Moon). Para ambos personajes me gustaría ver mucha más de su historia personal en la Parte 2, porque han dejado muchos cabos sueltos con respecto a las verdaderas intenciones de los dos (del doctor tengo cero dudas de su posible estado mental pero del otro no sabemos hay muchas teorías de los fans respecto a los dos).
I love that from the beginning there is so much mystery of what is going to happen, we are quite clear that there will be revenge, but we do not know what other repercussions or events will come to light for our beautiful Moon, besides that all of us have been delighted Jo Yeo Jung (Lee Do-hyun) and Ha Do Young (Jeong Seong-il) because as in any k-drama the female audience will always say "I like the doctor better or I like the businessman" and in this story it is not about who Moon will stay with because from the beginning it was made clear that there is no love story (at least on Moon's part). For both characters I would like to see much more of their personal history in Part 2, because they have left many loose ends regarding the true intentions of the two (I have zero doubts about the doctor's possible mental state but about the other we don't know there are many fan theories regarding the two).
Ambos personajes masculinos son bastante misteriosos y en esta primera parte nos deja con muchas incógnitas de quiénes son aliados de Moon y quiénes son enemigos, de momento los enemigos son claramente los que hicieron sufrir a Moon en la escuela que son: La líder Park Yeon Jin (Im Ji Yun), Lee Sa Ra (Kim Hieora), Son Myung Oh (Kim Gun Woo), Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon) y Choi Hye Jung (Cha Joo Young). Las actuaciones han sido buenas, tanto que hay ciertos momentos donde te pones en los zapatos de los mismos agresores pero cuando te hacen recordar el pasado vuelves a sentir odio por ellos sobre todo hacia Park Yeon JIn (Im Ji Yun), la verdad que la detestas hasta tal punto que quieres que Moon logre su venganza porque aunque son muchos implicados en este caso, la mente maestra siempre fue ella y por supuesto es una persona que no siente arrepentimiento, siempre quiere resolver todo a su manera con tal de no perder "su vida perfecta" (Sí lamentablemente ella cumplió su sueño, para saber más te recomiendo ver la serie).
Both male characters are quite mysterious and in this first part he leaves us with many unknowns of who are Moon's allies and who are enemies, for now the enemies are clearly the ones who made Moon suffer at school who are : Leader Park Yeon Jin (Im Ji Yun), Lee Sa Ra (Kim Hieora), Son Myung Oh (Kim Gun Woo), Jeon Jae Joon (Park Sung Hoon) and Choi Hye Jung (Cha Joo Young). The performances have been good, so much so that there are certain moments where you put yourself in the shoes of the aggressors themselves but when they make you remember the past you feel hatred for them again, especially towards Park Yeon JIn (Im Ji Yun), the truth is that you hate her to such an extent that you want Moon to achieve her revenge because although there are many involved in this case, the mastermind was always her and of course she is a person who does not feel regret, she always wants to solve everything her way in order not to lose "her perfect life" (Yes, unfortunately she fulfilled her dream, to find out more I recommend you watch the series).
EXCELLENT SELECTION OF ACTORS
Cuando hay series asiáticas donde deben presentar historia juvenil y la historia de la adultez, tienden a fallar bastante en la selección de actores (y no hablo de que sean malos actores, sino que al conocer estos personajes es más fácil ubicarlos por el rostro que el nombre en sí, por ello considero importante que sean los más parecidos posibles al elenco adulto) esta serie hizo una selección espectacular, el parecido con cada uno de los actores es increíble, gracias a ello no me sentí perdida de quién es quién y al contrario los identificaba rápidamente. Cada uno logró a su manera hacernos creer que son la misma persona, por ello mi experiencia (al menos en el episodio 1) no sabía a quién odiar más, son personas tan malas que ya no sabes quién es peor la verdad.
When there are Asian series where they have to present a youth story and the story of adulthood, they tend to fail a lot in the selection of actors (and I'm not talking about them being bad actors, but knowing these characters makes it easier to locate them by face than by the name itself, so I consider it important that they are as similar as possible to the adult cast) this series made a spectacular selection, the resemblance to each of the actors is incredible, thanks to this I did not feel lost who is who and on the contrary, he quickly identified them. Each one managed in their own way to make us believe that they are the same person, for this reason my experience (at least in episode 1) I did not know who to hate more, they are such bad people that you no longer know who is worse, the truth.
A versatile Actress
La actriz joven Shin Ye Eun que interpreta a la adolescente Park Yeon Jin fue aclamada por varios de los espectadores por su increíble interpretación de la conocida villana, debo admitir que cuando vi la escena del maltrato con la rizado de cabello me sorprendió la actuación de ella porque ella ya había interpretado a una víctima en el kdrama "Revenge of Others" y ahora es ella quién interpreta a la agresora, este cambio en su actuación es impresionante. Ambos proyectos son del mismo año 2022, por ello esto debió ser un gran reto para ella y admirablemente el resultado fue muy bien recibido, demostrando que ella puede ser bastante dinámica en sus actuaciones y no sólo quedarse con una imagen de "niña buena".
The young actress Shin Ye Eun who plays the teenager Park Yeon Jin was acclaimed by many of the viewers for her amazing portrayal of the well-known villain, I have to admit that when I saw the mistreatment scene with the curly hair I was surprised by her acting because she had already played a victim in the kdrama "Revenge of Others" and now she is playing the aggressor, this change in her acting is impressive. A pocos días de su estreno comenzaron las críticas, tratándose de las escenas de violencia dado que tienen similitudes con un caso real (sobre todo la escena de la rizadora para el cabello) por lo que se sospecha que esta serie fue inspirado en este caso o en otros casos similares a este, una de las primeras impresiones de los espectadores es que dudaban de que este hecho hubiera ocurrido en la vida real, y claro que sí, hubo un caso ocurrido en el año 2006 en Cheongju en la ciudad de Corea del Sur por lo cual de este caso se cuenta lo siguiente: "Una joven (K) usó una rizadora de cabello para lastimar físicamente a una de sus compañeras (J). El reporte que se levantó en su momento también indicaba que la víctima había sufrido otras formas de agresión, como golpes con los puños, con los pies, e incluso con un bate de baseball.
