Bong Joo-ho famous for his work “Snowpiercer” in his recent addition directed Okja- a tale of a girl and her pet super-pig created to eradicate the worlds hunger issue. But because of the pig being with the family for over ten years their bond becomes even much stronger than blood. So when the company Mirando Corporation comes to take away their property the little girl “Mija” the little girl attempts to save Okja with utter determination and even with risking her life. In this venture she meets a somewhat odd group of individuals calling themselves ALF-Animal Liberation Front who wants to free animals from Mirando Corporations Cruelity. Together they plan to save Okja but little did they know that their plan would lead them to events that are archaic and disturbing in nature.

Now as a Netflix flick you would some times expect their movies to be full of cheap vfx and over the top sound track which tends to create a thematic that goes the other way than the movie is intended. But Okja delivered its purpose successfully with on point CGI, character development and cinematography. You would never feel like you aren't watching a big screen release. Bong Joo-ho made sure of that.
