Those of you who know the name Dennis Villeneuve what comes to mind first when his name is spoken out loud? Some would say ‘’Blade Runner 2049’’, some would say ‘‘Incendies’’. And then there are some who would say ‘‘Arrival’’. If you ask why the answer is quite simple. This flick with an Oscar in its pocket has to be in the top 100 of any movie enthusiast on the basis that its one of the most perfectly portrayed “Non Linear” Drama, Mystery and Sci-Fi mash-up. And why is that if you ask, because there aren't this many non linear sci-fi. Tobe exact its countable with fingers.

Based on the novel “Story of Your Life” written by ‘‘Ted Chiang” Arrival is a very minimalistic sci-fi. I mean if you haven't noticed almost allof the sci-fi movies released in recent years has a very big budget for their city destruction scenes. From that mambo jumbo this movie is very different and quite an work of art.

The cast Amy Adams (one of my favorite actresses but not for DCEU though) Jeremy Renner (I know about him from watching the first Thor) playing the respective roles of Dr Louise Banks and Ian Donnelly delivered a perfect performance. And the other major cast wast Forest Whitaker ( Colonel Weber )who delivered a performance worth mentioning as well.

The movie starts with following a linguist specialist Louise ( Amy Adams ) who is recruited by the army in the event of twelve UFO arriving in earth to communicate with them. Ian (Jeremy Renner ) a physicist is also recruited for the same purpose. They then after some some scientific explanations ( for drama creation ) make the first contact.
After giving you this much spoiler I am sure some crazy fan boy will curse me and give me a hard time. All fun ( not sure if it worked ) aside this is a must watch for everyone reading this post.
Though the movie has some weak points which all movies are default to its cinematography and screen play is unexpectedly great. With a 94% from rotten tomatoes 7.9 from IMDB this flick was quite appreciated by almost every critique of this genre. So send your appreciations towards me if I somehow manged to influence you to watch this movie and you had a great time.
