ENG: For someone unfamiliar with the zombie genre, I think this film is one of the best options. It seemed to me that this isn't a zombie story. This is a heartwarming story about a boy who realizes that adults are full of flaws, that many lie, and this causes him to mature quickly in a setting where zombies happen to be around. Don't get me wrong, the moments when zombies appear are filled with thrilling suspense. The kind of suspense that keeps you breathless and on the edge of your seat. But it didn't seem to me like it was a proper zombie movie like the first installment, 28 Days Later. The main focus was on the infected and how to escape them. All of this makes me think that 28 Days Later is a coming-of-age film. Since the child protagonist realizes that he can make decisions that go in a different direction than the people he lives with, separating himself from the herd, and that separating himself from a group of people with whom you don't share the same worldview is sometimes a good thing. Now, regarding the "zombie movie" genre, I want to talk about how well this film is made. It's super entertaining. There are beautiful settings, and they're presented to you in a super creative way; Danny Boyle is still at the top of his game. The visual style sold in this installment remains solid from start to finish and is impressive. I thought the way they filmed the action in this installment was super music video-like. And there's a lot of texture; I thought they played with several interesting lenses throughout the film. Sometimes the edges of the image are distorted or slightly twisted by the lens, and this gives it a lot of style. The way the lenses capture the light... everything here is very well thought out to give the film a special look. It's a visual delight. Now, as for the characters, everyone is great. Here, all the actors are giving 101% of their abilities. I really liked Ralph Fiennes as the exiled doctor who lives alone. I found it funny that he never finished killing the zombie that was hanging around his property. I think it was a way of not being alone. It's the only excuse I can think of for keeping that "alpha" loose all the time. And the fact that all that free time was reflected in the work of art that is the cemetery, which I'll call "Memento Mori," seemed too human to me. From all the things he managed to do, it's clear he's quite a creative guy, and he was obviously going to end up doing some kind of art rather than just engineering or medicine. It makes perfect sense that he built that monument. If he had started painting, I would have understood it too, but the monument looks cooler in this movie. And of course, it leads to one of the most touching moments in the entire story, when the boy climbs to the top of the tower to leave an offering facing the sun. I don't want to say this in case you haven't seen the film, but those who have will know exactly what I'm talking about. Aron Taylor Johnson was incredibly good. His character was incredibly raw, and I'm not justifying him, but I completely understand why he did the things he did, and it makes perfect sense within this narrative. Everything about this film seemed very well executed to me. The performances were brutal, with pure, pedigreed actors, a good script, not a word wasted, the action was super entertaining, and the suspense leaves you breathless. 10/10. One of the best I've seen this year.
Let me tell you first that this is not a spoiler, and neither will I ever write any spoilers because the stories that I am going to talk to you about are so stunning that I want you all to watch them yourself and enjoy the feeling of settling those dramas into your heart. :)
Before anyone doubts it by looking at the thumbnail, let me clarify that I have not seen this drama yet. That's why it is written 'Reminder Set' in the thumbnail, as I am waiting for the release of this drama on Netflix. So I haven't seen this drama, so why am I talking about it? Well, because today when I was blogging on a drama named "Juvenile Justice", my wife shared a story about another drama which she had watched with subtitles a few years ago, and as I have told you that I am a slow reader, so I wait for the dramas to be dubbed in my native language.
Usually, the names of Korean dramas tell something about the plot of their story, but this one is quite blank. But its storyline will take you on a thrilling journey, because in this story you will see a ruthless grim reaper who has taken over the body of a detective, and he is here because he has been given the task of finding one of his runaway partner in this human world and here he meets a woman who sees the shadows of death around people just before their death.
According to the mythology shown in the drama, grim reapers are mostly those people who die an accidental death before their time. After which they have to wander for thousands of years. They cannot be seen by ordinary people, but the heroine of this drama "Ha-Ram" has had this special ability since childhood. So she starts seeing the shadows of death around people before their death, which lets her know that this person is about to die now. Although the job of the grim reaper who has taken over the body of the detective is only to find his runaway partner, he meets the girl, and together they try to solve murders and save people's lives, that too while following the rules of the real and supernatural worlds.
Although I have written a lot about the plot of the drama, believe me, there is a lot more to it that will not only thrill you but also make you laugh and a little emotional. This drama, like all my other favourite dramas, will hook you right from the first episode. I not only liked the story but also the way it was shown on screen, all the visuals and special effects. The acting of all the actors was amazing, every character shown in the entire drama will seem special. And even though this is an action thriller drama, like many others, you will get to see romance, drama, comedy and all other emotions and that too in a perfectly balanced amount.
So overall, the story of this drama, its characters and the way they picturised everything is so exciting, chilling, engaging and joyful that after listening to it, I felt that like me, you all should also add it to your watchlist. I don't know when this drama will come on Netflix because there is no date mentioned here, but now I am going to wait for it, and I am sure you will too. ✌️😎

I had the opportunity to see this movie on its opening day, and I must say that I was amazed. I didn't have very high expectations for this film because I've never been a big fan of the Fantastic Four, but I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the family dynamic, very much in the style of The Incredibles or the classic Fantastic Four comics, which are very well done. It's not a Deadpool or Wolverine-style movie with lots of action at every turn, because the film seeks to reflect the sense of adventure, the sense of exploration, and the sense of family. The latter may sound a bit corny, but it's very well done within the film.
One of the strengths of this film is the script and the performances, which are truly impressive. And while the trailers for the film showed fairly mediocre special effects, the truth is that what is now in theaters is much better done. You can tell that they polished it up, even when you see the Silver Surfer, you can see the characters' reflections in many moments. The film does not seek to be a giant cinematic event in the style of The Avengers. In fact, it encompasses its own universe, and this gives it the potential for new audiences to give this universe a chance, without feeling like they have to watch three series and five films to understand the plot, as was the case with The Thunderbolts. That's why I think this film has immense potential to reach new audiences.
And yes, it is the perfect gateway to the new Avengers movie. in this review I didn't want to give away any major spoilers because I truly believe that the film is an experience that everyone should enjoy. Even if you're not particularly a fan of any Marvel films, I think you can enjoy this film as something completely separate and you might even like it. And yes, if you watch it with family or friends, I think you might like it even more because this whole concept of family unity and love is incredibly well done. I think they hit the nail on the head with a completely new formula that doesn't depend on humor, doesn't depend on action, and depends on its own tone. Plus, all this retro-futuristic aesthetic gives the film a very special essence.
For the most part 28 Years Later went over me. But this isn't because I wasn't interested; I certainly was! But living in Armenia now, it's not likely that this country gets a whole lot of unique cinema releases. I had to wait for a digital release in order to watch it. But that didn't stop me from catching wind of the various promotional material on the Internet: the many little advertisements and behind-the-scenes clips which showed the technical process of shooting the film, and one particular piece of narrative that they really went with: the use of iPhones to shoot the film. A little loosely defined given only some parts of the film used them, and the rest of the film was utilising various cinema cameras and cine lenses. Still, anyone that knows of Danny Boyle would understand that he doesn't care for the technicals that much, merely seeing each part of the process as a tool. The iPhone simply useful for certain perspectives in environments certain other setups would not have been able to easily reach, instead offering additional immersion into the scenes. I'll speak a bit more on the technicals later.
28 Years Later was something I still remained quite sceptical of, primarily with there being a comic book that was released many years ago which almost served as a bit of a finale to the brand. And with Boyle being so against making a sequel in his previous talks whenever the film was mentioned. A sudden announcement of a sequel in this era of reboots, remakes, and sequels that don't offer much didn't spark high confidence in me, especially once I saw the casting which felt a bit too reliant on bigger names, where the previous films felt more grounded with actors from the UK that pretty much only those from the UK would've likely recognised. Low budget, small and mostly unknown casts, the films offered something unique to the already stale zombie genre. That said, I will admit that 28 Weeks Later is definitely the weaker title of the two, perhaps three films. This film picks up with the remaining people of the Scottish Highlands, where the last of the UK's survivors reside. Locked off by the water from the larger islands, where the threat remains and continues to haunt. Starting off with an introduction that shows how those in some areas still see the virus spreading.
A great touch to the film is how the people that have managed to survive on these islands don't have your typical southern English accents, more northern ones, a nice attention to detail that speaks on how much of the south would've been wiped out, and had not made it all the way north. I really liked how this was done, it made the world feel a bit more real in that sense. But the directing and cinematography ensures that things don't feel natural and safe, there's always something with the lens choices which makes things seem off. Whether it's the perspectives used to make something seem more threatening, or the effects of the lenses themselves: large blurring of surroundings from vintage glass. Strong chromatic aberration which adds a halo type of blue to highlights. Most of the time the film industry tries to avoid such effects from lenses, though here it's used to make everything have this bloom to it, like it's some nightmare that can't be escaped. The way things look also produces this overlooker type of environment, as if the viewer is this distorted zombie figure watching from afar.
Much of the film's narrative explores the concept of killing, showcasing scenes from films that portray medieval times, all the way to the Second World War. It explores this concept of what's animalistic and brutal behaviour, and whether that itself is natural. A comparison to the infected, given it's something massively out of the ordinary but still displays the same sort of acts that have been unfolding for centuries: death, killing, and plenty of slaughter at the hands of men holding weapons. One line in particular speaks on this: the more you kill, the easier it becomes. It's quite a straightforward thing to say regarding a zombie film, honestly. But I don't think it really bothered me, the film itself is done in such creative ways that the main 'thing' the film is trying to say just wasn't a question of mine. So many thrills and creative perspectives that the pacing, while up and down, still feels like it's enough to bring out that animalistic anxiety within. The original films did something similar in showing how survivors still turn into similar violent beings as the infected.
Of course the doom is amplified by the idiocy of a child, though. One that was taught the ropes but is too emotional with the attempts to protect his mother, who appears to be rapidly decaying from what appeared to be some sort of mental disorder that remained untreated. This serves as a nice contrast the previous points, where man while violent, is still obscured by their lack of rational thought due to emotional attachment to things and people. I was glad to see that the film wasn't just a copy of the previous narrative structures, it felt unique. Beautiful in its cinematography and with a story that stood out compared to the rest.
When I watched this movie recently, I asked myself, "Why haven't you watched this movie before now?" Even the trailer as interesting as it is, barely scratches the amazing details, great actors and funny as hell too!!! It is one heist movie you wouldn't want to miss.
A movie directed by Choi Dong-hoon and starring great actors like Kim Yoon-seok, Kim Hye-soo, Lee Jung-jae, Jun Ji-hyun (Gianna Jun), Kim Soo-hyun, and others, it remains one of the highest grossing Korean films of all time.
Plot Summary
A group of elite Korean thieves teams up together with a crew of Hong Kong criminals. Their plan was to steal a rare diamond known as “The Tear of the Sun” from a casino in Macau. But of course this can't be a walk-over mission. Then again, everyone who's a part of this slick crew team up, has a hidden agenda, so trusting each other was an issue.
Macao Park, a man with a murky past is the one who recruits the Korean crew for this heist while the Hong Kong crew is led by Chen and Andrew.
Their mission to steal the the twenty million dollar diamond from the heavily guarded Macau casino and sell it to an unknown buyer in Seoul was filled with betrayals and double-crosses.
I loved the stunts, the shootouts, and the sudden twists. When everything goes south, it becomes every thief for themselves—and the final prize goes to the one who can outwit them all.
I loved the performance of Jun Ji-hyun, portrayed by Yenicell, an actress I fell in love with from way back, "My Sassy Girl". Yenicell did great with her amazing badass character. She steals the show with her bold and athletic performances.
It is fast pace, with lots of action, very energetic, wildly entertaining. From rooftop chases to slow motion fights to wire-walking stunts.... It has it all..
Of course I would expect nothing less than a stellar performance from a movie that broke box office records in Korea upon release and sold over 12 million tickets domestically..... Wow!
The second one is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets which is a continuation of the popular movie series Harry Potter that most of us watch. I followed in this movie whereby I watched Harry Potter when he came back to Hogwarts School of witchcraft and Wizardry to study in his second year. However, this time, there is something very weird and dangerous going on at the school. Students are being attacked one by one with a secret room in the school being opened called the Chamber of Secrets. A few weeks ago I watched the movie once more, and I would like to tell you about the emotions which I had during my first viewing of the movie. I will tell what the story is about as well as what I liked and disliked in the movie.
THE PLOT
At the beginning of the movie, Harry Potter was miserable. He is with his uncle, aunt and cousin. They do not behave well to him. They mistreat him and in fact, they chain him in his room a good part of the time. He is not getting any letter from his friends and he also misses his school a lot. and, all of a sudden, there it is, in his room, quite an unusual little fellow. The animal has the name Dobby as indicated in the movie. Dobby is short, comical and very annoying. He informs Harry not to go to school since something evil is about to happen in school.
Although it seems like he comes to the rescue of Harry, he only leads Harry into further trouble. The uncle of Harry gets angry when Harry locks him in the room. This is why I sympathised with Harry. One cannot possibly exist in a home in which nobody worries about him/her.
And then something is interesting that comes about Ron, who is a friend of Harry, flies in with his brothers in a flying car to rescue Harry. It is a part that I liked very much The car zooms to the house and Harry is taken away. With the Weasley house they bring Harry and he feels happy once more. The Weasley family is a very warm family. Soon it comes the time when they have to go to school; hence they all visit the magic market where they purchase their books and materials.
As they shop they encounter a new teacher who goes by the name of Gilderoy Lockhart. This man constantly talks and shows-off. His looks did not please me at the very first glance. He behaves like a hero, yet he is not so much inclined to understand. They also face Draco Malfoy and his father who are always rude.
On the first day of school, Harry and Ron attempt to go through the magic wall to enter the platform of the train station, but it does not help. After waiting, or getting help, they find a way to get into Hogwarts by taking the flying car one more time. A totally nuts excellent film to watch. They land on a huge agitated tree which is called Whomping Willow. yes, that is, fattening, in this tree, they are The vehicle they are traveling in goes after them and ends up with dumping them unconsciously. I was also very scared and at the same time laughing. Once they go to the school, they are punished. and here starts the history of the matter of fact.
A strange thing starts happening very soon after the school starts. And one day they discover the statue of a cat, it is frozen. Writing on the wall: Written on the wall is written: The Chamber of Secrets is the one who opened it because: Blood is written on the wall. and no one knows who tore it open, and what after all is in it It leaves the whole world terror-stricken Others are associated with more people being frozen, students and even ghosts. Harry starts feeling things in the wall that no person can hear.
Due to that reason, people start to regard him as the culprit behind all that. Even teachers are not sure about him I feel bad about Harry since he was only trying to help but now the people avoid him.
Harry, Ron and Hermione are trying to address what is going on. They conduct secret research and communicate with one of the ghosts in the girls' bathroom, called Moaning Myrtle. She is a girl who committed suicide long time ago. Then they find out that there is a magic diary. When Harry writes in it, he visualises the memory of the past. We hear the other voice of a student Tom Riddle in the memory where he says that Hagrid once opened the chamber. However, that proves to be false.
It then gets worse as even Hermione falls victim and becomes stone. This was a heart breaker that was real to me. Hermione is intelligent and she is selfless helping the group. Now she is not able to move, she is not able to talk. However, before the statue was created, she had another valuable clue, the monster that goes after people is a basilisk, a giant snake that kills with its eyes.
Late on, Ron jr., the little sister of Ginny goes missing. Harry and Ron find out that she has been removed into the Chamber of Secrets. They turn to their no good teacher Lockhart to assist them. Lockhart is not courageous at all. He also attempts to escape, after which, he attempts to have Harry forgotten through magic. The magic goes wrong and it works in his disfavor. Harry and Ron make their way back to the secret access to the room that is in the bathroom and Harry goes in.
He goes back to Tom Riddle and back again to the room. However, this time Tom Riddle tells he really is Lord Voldemort when he was a boy. Ginny is lying on the floor and she is nearly in a dead state. Riddle takes out a humongous snake, the basilisk to kill Harry. This was the part of emotions and actions. When Harry dies, he is saved by a kind of bird and magic named Fawkes. The bird is dropped by a sword, which gives Harry the chance to fight the basilisk with it. He does kill the snake, but in the process he becomes wounded. And next he burns the diary with a sharp bit of the snake's tooth. As soon as the diary is taken away, Ginny wakes up and the evil magic ceases.
Harry and the others all go back to school after all this happens. The students who had been frozen are thawed. It means, once more, of pleasures. And all are thrilled that Hermione comes back. Hagrid even gets back when they have sent him to prison. It is a huge party in the school. Something clever is also done by Harry. By or with the help of a sock he manages to get Lucius Malfoy into setting Dobby the house-elf free. Now Dobby Is a free elf and he is very happy. That was my sort of one of my favorite things and things to do. The treatment of Dobby was that of a slave but now he has an opportunity to have his life.
MY REVIEW
This was a movie that I really liked when I was watching it. I had a good many things to say, and a good many things to laugh about, and to be afraid about, a great deal, and a good many things to be glad about. The performance of the actors was very satisfactory. Harry was courageous, Ron was humorous and Hermione was smart even when she is not present in all or a portion of the narrative. The special effects were quite good, namely, the magic spells, the big snake, and the flying car. The way the story was not too slow and too fast was also something I liked.
It even allowed the mystery to have its own way. I began to guess who was the bad person at some point. I was a little lost when reading the story, but this is fun. I enjoyed the aspect of demonstrating the importance of friendship as provided in the movie. Harry never gave up even when he was alone. He never gave up in a bid to save his school and friends.
There were certain lessons taught by this movie as well. It is revealed that to be a proud or famous person such as Lockhart is not to be a brave person. It demonstrated the idea that little people can do big things, as is the case with Dobby. It demonstrated that you should never stop doing what is right even when you are being regarded as a criminal. I believe that the story of Harry can be used by many young persons, particularly, in Nigeria. Life in school is hard but having friends and courage, anything can be achieved.
CONCLUSION
To sum up, I would say that Harry Potter and the Chamber of the Secrets is a very good film. I loved the plot, the performance, the scenes, and even some of the little jokes. It is a film that is family friendly. It is packed with magic, and the true magic is the way the characters assist each other.
You will enjoy part two, especially when you watch part one. In case you have not seen any movie of Harry Potter movie previously, the first one will attract your attention. This movie gets a score of 9 on a 10 scale. All in all it was done for fun. I am going to watch part three soon and I cannot wait to see what will eventually happen.
I saw the prompt focus for this week and I thought this is the sign I needed to finally review the recent cause of sensation in the movie industry, Kpop Demon Hunters. I've seen the movie for over five times but yet to write any review about it and that's simply because I've been thinking I'll have too much about it to share.
Anyone who have seen the movie will agree with me that there's so much to love about it, from the songs to the storyline to the characters and finally to the effect of the movie in the world today, everything is exciting and nice about the movie. So anyone would get why it has been kinda hard to share my thoughts on the movie.
"Kpop Demon Hunters" is a 2025 released animation movie that combines kpop (a Korean music style) with Korean culture to demon hunting, the characters are voiced by popular actors like Lee Byung-hun, Arden Cho, May Hong, Ji-young Yoo, Ahn Hyo-seop and Daniel Dae Kim. It's a movie that has top all the charts.
Honestly, I want to take my time to review every aspect of this movie to possibly bring more people who haven't seen it to go for it regardless of the hype because it is totally worth the hype. But to limit my review from being too lengthy for the read, I decided to share my thoughts on some characters I consider the best among the others.
Here Are My 8 best Characters In "Kpop Demon Hunters"
They are the best because I enjoyed every scene they played in, they are funny, unique, beautiful designs, compelling characters and most of all, they bring out more emotions from me as a viewer which I believe is same for many other fans. Reviewing these best characters could give a good clue to anyone that the movie is worth it.
8. Baby Saja - Personality Goes Against Looks.
"Goo Goo Gaa Gaa!" still cracks me up anytime.
Baby Saja has to be the cutest rapper with a deep voice I've ever seen in an animation. He reminds so much of the kpop band member "Felix" in "Stray kids". Baby Saja has the most personality play after Jinu and he is an interesting villain who only goes along with Jinu's plan to bother huntrix. He has an innocent look but not innocent at all.
7. Healer Han - Too Creative and Accurate.
To treat the part, you must understand the whole!
I'm not sure how many viewers enjoyed the scene where Healer Han played in, I was literally cracking up at all that played out from the agreement to meet him, the meet up and the discovery after they left. Healer Han is one of the strangest and funny character with his wide eyes, accurate personality read and creative pictures.
6. Derpy Tiger - Fierce But Adorable.
It's attempt to right a fallen flower pot was lovely!
Jinu: I made it for the tiger but the bird keeps taking it. Jinu's Derpy tiger with the bird always with it gave me good sense of Korean culture in this movie. It's appearance might scare anyone off but his curiosity and mind to right things makes viewers forget it is owned by a demon lol.
5. Bobby - Stressed But Loves His Girls.
Bobby's words "I can handle this, I'm not having nervous breakdown" was so funny and reminds me so much of a particular manager in a kpop based drama series I saw years ago, "You Are Beautiful". Shocking thing was, I checked out the series because of Bobby. He loves and protects Huntrix even though he's so stressed, he's good!
4. Zoey - The Brightest Demon Hunter.
"Magicians! I mean, demons!" cracked me up too.
Her part in the song "Golden" gave away who she is, "I couldn't find my own place" but somehow Zoey is like a permanent light to the darkness of the demon hunters, a perfect example of loyalty to friends and always happy to bring solutions to anything that could cause issues among her friends. I'd say Zoey brings laughter when it's sad.
3. Mira - The Fierce Demon Hunter.
I came across a short clip that almost convinced me that Mira is a demon too. I know it's not true but her fierce side towards the demons and protecting her friends and fans with some points the clip shared, you'd almost believe she is a demon lol. Mira may seem harsh on the outside but she is only trying to stand for what is right.
2. Rumi - Part Demon With A Beautiful Voice.
I think Rumi being the leader of huntrix and is a part demon with a powerful voice speaks volume of how incredible she is and how much responsibilities she had on her shoulder. So it made sense when she did too much to keep her demon side from her friends. Rumi effortlessly demands for attention, she's a really great leader.
1. Jinu - The All-Rounder Character.
Jinu gave us so many iconic and funny moments like "Mind the face, I need it to steal your fans!", "Teady bears and choo choo trains, really? Choo Choo!" 😂 and then his heartwrecking words "You gave me my soul back and now, I give it to you"
Jinu is the most complex and developed character which makes the best out of all, he has the most tragic backstory and ending but his journey from being just an evil demon to sacrificing his soul to protect Rumi is one story arc that fans would always love. I also wish for a continuation for more of Jinu as others wish too.
I didn't share anything about the musical side of the movie... It's intentional but trust me, all the songs are a hit for me and I can't wait to write about every one of them when I can. For now, check out the trailer or go watch whole movie if you haven't. Kpop Demon Hunters is a 10/10.

Hello everyone, I hope you're all doing great, dear Hive community, today I want to share a new review, I want to tell you about this curious anime, I'll give you my opinions on: SING "YESTERDAY" FOR ME... I saw it a while ago, and recently, I remember that the idea sounded quite interesting to me, like different from the typical high school love stories, you know? mind you, it's based on a manga that lasted YEARS, like 18 years! Crazy, so you can imagine it has a good background, well, I finally watched it all and... uff, gang, I have A LOT of things to say... so, we have to gossip about this. To begin with, the start is really interesting... right away they throw us into this... vibe...like a "toxic quartet", it focuses on four people who are caught up in a tangle of feelings that, what should I tell you about! We have Rikuo Uozumi, our protagonist, fresh out of university but stuck in a part-time job at a konbini, feeling super lost in life... super easy to relate to, right?
I mean, who hasn't gone through that post-study panic of "what the fuck do I do now?"? Then there's Hinako Morinome, who was his university crush and suddenly, boom!, she appears back in town, now as a teacher... and Rikuo, obviously, is still super in love with her... but hang in there, because this is where it gets good! Enter Haru Nonaka, a younger girl, with a ton of energy, kind of peculiar, like 18 years old, who works in a cafe and seems to have dropped out of high school for some kind of weird reason, she's also really, REALLY crazy about Rikuo, and she says it almost instantly! Plus she has a pet crow named Kansuke that follows her everywhere (don't even ask, it's all a drag).
And to complete the picture, there's Rou Hayakawa, a high school boy who turns out to be the younger brother of Hinako's childhood boyfriend who passed away... and guess what? Rou is also kind of in love with Hinako, although she only sees him as a little brother... so imagine the mess: Haru likes Rikuo; Rikuo likes Hinako; Hinako is still kind of tormented by her dead ex but can't seem to let go of Rikuo; and Rou likes Hinako... it's the perfect storm of unrequited love and complicated pasts. Everyone wants someone in the group, but the arrows don't connect well, do you understand?! Nothing is direct... this already creates a super captivating dynamic, full of potential for drama, misunderstandings, and yes, maybe some relationships that feel kind of... weird or uncomfortable, it hooks you immediately, leaving you thinking: "Okay, how the heck are we going to fix this madness!?"
The series doesn’t want to stay only in the romantic drama, it really tries to get into deeper things about relationships in general, not just those between couples, it touches on how our expectations, our HUGE insecurities (yes, I’m looking at you, Rikuo) and all the weight we carry from the past screw up the way we connect with people… it kind of goes for that realistic vibe of ‘growing up’, of maturing, showing you the characters struggling with adult life, understanding things little by little, and sometimes through blows. Honestly, I really liked that intention, especially at the beginning… that whole Rikuo downturn felt super real, that feeling of being lost without knowing what to do with your future… I think a lot of us can identify with that, right? Buuuut, this is where things started to make me uneasy, where the emotion I had started to go down a bit… because although the idea of showing realistic growth is cool, the way they do it… ehhh.
I felt like the series got stuck, going around in circles, the same problems came up over and over again, the characters took one step forward and boom, two steps back... a lot of times it felt like... like yeah, things were happening on the surface, but deep down nothing was really changing. And let's talk about Hinako for a bit... this girl is... quite a case. She's clearly the one causing most of the drama, always stuck with her first love from a thousand years ago... okay, I understand that getting over someone is complicated, but how hard it was for her to let go! The confusing signals she sent Rikuo, and how her mere presence seemed to cause a mess... it got to be frustrating... like, VERY frustrating. I know she's supposed to be complex, that she has her realistic problems and everything, but watching her was like watching someone purposely ruin any chance of happiness, for herself and for everyone else. Did she change at all? Maybe a little bit, towards the end, but most of the time she felt like an anchor pulling everyone down, I went from feeling sorry for her to wanting her to shut up for a century.
And that slow pace, which yes, sometimes helps it feel real, the truth is that it started to feel repetitive... like, okay, we get the picture: Rikuo is insecure, Hinako is tormented, Haru is super insistent, Rou is all angsty. And then what? There were entire episodes where I felt like we were just going around in circles, with the same conversations that didn't lead anywhere, over and over again... a friend of mine compared it to BoJack Horseman, which also has characters with a ton of problems and cycles, but BoJack explores them with interesting depth and there are important changes (even if they hurt). Here, at times it seemed like the change was almost nonexistent, and the excuse was "well, it's because it's realistic!" Well yes, but it's not always the most entertaining thing to watch for 12 episodes... and now, let's talk about the elephant in the room: the ending. This is where a lot of people have mixed opinions, and I completely understand why, without spoiling exactly who ends up with whom, let's just say that how things are resolved feels... rushed. Very suddenly...
Almost as if the creators ran out of time and boom!, they forced the characters together to wrap everything up. What they kept saying about a forced "happy ending" feels crystal clear, although the path to get there didn't seem to allow for that. Characters who spent the entire series doubting themselves suddenly make decisions that change their lives in five minutes. Relationships take a 180-degree turn for one or two conversations after months of being stagnant, it left me with a really strange taste in my mouth, as if the realism they were looking for had been thrown away in the end to try to please... well, I don't even know who, because the truth is I found it hardly believable... and that brings us to the adaptation thing. Remember when I told you that the manga lasted like 18 years?
Well, it turns out it has like 113 chapters. Imagine trying to fit all of that into just 12 anime episodes (and a few extras)! It's an impossible mission; it's almost certain that the characters' stories are going to feel cut, that subplots are going to be removed, and that there will be a lack of context or important development... you honestly feel like there are pieces missing while watching it. They give you glimpses into past stories or supporting characters who could be interesting, but they're never fully explored. Haru, for example, despite being one of the main characters, often felt underdeveloped beyond her relentless pursuit of Rikuo. Why is she so obsessed with him? They give you a few clues, but they don't go into much depth.
Okay, moving on to the technical side... well... is it okay? The character designs are fine, simple but they say their thing, they fit the "slice-of-life" vibe... but the backgrounds look like real photos with a crappy filter applied... it's really noticeable at times and it does throw you off, what a strange decision, really... the music, well... it was okay. So, after all this complaining, what's the deal? What's the verdict? Well, honestly, I'm torn... it's not that I hated it, it had its good moments of reflection, flashes of emotion that you identify with, and the initial idea was very powerful, I liked that it tried to touch on the chaos of starting adult life and relationships in a more realistic way than other anime... but... the problems that were repeated, how frustrating it was to see that the characters barely changed for much of the series, and that ending that I really didn't like at all and felt super rushed...
Well, they did lower my excitement points... it felt like a series with a lot of potential but that didn't quite come together, mostly because they wanted to cram a really long story into very few episodes... if I had to give it a rating... I don't know, 6.5/10... I mean, it's worth checking out if you like "slice-of-life" dramas that focus on the characters and you can put up with a slow pace and characters that give you gray hair, but be careful, Knowing that it has its flaws, especially the ending and that the story is super condensed. Have any of you seen it yet? Or read the manga? And well, that's all for today. I hope you enjoyed this review. We'll see you in the next ones. Take care! See you, bye!

In an era where the #MeToo movement has recalibrated societal norms around sexual misconduct and accountability, it is difficult to recall a time when prominent progressive figures would champion a high-ranking public official accused of sexual impropriety with such fervour. Yet, during the late 1990s Monica Lewinsky scandal, the cultural and political landscape was so polarised that Bill Clinton’s transgressions were treated not as a moral failing but as a partisan battleground. For many on the American left, Clinton—a figure idolised by Hollywood and the intelligentsia—was beyond reproach, while his accusers and pursuers, particularly Independent Counsel Kenneth Starr, became the true villains. This ideological divide permeates Law & Order’s Sideshow, an episode airing just five days after Clinton’s Senate acquittal in 1999. By casting Starr as a tyrannical prosecutor and framing the scandal through a lens of partisan warfare, the episode mirrors the era’s hyperpartisanship. Compounding its historical significance, Sideshow is the first part of a two-part crossover with Homicide: Life on the Street, further underscoring its ambition to transcend the procedural’s usual standalone format.
The plot, as with previous Law & Order–Homicide collaborations, prioritises contrivance over coherence to justify collaboration between New York and Baltimore law enforcement. The episode opens in New York, where a vacationing family discovers the body of Janine McBride, a federal official previously stationed at the White House and later transferred to Baltimore’s Social Security Administration. Detectives Lennie Briscoe (Jerry Orbach) and John Munch (Richard Belzer) uncover that Janine was suffocated before being shot and transported from Baltimore to New York. Interviews with her associates reveal she was a lesbian, and her lover, Faye Wellington (Meg Gibson), identifies Chesley Purcell (Delissa Reynolds), a Black prostitute, as the last person seen with Janine. However, the investigation is derailed by the relentless William Dell (George Hearn), a Starr-like prosecutor intent on exposing federal corruption. Dell pressures Assistant District Attorney Jack McCoy (Sam Waterston) to disclose Wellington’s identity, breaching confidentiality. Purcell is arrested but summoned by Dell to a federal grand jury; en route, she is killed by Ned Burks (Adam Grupper), Janine’s vengeful ex-boyfriend.
While Sideshow adheres to the Law & Order formula—combining legal procedural tropes with social commentary—it struggles to offer anything genuinely novel. The episode’s primary narrative engine is its allegorical critique of Starr, embodied by Dell, whose authoritarianism is telegraphed through Hearn’s performance. Dell’s relentless pursuit of political dirt over justice mirrors the era’s perception of Starr as a partisan zealot, though the portrayal lacks nuance. The social agenda is equally unambiguous: Janine’s sexuality is framed as a secret to be protected, reflecting 1990s liberalism’s limited understanding of homosexual representation. Meanwhile, the procedural elements—such as the jurisdictional overlap and the rushed resolution of Purcell’s death—feel derivative, relying on the show’s well-worn structure rather than inventive storytelling. A rare nod to continuity occurs when Dell’s clashes with McCoy echo prior episodes, a rare concession to narrative cohesion in a series built on standalone episodes.
Writer René Balcer’s script occasionally falters under the weight of its historical allegories. His reliance on 1950s and ’60s Cold War-era parallels feels forced. McCoy’s retort to Dell—“Have you no shame?”—a direct reference to Joseph Welch’s rebuke of Senator Joseph McCarthy during the Army-McCarthy hearings—feels overly didactic, shoehorning historical context into a dialogue that could have stood on its own. Similarly, the finale, in which Purcell is killed before testifying, evokes the Jack Ruby–Lee Harvey Oswald dynamic, suggesting a conspiracy theory undertone that clashes with the episode’s otherwise straightforward narrative. These moments, while thematically rich, strain credibility, prioritising political messaging over organic storytelling.
A lighter interlude involves Munch’s comedic subplot. Visiting Washington, he files a Freedom of Information Act request to review his FBI file, expecting documentation of his 1960s radicalism. Instead, he finds himself labeled a “harmless eccentric,” a joke underscoring the absurdity of bureaucratic overreach. Though brief, this sequence humanises Munch and injects levity into the otherwise grim proceedings, though its relevance to the main plot is negligible.
The episode’s conclusion leaves the central mystery unresolved, as the primary suspect (Purcell) is killed, forcing the sequel to contrive a new angle. This anti-climax undermines the tension built around Dell’s manipulations and McCoy’s resistance. The writers’ decision to eliminate the main suspect early raises questions about the second part’s ability to sustain interest without resorting to contrivance.
In sum, Sideshow is a product of its time—a procedural drama wrestling with the Clinton era’s moral and political ambiguities while clinging to its formula. Its strengths lie in its historical context and George Hearn’s formidable portrayal of Dell/Starr, but its reliance on tired tropes and heavy-handed allegory prevents it from transcending mediocrity.
This is the first time an anime has disappointed me so much. I really had high expectations and faith in it, but it ended up being unwatchable trash.
It's a shame because it started off quite well. Overall, it had a lot of potential, but they ruined it.
I know this is going to sound repetitive and annoying, but I'm fed up with excessive sexualization. At first it was annoying, but bearable. I thought I could tolerate it and ignore it if they gave me a good story. The problem is that it got to a point where it drove me crazy.
I'm not exaggerating in the slightest when I say that this series is one or two steps away from becoming hentai. And I'm not saying this because of the typical sexual jokes or the sensual design of some of the characters. That's all pretty standard. What I find unusual is that in the six episodes I watched, they tried to rape a blonde elf with the biggest boobs you'll ever see three times.
There was one scene in particular that made me feel very uncomfortable. When the busty elf is preparing a potion for the protagonist so he can sleep. By chance, she got confused and made a potion that gave energy and caused arousal. That moment was totally unnecessary.
I'm starting to think that the creator wrote this story with one hand while masturbating with the other. It seems like he was more concerned with designing boobs than creating a good story.
With that said, I assume that I am not part of the target audience for this anime. I am not a 13/14-year-old teenager with raging hormones all day long.
And I want to clarify something: I like hentai. I consume it from time to time, but there are times for one thing and times for another. I'm saying this so you don't think I'm gay or something like that 🤣
It also turns out to be very repetitive. From what I saw, the protagonist uses the same skill combo over and over again. He paralyzes and poisons. He did that to absolutely everyone. No matter how strong they are. He defeated everyone with the same strategy.
The animation is awful. I understand that the budget is limited and all that, but it's still disgusting. Especially because of the overuse of CGI. It sometimes makes the characters look like they're made of cardboard.

You all right? Grab your coffee or tea and make yourself comfortable, because by my standards I've already prepared a longer making of for you today.
So, today I present my JJK Sukuna fanart and fanmade animation and comic or manga.
You know, I was thinking over my morning coffee about how Sukuna is doing without the final boss Satoru Gojo. Sure, it's more likely that he's happy now. But in my wildest imagination, I thought it would be funnier if Sukuna was bored now.
Boring, because he no longer has an equal rival on whom he can vent all his hatred and try out his macabre ideas.
Instead of being happy, he is bored to tears because no one is as strong as he is and so he can no longer make any progress and has no one and nothing to hate.
So Sukuna now sits there on his bloody throne and discusses with himself what he could do now. His ego-oriented mind tries to immerse itself in various scenarios and think about how to get Gojo back in order to destroy him even more brutally.
Background information:
I used “AI Voiceover App” (that's what it's called in the App Store) for the voices and after I made the voice demonical sounding.
Satoru Gojos voice is original
The music was made with an AI app. “Suno App”.
As a drawing program I use “Ibispaint” (super cool for drawing) and as a video editing program I currently find “Youcut App” quite ok.
For my collages I've been using “Picsart App”, all free apps so far, unless you want to voluntarily unlock more and pay for it. So, you can easily use them too. 😘
I think at the moment these are quite helpful tools for creating more attractive animations at little or no cost.
I also made a little animation, please leave a like on Youtube, it costs nothing and I'm happy about it guys!
