Hace tiempo tenía ganas de ver una película que me había salido muy recomendada en Instagram, y había escuchado algunos comentarios y parecía por los mismos, que podría llegar a gustarme. Sin más, les quiero hablar de esta producción llamada 10 Lane Cloverfield

Esta es una película que sin duda debe verse con muchísima atención, gracias a que, cada momento es clave para buscar entender qué es lo que realmente está pasando. ¿Todo es una mentira o puede convertirse en una realidad? El filme nos brinda una sensación de desasosiego y una contemplación acerca de la esencia humana y los límites de la existencia. Es un filme que te atrapa en la silla, con un argumento ingenioso y unas interpretaciones sobresalientes.
This is a film that should certainly be watched with great attention, because every moment is key to understanding what is really going on: is it all a lie or can it become a reality? The film gives us a sense of unease and a contemplation about the human essence and the limits of existence. It's a film that grips you in your chair, with an ingenious plot and outstanding performances.
Mi opinión
Esta es una de esas películas que te atrapan desde el primer momento y no te sueltan hasta el final (lo cual es algo que me gustó bastante). No quiero repetir detalles que ya dije sobre la película, pero algunos de ellos te llevan a tender toda la trama de la misma. Estos 3 personajes que conocemos de inicio a fin, cada uno con personalidades muy muy diferentes, se encargan de hacerte dudar en cada segundo cuál es la verdad y cuál es la mentira, jugando con tus capacidades de deducción.
This is one of those films that grabs you from the first moment and doesn't let go until the end (which is something I quite liked). I don't want to repeat details I've already said about the film, but some of them lead you to the whole plot of the film. These 3 characters that we meet from beginning to end, each one with very different personalities, make you doubt in every second which is the truth and which is the lie, playing with your deduction abilities.
Uno de los mayores aciertos de la película es la atmósfera claustrofóbica que se respira en el búnker. La sensación de encierro y la incertidumbre sobre lo que ocurre afuera se transmiten de forma muy efectiva, gracias a una puesta en escena cuidada y a unas actuaciones excelentes. Algo que sin duda personalmente me desespero, es la capacidad que tiene la película de hacerte dudar hasta de tus propios pensamientos. En un momento al azar, podemos creer tener la razón sobre alguno de estos personajes, pero rápidamente, logran hacerte caer en cuenta de que aún te falta mucho por conocer. Un buen ejemplo de esto es el momento donde nuestra protagonista logra llegar a un punto de casi escape, del cual no sale para nada victoriosa, ya que al asomarse en dirección al exterior, logra ver a una persona quemándose, por el supuesto gas tóxico. Luego de esto, se puede creer que ya estaba confirmado que los peligros del exterior eran reales, pero siguen existiendo cosas, que logran hacernos dudar
Something that I personally despaired of is the film's ability to make you doubt your own thoughts. In a random moment, we may think we are right about one of these characters, but quickly, they make you realise that you still have a long way to go. A good example of this is the moment where our protagonist manages to reach a point of near escape, from which she does not emerge victorious at all, because when she looks outside, she sees a person being burned by the supposedly toxic gas. After this, we can believe that it was already confirmed that the dangers outside were real, but there are still some things that make us doubt.
El final de la película es especialmente impactante. No quiero dar mucho contexto de este final, por si alguien piensa en verla, pero quiero comentar que ninguno de los presentes dentro de ese lugar, ni nosotros, podríamos esperar todo lo que pasa afuera. Algunos espectadores pueden sentirse decepcionados por este giro, pero a mí me pareció una decisión valiente y arriesgada que le da a la película una dimensión adicional.
The end of the film is particularly shocking. I don't want to give too much context to this ending, in case anyone is thinking of watching it, but I do want to comment that none of the people inside that place, nor we, could have expected everything that happens outside. Some viewers may be disappointed by this twist, but I thought it was a brave and risky decision that gives the film an extra dimension.
En definitiva, esta es una película de suspense muy bien hecha que te mantiene en vilo de principio a fin. Es una película inteligente y original que te hará pensar y reflexionar mucho después de haberla visto. Es importante destacar que, aunque la película comparte el nombre "Cloverfield", no es una secuela directa de la primera película. De hecho, se trata de una historia independiente que comparte algunos elementos temáticos con la original, pero que se puede disfrutar perfectamente sin haber visto la primera.
All in all, this is a very well made thriller that keeps you on edge from beginning to end. It is an intelligent and original film that will make you think and reflect long after you have seen it. It is important to note that, although the film shares the name "Cloverfield", it is not a direct sequel to the first film. In fact, it is a stand-alone story that shares some thematic elements with the original, but can be enjoyed without having seen the first film.
