Invisible city es una serie de fantasía, misterio y folklore brasileño que llama la atención porque muestra un lado de la cultura brasileña que los extranjeros desconocemos.
El folklore de cada país es parte esencial de su identidad, a mí me resulta fascinante conocer las historias de personajes místicos que representan ciertos aspectos de la cultura de diferentes países a nivel mundial y gracias a "Invisible city" pude conocer a los personajes sobrenaturales que hacen vida en la cultura brasileña. Así como en Venezuela tenemos al silbón, el enano de la catedral, la sayona y demás seres particulares, en Brasil tienen al Saci, la cuca, Curupira y muchos otros seres pintorescos.

The folklore of each country is an essential part of its identity, I find it fascinating to know the stories of mystical characters that represent certain aspects of the culture of different countries worldwide and thanks to "Invisible city" I was able to meet the supernatural characters that make life in Brazilian culture. Just as in Venezuela we have the whistler, the dwarf of the cathedral, the sayona and other particular beings, in Brazil they have the Saci, the cuca, Curupira and many other picturesque beings.
Nuestro protagonista es un policía ambiental que, mientras investiga una curiosa muerte en un bosque que él está seguro oculta algo más grande de lo que se ve a simple vista, termina involucrado entre lo que consideramos la realidad, lo que es visible ante nuestros ojos y el mundo "invisible", habitado por seres con habilidades sobrenaturales.
A primera vista nos encontramos con un misterio que resolver que tiene mucho más detrás de lo que aparenta y con un protagonista que termina muy involucrado, pero que su participación en el desarrollo de los hechos no es tan casual como se pudiera creer en un inicio. La trama tiene muchas subtramas que irán uniendo las piezas del rompecabezas y darán sentido a la historia principal, todo tiene una razón de ser.
Al estar hablando de folklore y diversos seres místicos con trasfondos bien establecidos, podrán imaginar que hay mucha tela que cortar, pero la serie solo dura 7 capítulos, por lo que puede parecer insuficiente para abarcar todos los detalles de la historia, tal vez percibiéndose un poco apresurada, pero realmente no me pareció algo de mucha relevancia o que afectara mucho la historia de manera negativa.
Our protagonist is an environmental policeman who, while investigating a curious death in a forest that he is sure hides something bigger than what meets the eye, ends up involved between what we consider reality, what is visible to our eyes and the "invisible" world, inhabited by beings with supernatural abilities.
At first glance we find ourselves with a mystery to solve that has much more behind it than it appears and with a protagonist who ends up very involved, but that his participation in the development of the events is not as casual as one might believe at first. The plot has many subplots that will be joining the pieces of the puzzle and give meaning to the main story, everything has a reason to be.
Since we are talking about folklore and various mystical beings with well-established backgrounds, you can imagine that there is a lot of things to cover, but the series only lasts 7 chapters, so it may seem insufficient to include all the details of the story, perhaps perceiving itself a little rushed, but it really did not seem to me something of great relevance or that affected the story in a negative way.
Una de las cosas que más destaca de esta producción y sé que será la razón para que muchos se animen a verla, es su estética y apartado visual. La serie muestra partes de las ciudades de Brasil, hermosos bosques, playas y lugares con decoraciones atrayentes que serán un deleite para los ojos. La ambientación está muy bien lograda y es un gran apoyo para adentrarse en la historia.
Los efectos especiales considero que son decentes, tal vez no sean los mejores, pero a mí no me parecieron malos, cumplen con la función de mostrar las habilidades sobrenaturales de los personajes y de crear esos escenarios fuera de lo común. En ningún momento percibí que no encajaran o se vieran "chistosos", lo que es un punto a favor porque a veces los efectos especiales si pueden ser terribles...(cof cof Destino: la saga Winx con sus transformaciones, cof cof).
Esta serie hará que se enamoren de los seres místicos de Brasil. Mi personaje favorito de la serie fue "la cuca", una mujer misteriosa que tiene relación con los sueños y puede manejar las mariposas. En el folklore original es mucho más terrorífica y en la serie la embellecieron, aun así sirve para conocer a este particular ser.
One of the things that stands out the most about this production, and I know it will be the reason why many will be encouraged to watch it, is its aesthetics and visuals. The series shows parts of the cities of Brazil, beautiful forests, beaches and places with attractive decorations that will be a delight for the eyes. The setting is very well done and is a great support to get into the story.
I consider the special effects to be decent, maybe not the best, but I didn't think they were bad, they fulfill the function of showing the supernatural abilities of the characters and creating those "out of the ordinary" scenarios. At no time did I perceive that they didn't fit or looked "funny", which is a point in favor because sometimes special effects can be terrible...(cof cof cof Fate: the Winx saga with its transformations, cof cof cof).
This series will make you fall in love with the mystical beings of Brazil. My favorite character of the series was "la cuca", a mysterious woman who is related to dreams and can handle butterflies. In the original folklore she is much more terrifying and in the series they beautified her, even so it is useful to get to know this particular being.
