Okay music; absurd plot (purgatory for teenagers with a school which they still should attend even after death). Story predictably goes nowhere. Students team-up to fight and fight again (while organising music concerts) but nothing comes out of it -- after all they can not die but they can feel pain. What are they fighting for? Whom are they fighting? Is that another student or an "angel" (whatever that might be)? You'll never get a meaningful answer like if scriptwriters could not think of anything that would make much sense.

Many violent "deaths" that are actually game-like respawns.

    ENGLISH:

    Hello, Hive friends.

Today I want to bring you the first review of my "Anime Challenge" that I announced yesterday in this post.

It's about the anime Angel Beats! which I started yesterday when I posted the challenge announcement, since I'm trying to keep a posting streak that consists of doing a daily post for the whole month of December.

I don't want to make the post too long, because it gets tedious to read, so I'll start now with the review.

    Synopsis:

"Angel Beats!" takes place in a kind of school limbo for young people who have experienced trauma and challenges in their past lives. The protagonist, Otonashi, wakes up with no memories of his previous life and finds himself in the middle of a war between the students and a mysterious girl named Angel. The students, led by a charismatic girl named Yuri, believe that Angel is an enemy and fight against her to avoid disappearing and being "reincarnated".

    Yuzuru Otonashi. Source.

    Strengths:

    1. Complex and Memorable Characters: Each character has an emotionally powerful backstory that is revealed throughout the series. This adds depth and empathy to their actions and motivations.
    2. Powerful Soundtrack: The music, composed by Jun Maeda and the band Anant-Garde Eyes, is one of the highlights of the anime, with emotional songs that perfectly complement the dramatic and action moments.
    3. Balance of Comedy and Drama: "Angel Beats!" handles the balance between light comedic moments and touching dramatic scenes well, which keeps the viewer interested and emotionally involved.

    Yuri Nakamura. Source.

    Weaknesses:

    1. Quick Development: With only 13 episodes, some character arcs can feel rushed and some questions are left unanswered.
    2. Plot Complexity: The concept of school limbo and the rules governing it can be confusing at first, requiring attention to properly follow the plot.

    Kanade Tachibana. Source.

    Conclusion:

"Angel Beats!" is an anime that mixes action, comedy and drama well, presenting a unique and exciting story. Although it has its flaws in the pacing and development of some characters, its ability to touch on deep themes and its memorable soundtrack make it valuable for anime fans. It's a series that will make you laugh, cry and think about life and death. I highly recommend it.

    Puntos Fuertes:

  4. Angel beats: An emotional journey between heaven and hell@mig1872d

Hello friends of Hive, today I bring you an anime that, just like Clannad, managed to move me to tears. Maybe many of you have already heard or seen it, and I loved this anime because of the different stories of the characters that are presented to us throughout the plot. So, without further ado, let's get to the anime.

This anime begins with our protagonist, Otonashi, who finds himself disoriented and not knowing where he is. As he keeps walking, he arrives at a regular school where he meets several students. All this seems strange to our protagonist, until a girl named Yuri approaches him and explains that he is in a place between life and death, that is, something similar to limbo. In addition to this, Yuri reveals to him that everyone has a purpose, which is to find peace and pass on to the afterlife.

    https://64.media.tumblr.com/f9600df88ffd627f41a2eb8b689385fe/tumblr_ornor0b80s1wprks2o1_540.gif https://i.pinimg.com/originals/20/cf/27/20cf277a26fbceb27ec3480466c4a5b5.gif

Otonashi remembers nothing and does not know how he got there or how he died. Yuri teaches him that they must fight someone named Angel, who happens to be the president of the school's student council. Just as they are talking about Angel, she appears and Otonashi, bewildered by everything, begins to fight her. However, he is surprised by Angel's fighting skills, even thinking that she has superhuman powers. Faced with this great difference in powers, our protagonist is completely defeated.

    <img src="https://umaiyomu.files.wordpress.com/2021/08/angel-beats-45.jpg?w=640 https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/angelbeats/images/2/21/Ep01-otonashi_stabbed_by_tenshi.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1600?cb=20130504145531

After this, Otonashi meets with the other students and realizes that each of them has their own story of how they died and why they are there. As our protagonist interacts with the different characters, he realizes that the situation is not as simple as it seems. So he teams up with Yuri to confront Angel and find out why they are there and what this whole place is about.

The highlights of Angel Beats are its characters and the different stories that each one has. This manages to make us empathize with each of them, as the anime manages to develop their stories in a touching way. In addition, the anime has different aspects, at the beginning everything is more comical, but as it progresses, it becomes more serious, which keeps us hooked until the last chapter.

In my opinion, Angel Beats is an anime that grabs you little by little. It starts with comic moments to make you laugh and begin to feel affection for the characters, but then addresses much more serious issues, generating a feeling of empathy towards each of them. This leads us to reflect on various issues, such as our relationships with others and the purpose of life, among other things. When I watched this anime, I did not expect the background of each character to be so well developed. There is one in particular that really touched my heart, and if you watch it, you will understand which one I mean: the story of the baseball player and the character in a wheelchair, this means that we will have endearing characters thanks to the exciting stories that each one has, plus it is incredible how they achieved these in just 13 chapters. If you liked anime like Clannad, AnoHana, Little Busters and others of this style, you can't miss Angel Beats.

    https://64.media.tumblr.com/f9600df88ffd627f41a2eb8b689385fe/tumblr_ornor0b80s1wprks2o1_540.gif https://i.pinimg.com/originals/20/cf/27/20cf277a26fbceb27ec3480466c4a5b5.gif

    <img src="https://umaiyomu.files.wordpress.com/2021/08/angel-beats-45.jpg?w=640 https://static.wikia.nocookie.net/angelbeats/images/2/21/Ep01-otonashi_stabbed_by_tenshi.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/1600?cb=20130504145531

    https://i.gifer.com/FOH1.gif https://24.media.tumblr.com/2d517440160cb1d11527a5e978775f09/tumblr_mrcnqaPs4P1rr5vcmo1_500.gif

Hello illustrious young people, whether for fashion or curiosity, it is true that the anime loving community has grown and is much better accepted, so there are many people online asking for anime recommendations, some are bad people and recommend Boku no pico (Don't do that kids, it's not cool (︶︿︶)), and others recommend great works, but they don't satisfy tastes, so it's difficult to make others' interest grow (you know, tastes break genres ( ̄︶ ̄)), so, thinking of an anime that meets high expectations, we will talk about the phenomenon of Angel Beats !.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

    RECAPITULEMOS/LET'S RECAP….

Who would accept such an absurd death? I will not accept it, I will not accept such an irrational god, in the world in which we used to live, death came to us in the orange blossom and without discrimination, we had no means to resist it, But here things are different, as long as we do not approach the angel, we can continue to exist, we can defy death, that is the reason why I created the War Front, my name is Yuri, welcome to my most precious treasure.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

    EN MI OPINIÓN/IN MY OPINION…

Angel Beast!

Angel Beats! It is an anime that I recommend as a first approach to anime, there are several reasons for it, and we are going to break them down little by little.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

Starting with its soundtrack, although it does not have a large number of themes, it has some very interesting variations that are perfect as a soundtrack, it supports immersion in the story a lot, it is very well chosen, and it has a lot of personality, it is of those soundtracks that you will not forget, of those that, when you listen to them immediately you will channel it with its anime, if we talk about its opening and ending, they are very beautiful in terms of lyrics, and the combination of tones makes it stand out, also that as a whole, the soundtrack is very well adapted to the scenes, something really nice from my perspective, in addition to the fact that the seiyus chosen for each character made it excellent.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

Continuing with its animation, we can see classic animation, certainly there is CGI, but it is minimal and almost imperceptible, it has a very aesthetic design, with bright lighting and a very varied color palette, it plays a lot with the atmosphere, so it constantly changes, what which makes the animation not loaded by the detail, in my opinion, PA Works established itself in quality for its action sequences in Angel Beats !, They are so well cared for and have so much detail, that they were not afraid to make focuses for certain shots, in addition to the speed of each scene is just what the story needs, a very clean job with incredible designs, not only in the characters, in the weapons and in the scenarios, I dare say that this is how an action anime should be treated, if there is something I could complain about, it is in the I manage the lights, but if we consider that that helps the setting, it still fits, it's just my personal taste.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

Now, the strong point of this series in my opinion, in short, are its characters, in my opinion, to consider that a character is well built, it is the ability to arouse some emotion towards him, I do not know if I explain myself, If you see a character in a series and you remember him for something specific, either because you empathized with him, or that he made you laugh a lot, or that he made you hate him only for the purpose he has and the role he plays in the story, then It is well done, but do not be confused, it is not enough that the character is only a well done character, the point is that by having angel beats! a relatively significant amount of characters for its short duration, each one has a unique structure, so even the secondary ones are incredible, I would even have loved to know the story of many of them, such as TK, I adore the guy and I don't know knows almost nothing about him, that in a matter of secondary, the main ones are even better, they became endearing.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

We turn to your story, I will not make spoilers because this series does not need them, Angel Beats! It is an anime that has a complex base, this is raised from the beginning, now, why do I say that its base is complex?, because it tells you about boys who came to this world after dying, where the flow of time is different , they are lost resisting to disappear, since when disappearing it is not known what could happen, they talk to you about adolescents resisting God and the destinies for which they are in the afterlife, they talk to you about life and death with concepts that we know but that we cannot explain since each one sees it differently, that is why its complexity, among the really main characters, some will empathize with Kanade, others will see Yuri with reason, others will empathize with Otonashi and others from the eyes of Hinata, Yui o Iwasawa, being able to open this discussion shows that it has a very well thought out plot and a very special theme.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

All its complexity in a more thoughtful analysis, is lightened a lot because we are talking about unsupervised teenagers, this anime can seem very loaded, since if you think about it carefully it is a very dark anime in a matter of history, but it is lightened by its use of comedy, if you do not like tsukomi, I assure you that you will still laugh a lot with this anime, since it not only makes the type of Japanese comedy, it embeds comedy directly with the situations of animation, something more used in comedy of this side of the pond, and they place it right where it should go and at the right time, for all this, you devour the chapters.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

    TERMINANDO/ENDING…

Angel Beats! She did everything right, but why do I recommend her to start watching anime? Because she has a bit of everything, she has epic battles, emotional moments, blood, death, destruction, this touch of saying life is beautiful, music, romance, friendship and weapons, as well as it depresses you and makes you cry, lifts your spirits and gives you different perspectives, it is a fantasy work, but that enters the field of school, transmits everything, it is an anime that covers a lot for introduce someone to the various genres within anime.

    ANGEL BEATS ( P.A. Works 2010)

Well my jackals, if you are over 15 years old, it is a 100% recommended anime, which overflows quality in only 12 episodes, and just like me, I hope you enjoy it a lot, I am darkmidnight and I say goodbye, but not before wishing you that they are very good and have a better time.

  6. Angel Beats! - A Story After Death / Una Historia Después De La Muerte@kuronokenshi2080d

    image.png screenshot of my monitor

After watching Angel Beats I learned two things: no matter how much they tell you that the story is tragic from the first chapter you will still be sad and secondly any series created by Jun Maeda will make you cry. Angel Beats is a fairly short dramatic comedy series because it has only 13 episodes, but it has such a special story that this alone is enough to make you remember it for a long time and be very fond of this anime. I will summarize in the best way what this anime is about by making the least amount of spoilers so as not to ruin the experience for anyone who has not seen it yet so that they can enjoy it to the fullest and cry with its story.

    image.png screenshot of my monitor

As soon as we start this anime they leave us very clear a point, all the characters are dead and they are in a kind of limbo. The anime is a group of young people who after dying wake up in an academic institute which serves as a transition between his death and the next stage, resurrection or advance to heaven what you believe. The reason why they are all in the institute is because for one reason or another they are not happy with the life they had and their premature death, so they have some resentment about it. Our group is made up of several protagonists that form a kind of school club that is always changing its name but for some reason must always have the word "Front" in the name, front of the underworld, demonic front etc.

    image.png screenshot of my monitor

You could say that the three main characters are Otonashi the last young man to arrive at the institute and who has amnesia about his life and death, Yuri who is the leader of the group and who decides the missions and objectives to be carried out, and the unique and adorable Kanade who from the first moment Yuri says that she is an Angel and is the enemy of all of them. Throughout the story we will be presented with the life story and cause of death of various characters as well as the reason for their disagreement with their death which can be very sad especially with the story of Yui and Iwasawa. We will also have episodes full of good moments of comedy and the adventures of young people as well as take advantage of the fact that they can not die to make very funny scenes when they fight each other and even die on missions to wake up later as if nothing. This anime combines very well both elements Drama and Comedy.

An interesting element is the fact that the school is completely full of students and teachers fulfilling all the activities of a normal one and Yuri indicates that they are beings destined to fulfill such tasks over and over again without any object, they describe them as NPC characters of a video game. Another interesting aspect is that it shows us that in this limbo things and objects can be created in a very special way, if you know how it works and build something is a katana or a gun can be done even only with dirt or mud, our group is provided with weapons and mechanical equipment and characters who knew weapons such things before dying. By the end of the anime we are revealed the purpose of this kind of Limbo and we are told the story of the first person who came to it and the things he did because of them our protagonists face a series of difficulties. This ends up being a very entertaining and recommended anime, which knows how to take the comedy scenes for fun and can change from one moment to another to a quite dramatic and sad scene.

    image.png screenshot of my monitor

As a curious fact in this anime there is a rock band called Girls Dead Monster made up of pure girls of which two are Yui and Iwasawa, because Jun Maeda is a musician the band actually has a good list of songs recorded as a real band and to be honest are pretty good all the songs. This can be expected when you are a writer is a real musician so the soundtrack of this anime is fantastic, I recommend you look for the songs and listen to them because they are like 19 different.

    image.png screenshot of my monitor

    image.png screenshot of my monitor

    image.png screenshot of my monitor

    image.png screenshot of my monitor

Can you believe I couldn't think of anything to write to you today? I had several days looking for something to share with you, and thinking about the animes I had already seen and could talk about, but with these I happened to talk about many in the past, or I knew someone who had already talked about these. The most impressive thing is that while I write about them, many names come to me from many series that I also saw and of which I have never spoken to you.

Created by Seiji Kishi and produced by P.A. Works and Aniplex (the same from Clannad), it was released in 2010 and has only 13 chapters of 24 minutes each, so we can watch it peacefully in an afternoon when we have nothing to do.

    IMG_20201011_125533.png

It is the story of Otonashi, a boy who arrives at a strange school where everything seems normal but it is not, because this school serves as a limbo between the world of the living and the dead and where there are only teenagers who suffered trauma at the time of his death. There he meets Yuri, a girl who invites him to join the World of the Dead Battalion (or the SSS), who have been formed to fight against God, because they are considered guilty of their tragic lives before dying, it is worth saying that these guys are armed to the teeth.

Those of the SSS fight mainly against Kanade, who is at the head of the school with the highest position: President of the Student Council and also nicknamed Tenshin, since she is considered a subordinate Angel of God, she also has the property of turning her arms into terrible swords with which she fights against the SSS.

IMG_20201011_125533.png

Gradually, Tenshin begins to relate to Otonashi, who the only thing she remembers from her past life is her last name, forgetting how and why she died. It is incredible how great the whole story is, the amnesia in which the panorama for Otonashi becomes clearer and how, as he remembers his life, he realizes that he has deep ties to students who are in the school.

    IMG_20201011_125533.png

Another impressive thing of the series is the music, Beats are the beats of the heart, and also in the music 1 Beat marks the rhythm in the electronic music, so through the Band of the school Girls Dead Monsters, we can appreciate the brilliant music created for the Anime.

  9. Arturelia Review: Angel Beats!@arturelia2703d

This is my first anime review. Note: I'm dyslexic and I often mess up on words or have trouble expressing myself, so you'll probably notice that I mispronounced things (like Kanade and Angel Beats). I didn't realize until after I'd done the review that I'd messed up on that. Sorry for any confusion. :-p Angel Beats is available here http://amzn.to/2kR7mHP

    My Anime Rating System:

    1/10 Don't watch this anime

2/10 Awful, I wouldn't even bother wasting my time watching this anime

3/10 Bad, not a good anime, it's really bad

4/10 Not good at all, I would rather see something better

5/10 Meh, it bored me after watching it through the begining to end

6/10 Okay, it wasn't the best, but had some good ideas in there.

7/10 Good, it's a good show. (However, most of the time, a 7 can either be that I thought it was a good show, and had good elements, but it's not something I'll come back to again, depending on what the show is, or how it went. Most of the time, it will be a show that I'll watch once)

8/10 Great, it's a great show with alot of stuff in it that will make you continue to watch it, even if it has some issues in story or plot, it's still worth watching, even if there's no flaws, just depends on what it is

9/10 Awesome, it's really awesome, so much epicness in this anime

10/10 Excelente, 100%, watch this anime, you will love it

Bonus Rating System - If an anime is Good and Great, at the same time (or at least getting up there) 7.5/10 and so on. It can also be a boost of how much I liked this anime and because it's really good or brilliant. Not to mention, the F***Up rating for an anime that is like....Wha?

    ORIGINAL MY ASS

Angel Beats is considered to be an original work, in the sense that it’s not an adaptation of some light novel, or porn game. Though if you take the word at face value there is absolutely nothing original about it, since it plays out exactly like a light novel or porn game. The opening video has all the characters posing at you with their names attached on them, and they are colored with gradient filters. Accompanied by all the done to death stereotypes that have killed creativity in anime; teenager-only cast, Japanese high school as a setting, and of course watering down everything with romcom shenanigans.

    FIDLY PREMISE

The premise sounds cool and fresh at first, until you realize how awfully handled it is, and you figure out Haibane Renmei did it ten times better, a decade ago, with a fraction of the budget. The show is also not focused on something specific and constantly moves from one theme to another, usually by jumping genres in the process, and having little to no sense of continuity. First it’s about fighting God, then it’s about a music festival, then it’s about baseball, then it’s about dramatic flashbacks, then it’s about a monster invasion.

    NON-SENSICAL SETTING

If that was not enough, the setting makes no sense at all. Aside from how we never got any explanation regarding how it was created, or why it looks like a high school of all things. I understand the meta-logic being a school, since this is the laziest and easiest setting you can create, that has the maximum appeal in the target audience, but in-series it makes no sense to look the way it does. And no, it’s not like only teenagers go that place. Hell, it doesn’t even have some sort of logic in the way it works. Someone can go there years after he died, while someone else goes right away. You are not supposed to remember anything after you leave, and yet here we are people knowing each other after they left.

    RUSHED PLOT

Most of these issues are a result of the show being allowed to have only half the episodes it deserved, thus being forced to rush through the events. This, though, is not excusing the faults in the least. What kind of emotional impact can there possibly be, if one moment they are making jokes, and the immediate next tragedy drops from the sky and crashes them. One day someone disappears, the next day they go make fun at each other like it didn’t matter at all. Mystery exposition happens in long monologues, development is mostly flashbacks, most of the characters are left undeveloped (which is extra funny when some of them even have their names showing in the opening), and battles get resolved in seconds. But jokes? Nope, those can last for entire episodes. That alone shows how much Maeda cared about the actual story; doesn’t it? Yup, I only have half the time to show everything; let’s waste most of it on jokes.

    LACK OF GRAVITY

Even if one disregards the pacing issues, the world of the series lacks substance and gravity. Death has no meaning, most people are automatons, causing damage to facilities has no point, you can create guns out of dirt, there is brainwashing for some reason, and all you are doing in that world is studying eternally for exams in a fictional school that offers you nothing. If this place exists to give dead people a chance to live the lives they never had, it sure does not do a good job.

    PRETTY COLORS & NICE SOUNDS

Not that anyone seems to care about originality or proper storytelling regarding this anime. After all, anime are just dumb entertainment for little children, right? It is considered a masterpiece of dramedy by several thousands, the reasons being mostly excused by the pretty colors, and the nice sounds. It’s really funny to see so many people feeling emotional over such terribly rushed and uninspired presentation. Anime standards are REALLY low. You can’t even enjoy the generic as fart artstyle, including some of the most uninspired character designs you can imagine. If their names weren’t showing in the intro of every episode, you would constantly be mistaking them for characters from other shows.

    NO IDENTITY

P.A Works in general, lacks a visual identity, to the point you are constantly confusing who exactly animated their shows. I mean, it looks moe, it has a Suzumiya Haruhi clone, a school band festival, and is directed by Jun Maeda, famous for his handling of Visual Key adaptations. Of course and you would think this anime is made by Kyoto Animation. And yet it isn’t; it’s just a by-the-numbers rehash of stuff, others are making for over a decade, traced over with no passion for visual identity, making it dull despite its fidelity in backgrounds and attention to detail. They can make the characters as moe as they like, and they would still be vanilla ice cream. They can throw in as many Easter eggs from other shows as they like (there are references to Resident Evil in episode 2, Howl’s Moving Castle in 3, and Matrix Reload in 12) and they are still not adding anything to the actual show. Other than making it feel even more derivative, and still inferior to everything it plagiarizes.

    FLAT CAST

Even if we look past bad pacing and uninspired artwork, the characters are still pretty flat and uninteresting. Oh, sure, you will find tens of thousands yelling how much they cried, but it’s not because of the characters. It’s because of the tragic things that happened TO the characters… in flashbacks… while sad music is playing in the background. What I mean by that is that there is no investment to who they are or what they do. It’s just slapstick humor, based on done to death anime clichés, followed by sad stuff that happened in the past, and dealing with them by simply talking. That’s it. (Angel) Beats me why this superficial form of character exposition is so successful. It probably has to do with anime being notorious for spending a hundred episodes for the most obvious exposition to come along and thus this series creates a huge contrast that hits you with a 2 ton hammer. It is sudden and has such a high shock value on you that (Angel) beats the alternative. I still find it terribly rushed and cheap.

    DULL MAIN CHARACTERS

The main characters are boring archetypes, snatched from typical date simulations, defined by quirks and clothe accessories, like ribbons in their hair, or the color of their stockings. Well done Kyoani… err, I mean P.A. Works. Your labor is a breath of fresh Air-tv , by following the established Kanon to the letter. You may as well do a Clan Add so the tribe will thrive.

Yurippe gets a fair amount of attention and development, as she keeps learning about the world around her. But it’s not like nobody could take her place when it came to exploring the setting. She was the leader of that SOS Brigade knock-off, she already had a lot of things to do. Allowing one of the secondary characters to assume that role would be preferable, leaving her doing the Haruhi imitations she is so obviously invented for.

Otonashi moves the plot forward and has a very strong presence. He is the self-insert generic high school teenager we have seen a million times already, with the amnesia routine we have seen a billion times more serving as the lazy excuse for why the conflict with Angel is not dealt with in 3 minutes. Whatever he does seems to drive the plot forward, but only because he is the proxy of the viewer and thus nothing but a problem solver, with nothing going on about him.

And then there is also Kanade the Angel. Starts as an average Rei-clone, but after her past is revealed becomes far more fleshed out. This still does not excuse how she never recognizes Otonashi or any of the other students she is fighting every night, because if she did the show would be over in 3 minutes.

    UNSUPPORTED SUPPORT CHARACTERS

The rest are secondary characters that we learn close to nothing about. I ended up using nicknames when I was mentioning them to someone else, like, the hypno-guy, the karate-dude, and the ninja-girl. The only one I ended up caring for, was a side character named TK, and only because he was dancing and singing in English. One could of course argue that it was never about all the characters and only about 3 or 4, leaving the rest as minor support. But when said minor support takes up a lot of screen time from a show with such nasty time restrictions, then it ends up damaging the whole.

    FINAL THOUGHTS

Like most titles of its era, Angel Beats tries to cater all tastes by combining the serious with the silly, the humorous with the dramatic, and the cute with the gory. It is a high budget pop-corn work that rehashes other scenarios, like what the Avatar film did with Pocahontas . It is just another easily digestible piece of fiction, poorly made and aimed as fast food. This is not a bad thing if done right, as we live in an era where a series which tries to focus too much on only one genre, ends up being ignored by everyone who is not a fan of said genre. In turn, that translates to low sales, cancellation of further projects, firing staff and making people jump off windows to their untimely deaths. So the anime producers threw in as much as they could and tried to cater as many different tastes as possible. They even went mostly for laughs, as we indeed live in cynical times and trying to pull a successful serious series is as easy as writing a light novel that is not about beta males porking their sisters. But by doing that, instead of a full course dinner, we end up with a soup where all flavors are thrown in the blender and the end result is this gross pulp with a boring taste that drives you to the nearest sink. Angel Beats is what you vomit.
