One of the action flicks I enjoyed and could watch repeatedly was the Fallen installment told by Creighton Rothenberger. I was already hooked by the first installment which was Olympus Has Fallen(2013) and London Has Fallen(2016) didn’t disappoint. Still, I have a lot of reason to believe that Angel Has Fallen(2019), the third and final film in the Fallen installment, was the best in the trilogy, or my second best after Olympus Has Fallen. I re-watched it recently for what might be the third time and had a good time while at it, even though I could practically utter the lines before they were said.

What happens when the hero becomes the fugitive? Agent Mike Banning(Gerard Butler) has become the Secret Service Director for the United States. While on a private fishing trip with the former Vice President now President Alan Trumbull(Morgan Freeman), they are attacked by drones that kill the President’s detail and leave no survivors apart from Agent Banning who manages to rescue the President, even though both of them end up incapacitated.
Falsified evidence is presented implicating Banning and portraying him as the perpetrator behind Trumbull’s assassination, and this leads to Banning’s arrest. On the way to the detention facility, however, events occur that lead to Banning’s freedom and set him on the run as a man wanted by the government. What he realizes however on the run, is that the evil doers are not only afoot but right there with the President who is still comatose. What Trumbull himself discovers is that Banning alone can protect him. Can the fallen angel and fugitive of the law regain his status again?
One of the things that drew me the most to this last movie in the Fallen trilogy was the decision to make Banning more humane, instead of the indestructible, unfeeling man he was portrayed in the previous two installments. It made him more endearing as a character and made him a lot more relatable to me. Not the whole macho man, superhero business. Not like he didn’t embody those roles perfectly, but this felt a lot more real.
In terms of pacing and tension, it was right up there with the rest. Even though it started a tad slow, it soon enough skyrocketed to becoming a thrill ride with nonstop action. Mike Banning delivered as always. Honestly, when it comes to soulful action, that man never disappoints. Morgan Freeman did not do too much, but Morgan Freeman in himself is enough to get a movie going and that was done to perfection. I also enjoyed the performance of Danny Huston who did a good job starring as Wade Jennings.
It also portrayed dirty politics at its finest, which unless you’re fully in the establishment, you may never fully know how dirty it could get. So, we only get a taste of that but even then, it seems enough to get the movie going. The antagonists were not the hysterical villains that a lot of movies portray. Just carrying out their evil quietly which, by the way, is what happens as the true villains are never ones to be drawn to hysterics and all the drama.
It’s not an unpredictable movie. I immediately knew who the bad guy was the moment I saw him. No rocket science there. But it was a good film regardless. So yeah, a lot of predictable moves for anyone who has watched action flicks severally, but its shine wasn’t dulled, making it more or less a befitting end to this franchise. Being charged with the attempted assassination of the president of the United States of America while protecting this important man is ironic and very scary. Mike Banning (played by Gerard Butler) finds himself in this impossible mess in the third film of the Has Fallen series, Angel Has Fallen (2019).
The first and second films in this series are impressive, enjoyable but the third instalment is slightly different. In the previous films, the president’s life is on line as he faces assassination attempts and Mike Banning, a top Secret Service agent, employs all kinds of tactics to save and protect the president. Yet again in this film, there's another assassination attempt on the president and Mike Banning is arrested as the culprit! The celebrated hero quickly becomes the fugitive on the run to save his life and that of the president as well.

Mike Banning is the most senior member of the Secret Service, leader of the president's security details and in this instalment, Allan Trumbull (played by Morgan Freeman) is the president. Mike's health is deteriorating as he suffers from insomnia, dizziness and other health issues as a result of injuries sustained over time. He moves from doctor to doctor and pops pills into his mouth like candy. His loyalty to POTUS is still unwavering so the president assures him of the desk job of Director of Secret Service, if he wants it.
The president is facing attacks from the people and press on his supposed plan to bring in private contractors to fight wars. While on a fishing trip surrounded by his security detail, drones are released targeting and killing the men except for Banning who saves the president's life. When Banning wakes up in the hospital, he's cuffed to the bed and FBI agent Helen Thompson (played by Jada Pinkett Smith) reveals that he's being held for the assassination attempt. It's shocking and Banning is disoriented, realising someone will not stop the attempts until the president is dead. Who is after POTUS and how will Banning get out of the cuffs to save him?
Just like the previous films, Ric Roman Waugh, the director of this film takes the audience on a wild, fast-paced and action-packed race. It's not only about the president anymore, the attention is also on his lead security man, Mike Banning. The direction this plot takes is a little surprising but the storytelling leaves a sour taste. Having seen the previous films, I wondered what the third film would be about. I certainly didn't expect that Banning would be the focus.
The bait set to ensnare Banning is astonishing and well coordinated such that if this isn't fiction, the evidence will be damning and enough to send Banning to imprisonment for life. But from the start, I already figured out the villain, what they were up to and where they were headed. When this happens, it means the movie is predictable and kind of average for me. Or perhaps because I'd seen the first and second films in the series and they all followed a similar pattern. A not-too-predictable plot would have been great. Also, the plot weighs more on the emotional. We see Banning's past colliding with what his future will look like.
All the same, it's nice to see the return of Morgan Freeman as the president and the inclusion of Jada Pinkett Smith and Lance Reddick to the cast. Jada's role isn't impressive in my opinion and her acting is meh. Lance Reddick as always did great and commanded attention as outgoing director of Secret Service.
The visuals, editing and sound are good but not great. Some parts are shaky like the bomb scene featuring Banning's dad and the mercenaries. I had to focus really hard to grasp the scenario.
Overall, this film is good but not as captivating and compelling as the previous two. If I could figure out the entire film from the first scene, then it's not impressive. Perhaps the angel has fallen. I'll give it 3 stars out of 5.

Today I watched a Hollywood movie that is full of twists like my favorite type of action thriller. After watching the movie, today I feel like sharing my opinion about this movie with my friends.
Guys at the beginning of the movie some soldiers are shown shooting among themselves, and they seem to be on a mission, all of them are soldiers, I couldn't understand what was going on, but after a while, it was seen that it was their practice session, I realized that they all fight for the country. The soldiers of the country were practicing among themselves. And those who will get good results in this practice will work as the security of the highest level of the country, that is, the president of the country. Here Jenny has done the best work. She is the hero of this movie.
Hero entry was great in this movie, the kind of action shown at the beginning of the movie, any movie lover will love it because it was so awesome guys, if you don't watch the movie, you won't understand what the director has done the opening very well and the songs shown here maybe from Soldier. This is how they fight with enemies or when they themselves practice it seems like they practice. However, the more I appreciate the strength of the director and choreographer or the way they have developed together from above, the less it will seem.
The story of this movie is very high quality because here the story is arranged about the statesman and his security which is why the movie unfolds so beautifully when you watch the movie you have to blink your eyes from the beginning to the end because this movie is full of twists and turns that you will not understand if you don't watch the Japanese movie. Can't. This part of the movie shows some action scenes which are really commendable like the attack on the president, this attack may be the abuse of technology or will happen over the course of time, and how to survive it is also shown in this movie where the group is formed among themselves to survive. There is one on the side of injustice but all of them are soldiers.
The kind of song fight here will really catch your eye because from the beginning to the end there is a juicy mix between the story as a tourist as it is, the hero presents some action here which is really commendable like here he is called a traitor because he is portrayed that way. From the villain team and so beautifully put him in danger where the truth is very difficult but to prove himself the hero does a lot of things here which are really commendable and the director has been careful not to feel in any way where this thing has been exaggerated. I like it very much.
And it became very difficult to understand what will happen after the middle part of the movie, the main event of the movie comes to the fore after watching the last part of the movie until you can not understand in which direction the movie is going and who is the main villain here.
Friends, those of you who have seen this movie may agree with me and for those of you who haven't seen this movie, I can guarantee you that it will be the best movie for those who love action movies and will not waste your time in any way. Because I think this movie is amazing

I have always been curious about movies like Angel Has Fallen, as I have always wondered if the president's security service is really like that or if there really is a presidential security corps such as the one Mike Banning belongs to, also if somehow the president of the USA has been attacked in the way this movie saga shows it. But outside of fiction, it seems to me that all these movies show only part of the truth, since the events in the U.S. capitol tell a different story about the presidential protection service.
But be that as it may, these types of movies continue to intrigue and attract people, since with every movie they make, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen and Angel Has Fallen, they have all grossed millions at the box office. That's why I want to review this saga starting from Angel Has Fallen to the first movie.
Angel has fallen is an action movie directed by Ric Roman Waugh, which stars Gerard Butler as the main protagonist, and also features outstanding performances by Morgan Freeman, Jada Pinkett Smith and Danny Huston. It was released in theaters in August 2019 and the truth, like his previous films, was a box office success.
In this third installment of Mike banning has fallen tells the same story as always, a threat wants to kill the president, but this time it is a threat at home, in fact it is very close to the president, who also has trouble with the press for the hiring of mercenaries by the U.S. government for the wars, plus Mike banning faces the common pains for so many years of coups and fights against terrorists.
The story unfolds when the president, due to alleged leaks in the cabinet, decides to cancel the mercenary contract project, which leads the vice president to hatch a plan to assassinate the president so he can give orders to sign the contracts to wage war with countries that were going to incriminate and thus benefit from the money that was involved.
So when the president is on a fishing trip, hundreds of explosive drones keep all the agents guarding him except Mike Banning, which was planned to frame him. Now Banning is in a race to protect the president and clear his name of the lies told by the traitors.
But unlike the previous films where Banning acted alone to rescue the president, this time he has the help of his own father, a man with post-traumatic stress disorder who abandoned Banning when he was a child. On top of all these missions, he must protect his own family who are also at risk, and deal with the pain of previous battles.
What I liked the most.
Obviously what attracted me the most in this movie was the constant action, since not even 5 minutes can go by without a shot or someone dying. They really knew how to give this movie high marks. Also very touching is the story of Bannig's father and how he had to move away from his family because of post-traumatic stress disorder, a syndrome that many soldiers suffer from after returning from the battlefields, which in short, changes their mood and makes them be on constant alert, leading to paranoia.
Also, the drone technology used to kill the president with the agents in the lake while fishing, is extremely amazing and in fact similar technological advances are currently being made in the war field, so this movie sticks to reality in that aspect.
What I didn't like
I would say it was the clear lack of realism obvious in 80% of the movie, because as in the previous installments, while all the agents who have the same training as banning, die as if they were rag dolls. But Mike Banning manages with a simple glock to kill all the terrorists. In addition, it seems that the decisions made by the characters do not follow a clear logic.
For example, when the FBI is investigating the company hired by the vice president to kill the president, and they manage to find those responsible for the presidential attack, knowing that they are highly dangerous and trained assassins, they do not arrive with a tactical team to ensure that they do not escape. And when the attack on the president occurs, and they see evidence that are obvious incriminations against Banning, instead of investigating thoroughly, they only arrest him to judge him later. And when the movie is almost over, and wade wants to finish the job of killing the president, trained swat and fbi tactical team and also presidential protection team are killed just like that.
Sure, obviously I know this is a fictional movie and it's all for entertainment, but as I said in my previous review of World War Z. I like movies that stick to reality at least 50%. I like more movies that stick to reality at least 50%. But it's still an incredible saga. Lionsgate, the company that released angel has fallen, announced that seeing the box office success of the whole saga, they have planned or are developing sequels and TV spin-offs. Which the fans liked a lot.
I think they should explore other themes than just protecting the president from threats, because watching another movie like this would be boring, because it is the same theme, I think they should include something more to continue to keep the audience, they should evolve the plot as did Mission Impossible, which have more than 7 movies and still remains exciting.
Personally I'm not a fan of this movie, but if you want to spend some time of entertainment, action and adrenaline I recommend you to watch Angel Has Fallen. My rating for this movie is 7/10.

Siempre he sentido curiosidad por las peliculas como Angel Has Fallen, ya que siempre he pensado si realmente el servicio de seguridad del presidente es asi o si realmente hay un cuerpo de seguridad presidencial tal como al que Mike Banning pertenece, tambien si de alguna manera han atacado al presidente de los EE.UU de la manera en como lo muestra esta saga de peliculas. Pero fuera de la ficcion, me parece que todas estas peliculas muestran solo parte de la verdad, ya que los acontecimientos ocurridos en el capitolio de los EE:UU dicen otra cosa sobre el servicio de proteccion presidencial.
Pero sea como sea, este tipo de peliculas siguen intrigando y atrayendo a la gente, ya que con cada pelicula que hacen, Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen y Angel Has Fallen, todas han recaudado sumas millonarias en taquilla. Por eso quiero hacerle un review a esta saga comenzando desde Angel has fallen hasta la primera pelicula.

Fue estrenada en cines en agosto del 2019 y la verdad, como sus anteriores peliculas, fue un exito en taquillas.
En esta tercera entrega de Mike banning has fallen cuenta la misma historia de siempre, Una amenaza quiere matar al presidente, pero en esta ocacion es una amenza en casa, de hecho esta my cerca del presidente, quien tambien tiene aprietos con la prensa por las contrataciones de mercenarios por parte del gobierno de los estados unidos para las guerras, ademas Mike banning se enfrenta a los dolores comunes por tanto años de golpes y luchas contra los terroristas.
La historia se va desarrollando cuando el presidente por supuestas fugas en el gabinete, decide cancelar el proyecto de contratos a mercenarios, lo que lleva al vicepresidente a tramar un plan para asesinar al presidente y asi poder dar ordenes para firmar los crontratos para hacer guerras con paises que iban a incriminar y asi beneficiarse del dinero que habia de por medio.
Asi que cuando el pesidente esta en una salida de pesca, cientos de drones explosivos mantan a todos los agentes que lo cuidan menos a mike banning, que fue planificado asi para incriminarlo. Ahora Banning esta en una carrera para proteger al presidente y limpiar su nombre de las mentiras dichas por los traidores.
Pero diferencia de las peliculas anteriores donde banning actuaba solo para rescatar al presidente, en esta ocacion cuenta con la ayuda de su propio padre, un hombre con estres postraumatico que abandono a banning cuando era pequeño. Y ademas de todas estas misiones debe proteger a su propia familia que tambien esta en riesgo, y lidiar con sus dolores de batallas anteriores.
Lo que mas me gusto
Obiamente lo que mas me atrajo de esta pelicula fue la accion constante, ya que no pueden pasar ni 5 minutos sn que haya algun disparo o que muera alguien. Realmente al hacer esta pelicula supieron darle notas altas. Ademas es muy conmovedora la historia del padre de bannig y de como por haber servido a la nacion tuvo que alejarce de su familia debido al estres postraumatico, un sindrome que sifren muchos soldados luego de volver de los campos de batalla, que en pocas palabras, cambia su estado de animo y los hace estar en constante alerta, lo que lleva a la paranoia.
Ademas, la tecnologia de drones usada para matar al presidente con los agentes en el lago mientras pesca, es sumamente asombrosa y de hecho actualmente se estan haciendo avances tecnologicos similares en el campo belico, asi que esta pelicula se apega a la realidad en ese aspecto.
Lo que no me gusto
Yo diria que Fue la clara falta de realismo obio en el 80% de la pelicula, ya que al igual que en las entregas anteriores, mientras todos los agentes que tienen el mismo entrenamiento que banning, mueren como si fueran muñecos de trapo. Pero mike banning Logra con una simple glock acabar con todos los terroristas. Ademas parecen que las decisiones que toman los personajes no van con la logica clara.
Por ejemplo, cuando el FBI esta investgando a la empresa contratada por el vicepresidente para matar al presidente, y logran dar contra los responsables del atentado presidencial, sabiendo que son asesinos sumamente peligrosos y entrenados, no llegan con un equipo tactico para asegurarse de que no escapen. y Cuando ocurre el atentado con el presidente, y ven pruebas que son incriminaciones obias contra banning, en vez de investigar a fondo solo lo arrestan para lluego juzgarlo. Y cuando casi acaba la pelicula, y wade quiere terminar el trabajo de matar al presidente, equipo tactico entrenado del swat y el fBI y tambien equipo de proteccion presidencial, son asesinados como si nada.
Claro, obiamente se que esto es una pelicula de ficcion y que tdo es para entrenimiento, pero como dije en mi reseña enterior de guerra mundial Z. Me gustan mas las peliculas que se apegan a la realidad al menos en un 50%. Pero aun asi no deja de ser una saga increible. Lionsgate, la compañia que lanzo angel has fallen, anuncio que al ver el exito en taquilla que toda la saga, tienen planificado o estan en desarrollo de secuelas y spin-offs de televisión. Lo cual a los fans agrado mucho.
Pienso que deben explorar otros temas que no solo sea proteger al presidente de amenazas, ya que ver orta pelicula como esta seria algo aburrido, porque es el mismo tema, pienso que deben incluir algo mas para seguir manteniendo a la audiencia, deben evolucionar la trama asi como lo hizo Mision imposible, que llevan mas de 7 peliculas y aun sigue siendo emocionantes.
Personalmente no soy fan de esta pelicula, pero si quieres pasar un rato de entrenimiento, accion y adrenalina te recomiendo ver Angel Has Fallen. Mi puntuacion para esta pelicula es de 7/10.

It has been a while since I wrote a movie review, but now I thought it was time again. Not only because it is time, but because I got inspired to try the @steempeak platform again after reading a recent article from @namiks on the matter (why he has left Steemit and decided to use Steempeak instead). But, I decided to give Steempeak a try again, and what better way than by sharing my most recent cinema experience (and the only one I have had in the last half a year) with you all!

About Angel Has Fallen
Angel Has Fallen is the movie number three portraying Gerard Butler in his role as Mike Banning, an agent who has the task of taking care of the American President. In the fire movie he didn't really have the task, but as a super agent who took the task, even though the President held a major grudge against him. The second movie took us to London, and now the third movie is here, called Angel Has Fallen.
These movies are not fantastic productions in any way, but for those who love an action movie with a super person able to fix any problem, shot a lot of bad guys, and save the president, this is great action. But, I should warn you about the third movie, you have seen it before!
Angel Has Fallen is about an attack on the American President which leaves him in a coma, and everyone else is dead, except for Mike Banning. And when someone tries to blame him for what has happened (by planting a lot of evidence), he is taken captive and it really seems as if the good angel has fallen. Have you heard the story before? Does it remind you of Taken 3, or any other movie with the same plot? This is exactly like that, and the movie is just giving you what you would expect. Mike Banning manages to escape while in custody and now he has to prove his innocence and save the President from future attacks while staying off the radar.
Need I say more? I have got to say, the movie isn't great, but I had an awesome time watching it. The nachos and the salsa was fantastic, and I am actually able to enjoy such movies, even though I do know the story and can foretell every single event before they happen. The biggest surprise and the coolest in the movie is actually the entrance and the character of Mike Banning's father. He was just awesome, he was funny, and he came with some real fresh air to the movie.
My Angel has Fallen judgment
If you are picky when it comes to movies, skip this one. If you don't like action and just all the standard action cliches, skip this one. If you just want to relax, eat some popcorn and see some bodyguard fighting his way and beating all the bad guys, this might be a good one for you. Based on my experience, I would give the movie a 7/10. That is way better than the critics score at Rotten Tomatoes and IMDb, but I guess I was simply happy to be able to go to the cinema again and eat some nachos!
One more thing... one of the last scenes of the movie portrays Morgan Freeman as the American President in a super funny photoshopped pictured, standing together with Angela Merkel, Vladimir Putin, and all the other guys... I just had a great laugh looking at it!

Angel has Fallen is the third movie in the Fallen series. The movie is directed by Ric Roman Waugh and sees Gerard Butler reprise his role as the Secret Service agent Mike Banning and Morgan Freeman now plays President Allan Trumbull. Danny Huston and Jada Pinkett Smith also appear in the movie.
In this movie Banning is being framed for trying to kill the president and for killing all of the Secret Service agents who were with him at the time of the assassination attempt. But no one cares about the plot of the movie. It took me three minutes to guess who the real bad guy is and I was right. Also, this movie is very anti-Trump and I guess since no one cares about the plot of the movie, as there was zero discussion about it online. This is pure fun 90s style action movie. It delivers exactly what it promises. Plot? Nobody really cares.
The Fallen series has a really small budget. That's why we keep getting more. They don't make a lot of money, but it is enough to keep it profitable. This movie even had a smaller budget than its predecessor, only 40 million dollars, which the movie already covered. Also, these movies keep Gerard Butler's career alive. So expect to see more of them. Not that I have a problem with it.
These movies feel like 90s fun. Great action, horrible effects and so bad its fanny dialogue. Also some of the action scenes were pretty funny. I think it was intentional and the crowd sure laughed at my screening. So, if you feel like watching an old school action movie, I totally recommend it.

This is unnecessary. A sequel to Olympus has Fallen and London has Fallen, this one takes the premise of Gerard Butler versus assassins/terrorists into the realm of the absurd, which is saying something when it already was perfectly planted there. I don’t know what to say.
