Hello to all my friends anime fans, I hope you are doing great today, this time I want to share with you a new review, this time of a very colorful anime, that I ended up liking more than I thought actually... If you are a fan of furros around here, this is an anime that you will like a lot haha. But okay, all kidding aside. Normally, people have a wrong perspective of animations that include anthropomorphic animals, but it should be noted that there are certain translations that end up being very good, and I think this is one of them... today I'll talk about B.N.A. or also known as Brand New Animal. This story may not be completely original, as it follows a somewhat classic format of characters who find themselves in a society that rejects those who are different, but it manages to capture a lot of attention due to its great vibrant visual style.
This anime is produced by Trigger studio, a rather famous studio that some of you will surely know... this studio is usually characterized by presenting productions with a lot of creativity and unique approaches. And it brings to the table a familiar story with a rather unique approach and very endearing characters, the anime follows the story of Michiru, a young girl who suddenly ends up transforming into a Beast Men, a kind of hybrid between human and animal, and is forced to take refuge in Anima City, a city where the Beast Men can live free from persecution by humans... At first glance, the premise may be reminiscent of other stories of racism or struggles for acceptance, but this story dares to explore slightly darker and deeper themes such as identity, what it really means to be discriminated against, and the interesting internal struggles of some characters...

Hola a todos amigos fanáticos del anime, espero que se encuentren super bien en el día de hoy, en esta ocasión les quiero compartir una nueva reseña, esta vez de un anime bastante pintoresco, que terminó gustándome más de lo que creía en realidad.. Si por aquí hay algún fanático de los furros, este seguro es un anime que les gustará mucho jaja. Pero bueno, fuera de bromas. Normalmente, se tiene una perspectiva errónea de las animaciones que incluyen a animales antropomórficos, pero hay que destacar que hay ciertas traducciones que terminan siendo muy buenas, y creo que esta es una de ellas.. hoy les hablaré de B.N.A. o también conocido como Brand New Animal. Esta historia puede ser que no sea completamente original, ya que sigue un formato algo clásico de personajes que se encuentran en una sociedad que rechaza a los que son diferentes, pero logra capturar mucha atención debido a su gran estilo visual vibrante.
Este anime es producido por el estudio Trigger, un estudio bastante famoso que seguramente algunos de ustedes conocerán.. este estudio normalmente se caracteriza por presentar producciones con mucha creatividad y enfoques únicos. Y nos trae a la mesa una historia familiar con un enfoque bastante único y personajes muy entrañables, el anime sigue la historia de Michiru, una joven que de repente acaba transformándose en un Beast Men, una especie de híbrido entre humano y animal, y se ve obligada a refugiarse en Anima City, una ciudad donde los Beast Men pueden vivir libres de persecución por parte de los humanos.. A primera vista, la premisa puede recordar a otras historias de racismo o lucha por aceptación, pero esta historia se atreve a explorar temas un poco más oscuros y profundos como la identidad, lo que significa realmente ser discriminado, y las luchas internas interesantes de algunos personajes..

One of the strengths of this series is the evolution of the main characters... our protagonist at first is really desperate to become human again, but as the story progresses she begins to accept her new identity and understand the complexity of being a Beast Men. Her evolution is gradual and feels well constructed in my opinion, which allows some viewers to genuinely connect with her journey.On the other hand, we have the character of Ogami, who is a sort of protector of the animal city.... He is a rather mysterious character with a somewhat dark past that is revealed little by little, this is great because it keeps the viewer intrigued. The relationship between these two is one of the pillars of the series.. throughout the two episodes, both characters support each other to overcome some of their personal challenges.
And although at first their goals seem to be different, they eventually realize that they have much more in common than they thought.... This character development is one of the aspects I enjoyed most about this anime. Brand New Animal also stands out for its ability to tackle some interesting topics while still entertaining you, the series uses the issue of discrimination against the Beastmen as a fairly direct metaphor that stresses deep issues such as religious intolerance, racism and the economic differences that these things give off. However, it does so in a way that didn't feel forced and allowed many viewers to reflect on some interesting issues in the present day...all while enjoying a series with plenty of action and always the tone of adventure.

Uno de los puntos fuertes de esta serie es la evolución de los personajes principales.. nuestra protagonista al principio está realmente desesperada por volver a ser humana, pero a medida que avanza la historia comienza a aceptar su nueva identidad y a entender la complejidad de ser un Beast Men. Su evolución es gradual y se siente bien construida a mi parecer, lo que permite que algunos espectadores puedan conectar genuinamente con su viaje, por otro lado, tenemos al personaje de Ogami, quien es una especie de protector de la ciudad animal.. Es un personaje bastante misterioso y con un pasado algo oscuro que se va revelando poco a poco, esto es genial porque mantiene al espectador intrigado. La relación entre estos dos es uno de los pilares de la serie.. a lo largo de los dos episodios, ambos personajes se apoyan mutuamente para superar algunos de sus desafíos personales.
Y aunque al principio sus objetivos parecen ser diferentes, con el tiempo se dan cuenta de que tienen mucho más en común de lo que pensaban.. Este desarrollo de personajes es uno de los aspectos que más me gustaron de este anime. Brand New Animal también se destaca por su capacidad de abordar algunos temas interesantes sin dejar de entretenerte, la serie utiliza el tema de la discriminación contra los Beastmen como una metáfora bastante directa que recalca temas profundos como la intolerancia religiosa, el racismo y las diferencias económicas que estas cosas desprenden. Sin embargo, lo hace de una manera que no la sentí forzada y que permitió a muchos espectadores reflexionar sobre algunas cuestiones interesantes en la actualidad.. todo esto mientras se disfruta de una serie con mucha acción y con siempre el tono de aventuras.

Visually, this anime is spectacular, the whole animation style is bold and colorful.... It has a color palette that constantly changes depending on the tone of the scenes... this artistic choice is not only attractive, but also serves great to emphasize with all the key moments of the story. I found the character design to be very memorable, from the adorable Michiru to her other fellow adventurers. However, despite its many strengths, this series, like many others, has its flaws, with only 12 episodes, some story arcs and secondary characters do not have enough time to develop as I would have liked.
This may leave some people feeling that the series could have benefited from a few more episodes to better explore its themes and obviously its characters. This series avoids falling into the trap of being a simple copy of other series or movies... it offers us a story with a unique identity that obviously stems from Trigger studio's strong creative direction and clearly its focus more on adventure and discovery.

Visualmente, este anime es espectacular, todo el estilo de animación es audaz y colorido.. Tiene una paleta de colores que cambia constantemente según el tono de las escenas.. esta elección artística no es solo atractiva, sino que también sirve de manera genial para enfatizar con todos los momentos claves de la historia. A mí el diseño de personajes me pareció muy memorable, desde la adorable Michiru hasta sus otros compañeros de aventuras. Sin embargo, a pesar de sus numerosos puntos fuertes, esta serie, como muchas otras, tiene sus fallos, con solo 12 episodios, algunos arcos narrativos y personajes secundarios no tienen suficiente tiempo para desarrollarse como me fuera gustado..
Esto puede dejar a algunas personas con la sensación de que la serie podría haberse beneficiado de unos pocos episodios más para explorar mejor sus temas y obviamente a sus personajes. Esta serie evita caer en la trampa de ser una simple copia de otras series o películas.. nos ofrece una historia con una identidad única que obviamente se desprende gracias a la dirección creativa potente del estudio Trigger y claramente a su enfoque más en la aventura y el descubrimiento.

Another thing I would like to point out is that the animation here can bring back memories of some classics like Pokémon and Digimon, mainly in the designs of some creatures, and clearly this may not be to everyone's liking, but for those who grew up with these series, like me, I found it a nice touch that adds an extra level of enjoyment... I like to see nice and well animated characters, and whether they look like others or not I think it's the least of it. The ending of the series seemed good to me, it is satisfying, and leaves some questions unanswered, I don't know if they intend to continue this series or not, but I consider that these questions are not too important either....
Clearly I would like to think that at some point a second season will come... it is an anime that I liked a lot, and it has enough quality, which is the important thing. It is a series that like everything has its flaws, but I also consider that it can offer you a unique and entertaining experience, it has endearing characters, a story that touches on relevant issues, and of course, an animation that stands out a lot. I would give it a rating of 8.5/10. It's a thrill ride that although it could have been a little deeper in some aspects, it gives you enough action and excitement to leave a good impression. Otra cosa que me gustaría destacar es que la animación aquí nos puede traer recuerdos de algunos clásicos como Pokémon y Digimon, principalmente en los diseños de algunas criaturas, y claramente esto puede ser que no sea del agrado de todos, pero para aquellos que crecieron con estas series, como yo, me pareció un toque agradable que añade un nivel adicional de disfrute.. a mi me gusta ver personajes bonitos y bien animados, y que se parezcan o no a otros creo que ya es lo de menos. El final de la serie me pareció bueno, es satisfactorio, y deja algunas preguntas sin responder, no sé si tendrán la intención de continuar esta serie o no, pero considero que estas preguntas tampoco son demasiado importantes..
Claramente me gustaría pensar que en algún momento llegará una segunda temporada.. es un anime que me gustó mucho, y tiene bastante calidad, que es lo importante. Es una serie que como todo tiene sus defectos, pero que también considero que te puede ofrecer una experiencia única y entretenida, tiene personajes entrañables, una historia que toca temas relevantes, y por supuesto, una animación que destaca mucho. Yo le daría una calificación de 8.5/10. Es un viaje emocionante que aunque podría haber sido un poco más profundo en algunos aspectos, te ofrece la suficiente acción y emoción para dejar una impresión buena.
