  1. Anime Quest: The Beginning After the End: A Masterpiece Manhwa And A Poor Anime Adaptation.@fashtioluwa434d

Good morning, anime lovers, manga readers, and manhwa readers. It's a good day to join The Anime Realm Quest. I feel like I am on a journey to discover something new, and this is my first quest. I have 10 more to go.

You all know how interesting it can get when a reader reads a manhwa for a very long time and gets the news that the manhwa will be getting an anime adaptation; it's always exciting. The truth is that we always hope for the best, and I can tell you "Solo Leveling" did a good job with their anime adaptation. Still, there is one manhwa I have been following for years, and the truth is that after the anime adaptation was announced, a lot of us were happy because we would be getting another action anime on screen, but the truth is that what we saw wasn't what we expected.

    The Beginning After The End

"The Beginning After the End" is an exceptional manhwa that has captured the hearts of many readers like myself. I have been following it since the year 2018. The storyline is more of an isekai kind of story; it's about a powerful king who died in his world and was reborn in another world with all his memories of the previous world still intact in his brain. As the story goes, everybody in that world is mostly born with one elemental magic attribute, but after discovering he can use magic, he found out he can use all four elements of magic (wind, water, earth, and fire), and the best part is that he can use the variants of this magic too, like ice, lightning, and many more, which made him very special in his parents' eyes.

The story goes on, he was separated from his parent after they got attacked on their way to the capital; they all thought he was dead; he helped a kidnapped elven princess; and everything about the storyline was just perfect, the character development, previous life drama, and finding allies were some of the things that made it good too.

The art style in "The Beginning After the End" is truly remarkable. The manhwa's creator did a great job in selecting the artist and the art style, although during the years, there was a pause at a point, and when the manhwa continued, the art style changed, not for the worse but for the better. The attention to detail, the character designs, and the environments are all beautifully drawn, making the reading experience a delight.

    A Disappointing Anime Adaptation?

I have one suggested this manhwa for people to read on Manga Monday and it seems a lot of people know it and we’re expecting great anime adaptation, the anime adaptation of "The Beginning After the End" has received criticism for its presentation, with many people calling it a "PowerPoint anime"

The truth is that, after watching the first episode, it discouraged me from continuing the anime because the first episode was done poorly. It was truly a PowerPoint presentation. If given the images, I would do the same motions display that was given to us in the first episode and I was highly disappointed, not just me but everyone lover of the manhwa.

It's disappointing to see the anime adaptation not live up to the manhwa's standards. The static visuals and lack of animation can make the show feel more like a slideshow than a dynamic anime series. Hopefully, future adaptations will better capture the essence and quality of the manhwa.

The truth is that, many people are waiting for it to get better while others have given up on it. Well, I haven’t given up on it, let’s see how the first season goes, if there is no improvement then it will lose more fan than it actually has.

Rating: 9.5/10 for the manhwa while a 5/10 for the anime adaptation.

    Here is the trailer

  2. B The Beginning.

Dejo trailer.

    Saludos y gracias.

  3. B: The Beginning - A Netflix Original Anime Review@dlstudios2634d

I figured I'd take a bit of time to look over another show from last year I missed out on since the current anime season is just starting to pick up steam, and one I had on my list for a while was B: The Beginning. I won't lie, the reason is the name was incredibly stupid, and I kind of want to know what is up with that name.

Going in with no expectations at all, I am quickly reminded of Terror in Resonance, something the show was clearly inspired by. I'm not saying it's a rip-off, but the inspiration is pretty clear. You have an old detective currently working in the archives but comes back to the force to help investigate a criminal they are having trouble with. Along the way there ends up being another party involved, and a kind of partnership forms between the detective and the original criminal.

They differ in quite a few ways, specifically in the reasoning behind the detectives rejoining the force. In the Case of B, Detective Keith Flick has been researching his sisters killer. In addition, there is definitely a supernatural element going on to the show with government research into reviving gods. Even the motivations of the ones under investigation are massively different between the shows. I bring this up because while there are definite similarities, it doesn't really feel right to compare the shows. Their themes, styles, and narrative are vastly different despite sharing a core premise.

That said, I don't see B becoming a classic anytime soon. It has a tendency to fall into the trap of making Keith Flick look smart by simply expecting you to run with the fact he knows what's going on without really explaining in any real detail. He just knows because he's smarter than you, and they even throw in this quirky thing where he writes down all these equations on everything that no one else can really understand. What they mean is never really explained, he's just doing important deductions and that's all you really know.

The show also manages to keep you invested because a lot of the characters are fairly interesting. Seeing' Killer B live his normal life as a craftsman fixing Violins and then jumping into the fray of combat with other supernatural beings in search of a certain girl do help him feel like a rounded character. You similarly get a great view of what kind of person Flick is, especially his dedication to finding out more information about his sisters Killer, as well as his own relationship the previously mentioned program to revive the gods.

The combat is also pretty intense and fast-paced at times and is a lot of fun to watch. In the sky, on the building side, guns and swords, it's quite a thrill to see all the different elements at play. You even get a lot of fun car chases, including the police force trying to chase down a military tank with stealth abilities.

Where the story starts to fall flat again however is the show's insistence you just kind of accept things work a certain way without really explaining anything too you. The big one is that, at a certain location, certain powers of B simply don't work, and is told he should avoid fighting there. They seem to not work... because if they did it wouldn't be a very climactic fight scene. They really don't give you any more information on that.

The show does a good job at wrapping up the story it wanted to tell this season while setting up a plot for the upcoming season two. You can definitely watch this season and not feel like you weren't told a full story, plus it's nice to know it's going to continue in the future. There are too many problems to give it a full recommendation, but so long as you aren't expecting too much beyond a fun action show with some pretty solid characters and good action, it's worth a look.
