In the 2015 film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, there is a scene of the hero, Bajrangi (Salman Khan) was sleeping near an entrance of a mosque. An Imam spotted him and invited him to come into the mosque. Bajrangi said he can’t because he is not a Muslim. To that the Imam laughed out loud and said, “So what brother? This place is open for everyone.”

Within the confines of light hearted drama, comedy and adventure wrapped with beautiful melodies of Bajrangi Bhaijaan, (which is a grand trademark of Bollywood) lies a subtle critique of two conflicting countries and religion (Hindu of northern India and the Muslim of Pakistan). Where two different faiths from two countries can be united through humanity and compassion, which is showcased and symbolised by the character arc of both Bajrangi and Munni. It peaked in that finale scene where both crushed through the man-made political borders and be united.

It is sad that the current generation which is the product of brainwashing and indoctrination by a system that feeds on differences has demonised any idea of unity. In Koran it says that God has created us differently for us to know each other. And what would we find if we finally know each other? It is that we are all the same.

Of course, the advocates of the system for divisions will surely blasphemised this idea because their goal is for their politicians to win the next election. Whilst the real statemen would think of the next generation. As how a 19th-century American theologian and author James Freeman Clarke said it. It is a commentary on thinking in short-term and a long term vision.

At the end of the film Gubra, Yasmin Ahmad included the Rumi quote saying, “The lamp is different but the light is the same.” The universality of the symbolic meaning of light is used even by Tolkien in the Lord Of The Rings. Galadriel passes Frodo the Light of Eerendil and says, “May it be a light for you in dark places, when all the other lights go out.”

And may other conflicting bordering tribes of all faiths anywhere in the world find common ground and peace.

Raj is a man who was about getting married but on a condition if only he can build a house within six months as requested by his father-in-law who he lives with, he took the challenge because he was in love with the man's daughter and was hustling day and night to get this fulfilled until one day in a eatery he noticed a little girl staring at him and he offered her the milk he wanted to take which she gladly took but still refuse to leave him, this got raj confused and that was where the entanglement began.... source

He took her to the police station but the officer in charge refused to take the girl stating the police station is to harbor criminals not for children who lost their way, raj had no other choice but to take the girl home.. He told his father-in-law and fiancee about the lost child and after some nagging from the father-in-law, she get to stay with them and the search for her parent continued..

It was a mission impossible as the girl couldn't talk, on a fateful day raj country was having a cricket match with the girl's country and all of them were sad and dejected except the girl who was jubilating and they were all surprised, raj asked her for the last time, is that your country? she said yes! oh no raj didn't know what to do, the little girl country ad his country have been sworn enemies for so long, how did she end up here, he can't go to her country as he will be treated like an animal and the girl need to go back home.....

After many attempt that failed, no one was willing to take the girl home and the embassy was shut down, raj decided to risk it all to take the girl to his country by crossing the border, they both went through lot of ordeals on their way and the problems got worse when they get to the girl's country, the police thought raj was a spy from india, he was able to get the little girl to her mother with the help of a journalist but he was not so lucky..

He was caught by the police and they tortured him a lot, the people of both country get to hear the story of the common man who rescued a little girl that was mute and they fought for his release..

On the day he was to return to his coutry, the little girl came and a miracle happened, she spoke for the first time in her life shouting ahead of raj, uncle! uncle! ...

Raj was happy, the little girl's parent rejoice, the whole people were feeling so emotional and that stopped the hatred between the two countries and they learn to tolerate each other....
