Hola mis queridos lectores de Hive y amantes del mundo cinematográfico ❤️
Hoy les quiero compartir una alternativa para disfrutar de alguna producción, esa que es especial para aquellos que quieren una historia concisa y precisa, corta e intensa sin mucho relleno y directa al grano como se suele decir, pues eso para mi significan los cortometrajes, de hecho creo que he mirado 4 o 5 en mi vida, la mayoría de ellos animados y uno que otro de terror que mas que terror me dio un poco de cringe, pero al final lo disfruto porque pienso que también es parte de la experiencia mirando este tipo de formato.
La verdad que este corto llego a mi sin querer, solo buscaba una recomendación animada y pensando que ésta también lo seria, aproveche para mirarla a ver que tal y si me terminaría gustando una historia en tan solo 8 minutos.
Algo que no puedo negar es mi gusto por los diseños de animaciones, y es que cada vez son mas únicos y originales por así decirlo en la edición y diseño de personajes, pero sin duda lo que mas me llamo la atención ademas de todo lo anterior que mencioné es su cultura y que esta historia estaría basada en un ambiente asiático, mostrándonos una parte de ese mundo, específicamente chino, con sus costumbres, comida y tradiciones con una historia conmovedora y con un mensaje real para aprender a valorar ciertos aspectos de nuestra vida, entre ellos la familia.
A primera vista se vería muy fantasiosa, que tratara de un cuento muy fuera de la realidad ya que la protagonista, una mujer con un bonito y tradicional matrimonio con un aparente hijo que de momento no sale pero se deja apreciar o reflejar un día en un "Bao", un bollo relleno hecho de masa que es muy típico en esa cultura china, pienso que de allí se origina el nombre del corto. Este mágicamente cobra vida y toma el papel de hijo, pasando y viviendo todo ese proceso desde su nacimiento hasta la madurez, pero...que significará esto realmente?. Una historia llena de muchos valores, y por su puesto como era de esperarse con un inesperado y conmovedor final.
Un dato importante fue que este corto logro ganar una estatuilla de los premios Oscar, siendo dirigido por primera vez por una mujer quien baso un poco de sus vivencias y experiencias para compartir y a la vez transmitir el mensaje de unión y comprensión familiar, todo esto ambientado en la cultura china, algo que muchos desconocíamos y nos damos cuenta que no es tan diferente como imaginamos. Mi puntuación para esta película sería un 9 de 10, y si bien puede causar un poco de confusión, pienso que vale la pena verla. Aquí les comparto el tráiler para que la disfruten y se animen a verla si es que aún no lo han hecho.. y ya luego me cuentan que tal les pareció 😸.

Today I want to share with you an alternative to enjoy a production, one that is special for those who want a concise and precise story, short and intense without much filler and straight to the point as they say, because that for me means short films, in fact I think I've watched 4 or 5 in my life, most of them animated and one horror film that more than terror gave me a little cringe, but in the end I enjoy it because I think it is also part of the experience watching this type of format.
The truth is that this short film came to me unintentionally, I was just looking for an animated recommendation and thinking that this one would be too, I took the opportunity to watch it to see if I would end up liking a story in just 8 minutes.
Something I can not deny is my love for animation designs, and is that every time they are more unique and original so to speak in editing and character design, but certainly what caught my attention in addition to all the above mentioned is its culture and that this story would be based in an Asian environment, showing us a part of that world, specifically Chinese, with their customs, food and traditions with a touching story and with a real message to learn to value certain aspects of our lives, including family.
At first glance it would seem very fanciful, that it would be a story very out of reality as the protagonist, a woman with a beautiful and traditional marriage with an apparent son who at the moment does not come out but is appreciated or reflected one day in a "Bao", a stuffed dumpling made of dough that is very typical in that Chinese culture, I think that's where the name of the short film originates from. This magically comes to life and takes on the role of a son, going through the whole process from birth to maturity, but... what does this really mean? A story full of many values, and of course, as expected, with an unexpected and touching ending.
An important fact was that this short film managed to win an Oscar statuette, being directed for the first time by a woman who based a little of her experiences to share and at the same time convey the message of unity and family understanding, all this set in Chinese culture, something that many of us did not know and we realize that it is not as different as we imagined. My score for this movie would be a 9 out of 10, and while it may cause a bit of confusion, I think it is worth watching.
