A miracle that came with the rain.
Hola a todos espero que se encuentren muy bien, hoy les traigo la reseña de la película coreana "Be With You" o en español "Junto a tí" que me encantó, es de género romance, fantasia. Esta película la conseguí por suerte buscando películas asiáticas, cuando ví que los protagonista son So Ji-Sub y Son Ye-Jin dije: Estos dos increíbles actores juntos haciendo de pareja y de paso la película es del 2018... ¿Cómo no la había visto antes?
Hello everyone I hope you are very well, today I bring you the review of the Korean movie "Be With You" or in Spanish "Junto a tí" that I loved, it is of romance genre, fantasy. I got this movie by luck looking for Asian movies, when I saw that the main characters are So Ji-Sub and Son Ye-Jin I said: These two amazing actors together playing a couple and by the way the movie is from 2018.... How had I not seen it before?
Be with you comienza contando la historia de una madre pingüino y su hijo pingüino que se aman mucho pero debido a que la madre se encuentra en un lugar llamado "La Tierra de las Nubes" solo puede visitar a su pequeño hijo cuando es temporada de lluvia. Una vez que la lluvia acaba ella debe volver.
Be with you begins by telling the story of a penguin mother and her penguin son who love each other very much but because the mother is in a place called "The Land of Clouds" she can only visit her little boy when it is rainy season. Once the rain ends she must return.
Woo-Jin y Soo-Ah se conocen desde la escuela secundaria, Woo-Jin es un excelente nadador y tiene siempre a su lado a su mejor amigo Hong-Goo. Soo-Ah es una estudiante con muy buenas calificaciones pero algo tímida.
Woo-Jin and Soo-Ah have known each other since high school, Woo-Jin is an excellent swimmer and always has his best friend Hong-Goo by his side. Soo-Ah is a student with very good grades but somewhat shy.
La historia está contada en diferentes tiempos, presente-pasado-presente. Woo-Jin tiene un hijo llamado Ji-ho ambos viven solos luego de la inesperada muerte de Soo-Ah.
Ji-ho siempre Lee el libro que le dejó su mamá, dónde cuenta la historia de una madre pingüino y su hijo y como ella siempre lo ve desde "La Tierra de las Nubes" y que se reencontrarán en un día de lluvia a lo que Ji-ho anhela tanto que los días de lluvia lleguen para volver a ver a su mamá. Mientras lleva una vida normal con su papá Woo-Jin el cual ya no nada pero trabaja en un lugar donde dan clases de natación y es muy popular entre las mujeres. Pero el no está interesado, el recuerdo de Soo-Ah siempre está presente, su primer y único amor.
The story is told in different tenses, present-past-present. Woo-Jin has a son named Ji-ho and they both live alone after Soo-Ah's unexpected death.
Ji-ho always reads the book his mom left him, where he tells the story of a mother penguin and her son and how she always sees him from "The Land of Clouds" and that they will be reunited on a rainy day to which Ji-ho longs so much for the rainy days to come to see his mom again. Meanwhile, she leads a normal life with her dad Woo-Jin who no longer swims but works in a place where they give swimming lessons and is very popular among women. But he is not interested, the memory of Soo-Ah is always present, his first and only love.
Un día anuncia en las noticias la llegada de la temporada de lluvias y Ji-ho se pone muy feliz porque podrá volver a ver a su mamá. El escapa de su casa y Woo-Jin lo sigue hasta que llegan a una especie de antigüo túnel dónde ven a una mujer sentada en la grama.
Ji-ho se acerca muy emocionado y Woo-Jin queda conmocionada con lo que ve. Ahí en medio de la lluvia está Soo-Ah, pero ella no tiene recuerdos. Ella no sabe quiénes son ellos. Ji-ho y Woo-Jin deciden mentir y decirle que ella estaba enferma y que acaba de salir del hospital.
One day the news announces the arrival of the rainy season and Ji-ho is very happy because he will be able to see his mom again. He runs away from home and Woo-Jin follows him until they reach a kind of old tunnel where they see a woman sitting on the grass.
Ji-ho approaches her excitedly and Woo-Jin is shocked by what she sees. There in the rain is Soo-Ah, but she has no memory. She doesn't know who they are. Ji-ho and Woo-Jin decide to lie and tell her that she was sick and just got out of the hospital.
Soo-Ah está de nuevo en casa con su esposo y su hijo. Ella está tan desconcertada como ellos pero decide vivir con ellos. Poco a poco va encariñandose con su hijo Ji-ho y vuelve a su rutina normal, ayudando en las cosas de la casa. Aún ella no está muy segura de cómo sentirse al lado de Woo-Jin pero el muy paciente le va recordando todo lo que vivieron desde el comienzo.
Soo-Ah is back home with her husband and son. She is as bewildered as they are but decides to live with them. She gradually grows fond of her son Ji-ho and returns to her normal routine, helping out around the house. She's still not sure how to feel around Woo-Jin but he patiently reminds her of everything they've been through since the beginning.
Está historia es tan hermosa como triste, porque mientras vamos viendo la historia que dura alrededor de dos horas nos muestran como Soo-Ah siempre tuvo sentimientos por Woo-Jin pero nunca se lo decía. Después el destino los vuelve a reencontrar gracias a la ayuda del mejor amigo de Woo-Jin y su historia de amor empieza, pero no será muy larga tristemente.
A pesar de que podría parecer que es una historia que no tiene final feliz, no es así, nos deja muchas enseñanzas, como que el amor puede traspasar hasta lo mágico, que el amor nos empuja a que seamos una mejor versión de nosotros mismos y que nos deja grandes momentos vividos para recordar.
La lluvia tiene un papel muy importante en esta historia, porque por alguna razón Woo-Jin y Soo-Ah siempre viven momentos felices cuando llueve.
This story is as beautiful as it is sad, because as we watch the story that lasts about two hours we are shown how Soo-Ah always had feelings for Woo-Jin but never told him. Then fate brings them together again thanks to the help of Woo-Jin's best friend and their love story begins, but sadly it won't be a long one.
Although it might seem that it is a story that does not have a happy ending, it does not, it leaves us with many lessons, such as that love can transcend even the magical, that love pushes us to be a better version of ourselves and that it leaves us with great moments to remember.
Rain plays a very important role in this story, because for some reason Woo-Jin and Soo-Ah always have happy moments when it rains.
