Hoy quise ver una película que es algo vieja pero que siempre había querido tener la oportunidad de ver ya que me llamaba la atención el nombre de la película Blue is the warmest colour dirigida por Abdellatif Kechiche y que nos cuenta una historia profundamente entrañable y muestra el lado de vivir el descubrimiento de la sexualidad en la juventud y como esto puede generar un conflicto interior en la persona que lo vive por miedo a ser rechazado. Después de que termine de verla pude entender el por qué del nombre, el azul es un color asociado a la tristeza que en conjunto con esta historia de amor es el color más cálido. Today I wanted to see a movie that is a bit old but I had always wanted to have the opportunity to see it because the name of the movie Blue is the warmest colour directed by Abdellatif Kechiche called my attention. It tells us a deeply endearing story and shows the side of living the discovery of sexuality in youth and how this can generate an inner conflict in the person who lives it for fear of being rejected. After I finished watching it I could understand why the name, blue is a color associated with sadness that in conjunction with this love story is the warmest color. La historia nos cuenta la vida de una joven de diecisiete años llamada Adele (Adèle Exarchopoulos) que está por terminar la secundaria y tiene un gran grupo de amigas dónde se siente parte de él o al comienzo de la historia eso es lo que ella piensa, En la secundaria conoce a un joven que cada día la mira y esto le genera una inquietud y además también emoción porque por primera vez siente que alguien la ve como alguien especial, empiezan a tener citas ocasionales y luego tiene su primer encuentro sexual. En ese momento Adele se sintió diferente y trato de evitar por completo al joven hasta que tuvo que hablarle con la verdad y decirle que aunque le parecía un joven muy divertido y agradable, ella no sentía lo mismo por el.
The story tells us the life of a seventeen year old girl named Adele (Adèle Exarchopoulos) who is about to finish high school and has a great group of friends where she feels part of it or at the beginning of the story that is what she thinks, In high school she meets a young man who every day looks at her and this generates a concern and also excitement because for the first time she feels that someone sees her as someone special, they begin to have occasional dates and then she has her first sexual encounter. At that moment Adele felt different and tried to avoid the young man completely until she had to tell him the truth and tell him that although she thought he was a very funny and nice young man, she did not feel the same way about him.

So after this event and her friends getting upset that she was making the "wrong decision" she simply decided to ignore their comments and go on with her life until one night her best friend who is Gay invites her to a bar to hang out with him, in the end she ends up going on her own to another bar but for lesbians and that is where she sees again a girl who had caught her attention one day when she looked at her on the street, the crush is immediate although Adele feels scared for feeling the way she does.
Adele termina por hablar con esta chica de cabellos azules y un estilo único que la hace destacar de los demás, le pregunta su nombre y esta le dice que se llama Emma (Léa Seydoux), mientras se van conociendo Emma le cuenta a Adele que es estudiante en la universidad en la carrera de Artes que le apasiona el pintar y dibujar, Adele tambien le cuenta que ella cuando salga de la secundaria quiere ser maestra de preescolar porque le gustan los niños y siempre ha pensado en esa carrera como su primera opción para su futuro.
Adele ends up talking to this girl with blue hair and a unique style that makes her stand out from the rest, she asks her name and she tells her that her name is Emma (Léa Seydoux), while they get to know each other Emma tells Adele that she is a student at the university in the Arts career that she is passionate about painting and drawing, Emma also tells her that when she gets out of high school she wants to be a preschool teacher because she likes children and has always thought of that career as her first choice for her future.
Las salidas empiezan a ser más frecuentes entre Adele y Emma, Emma le pregunta que por qué estaba en el bar esa noche y que si se siente atraída por las mujeres y Adele le responde que no sabe en realidad que es lo que siente hacia sus preferencias sexuales y que tiene miedo de entrar en un mundo dónde pueda ser juzgada por sus amigos y por sus padres, esto hace que se resista al comienzo a la gran atracción que siente por Emma pero al final terminan estando juntas y empiezan una relación a escondidas de la familia de Adele ya que ellos aunque suelen apoyarla siempre, ella piensa que nunca le perdonarían el hecho de que su pareja fuera una mujer.
Emma asks her why she was at the bar that night and if she is attracted to women and Adele replies that she doesn't really know how she feels about her sexual preferences and that she is afraid of entering a world where she might be judged by her friends and her parents, This makes her resist at first to the great attraction she feels for Emma but in the end they end up being together and start a relationship hidden from Adele's family because although they always support her, she thinks that they would never forgive her the fact that her partner is a woman.
La película tiene una duración de tres horas cosa que me impresionó porque no pensé que fuera tan larga pero aún así decidí verla hasta el final porque me intrigaba que podría pasar. En cuanto a la película que en Latinoamérica se llama La Vida de Adele puedo decir que es algo lenta al comienzo pero que te engancha y que además te hace reflexionar acerca de diversos aspectos de la vida y la identidad sexual, la trama se centra en el proceso de Adele de descubrimiento sobre sus preferencias sexuales y el comenzar a conocerse a si misma, más allá de su atracción por las mujeres podemos ver cómo Adele es una persona que se encuentra muy inestable y que esto la lleva a tomar decisiones en algunos momentos equivocados y que hace que el final de la película no sea tan bonito, es difícil para Adele poder demostrar ante los demás que ella es una mujer que siente atracción hacia otras mujeres y que esto no le llegue afectar en el proceso.
The movie has a duration of three hours which impressed me because I did not think it would be so long but I still decided to watch it until the end because I was intrigued about what could happen. As for the movie which in Latin America is called The Life of Adele I can say that it is a little slow at the beginning but it hooks you and also makes you reflect on various aspects of life and sexual identity, the plot focuses on Adele's process of discovery about her sexual preferences and beginning to know herself, Beyond her attraction to women we can see how Adele is a person who is very unstable and this leads her to make decisions at some wrong moments and that makes the end of the film is not so nice, it is difficult for Adele to demonstrate to others that she is a woman who is attracted to other women and that this does not affect her in the process.
Adele es una joven que pasa por muchos procesos en poco tiempo y que le hacen sentir un torbellino de emociones, además de que muestra una profunda necesidad de una forma bastante dependiente hacia Emma cuando ya son una pareja, Adele muestra constantemente el necesitar estar con ella tanto en lo sexual como en la comodidad de poder tener a alguien que la comprende cuando se ve en la película que ni ella misma lo hace pero pienso que es algo normal para Adele ya que está en una edad en la que desea conocer y experimentar y tristemente va a cometer muchos errores en el camino hasta poder comprender que algunas veces las cosas que deseamos debemos cuidarlas y que hay veces que las cosas no se pueden arreglar con un perdón cuando el daño causado ya está hecho.
Adele is a young woman who goes through many processes in a short time and that make her feel a whirlwind of emotions, plus she shows a deep need in a quite dependent way towards Emma when they are already a couple, Adele constantly shows the need to be with her both sexually and in the comfort of being able to have someone who understands her when it is seen in the film that even she herself does not but I think it is something normal for Adele as she is at an age where she wants to know and experience and sadly she will make many mistakes along the way until she can understand that sometimes the things we want we must take care of them and that there are times when things can not be fixed with forgiveness when the damage caused is already done.
Uno de los aspectos más impactantes de esta película es la forma en que aborda el miedo de Adele a ser rechazada por su entorno al revelar su verdadera identidad. El tema de la aceptación y la auto expresión es tratado con una sensibilidad y realismo que resuenan directamente en el espectador, llevándonos a plantearnos cuestiones sobre la identidad, la autenticidad y el miedo al rechazo. La escenografía de la película es impecable. Cada detalle está cuidadosamente pensado y la dirección logra capturar la esencia de la historia de forma auténtica y emotiva. Los paisajes, colores y elementos visuales contribuyen a crear una atmósfera envolvente que sumerge al espectador en la historia de Adele y Emma, haciéndonos sentir parte de su mundo y sus emociones. Esta película nos invita a comprender desde la perspectiva de Adele cómo es el comenzar a tener intereses sexuales y amorosos hacia otras personas, lo que se convierte en un viaje emocional muy dramático además también nos enseña que por más que intentemos dejar de lado eso que nos da paz y que sentimos por la persona que queremos, al final no nos sentiremos felices si no estamos en concordancia con lo que sentimos realmente. Es una película llena de escenas muy bonitas, algunas sexuales bastante gráficas y momentos de dolor por parte de nuestras protagonistas y la relación que tienen en esta historia. Para muchos es una película que es de las mejores de este tipo de historias, para mí me pareció interesante que mostraran de forma muy humana las decisiones que tomo Adele en su vida y como fue creciendo y madurando durante el proceso. For many it is a movie that is one of the best of this type of stories, for me I found it interesting that they showed in a very human way the decisions that Adele made in her life and how she was growing and maturing during the process.
