My doubts finally diminished a little, when a friend gave a spoiler as a lure so that I was sure to watch it.
BRAIN WORKS
Orientation
Image
Yep! Korean drama recommended by my friend and in the mystery and comedy genre. The drama written by Park Kyung Soon was released earlier this year totaling 16 episodes, with an average duration of each episode of 70 minutes. According to Nielsen Korea quoted from MyDramaList ("Brain Works" and "Trolley" Get Steady Ratings - MyDramaList) Brain Woeks received a rating of 4.4%. This drama can be watched on the official VIU platform.
Interpretation
Shin Ha Roo (Jung Yonng-Hwa) is a neurologist who is very famous in Korea as a very genius doctor. In addition, he also has a handsome and confident face. Since doing research at a company called Brain Lab, Shin Ha Roo wants to develop a big project called Rebuilding the Psychopath's Brain. Because of his confidence in the planned project, Ha Roo then faked a brain donor by a psychopath who was sentenced to death. Because of this fatal incident, Ha Roo was finally dismissed from the company and joined the police in the Neuroscience Investigation Team.

Interestingly, in this Neuroscience Investigation Team, the high-hearted Ha Roo must be a team with Geum Myong-Se (Cha Tae Hyun) whose nature is 360 degrees opposite to him.
Evaluation
"just skip some of part if there are scenes that can be discarded or you feel bored," my friend said in an online chat. And strangely enough, there wasn't a single part or episode that I skipped. Everything was interesting. Not wordy and on point. Although there are not many Korean dramas with the mystery genre that I watch, I can say that Brain Works is a character building between characters that although slow but cool and successful. Another bonus for me, as the title suggests, all the stories of each episode are about brain performance, which then clearly refers to a person's mentality: the perpetrator's mentality or the victim's mentality, as well as witnesses. I got to know how detectives and legal experts work, processing a case before it is handed over to the prosecutor and goes to trial. I was also very interested in the details of how to explain cases of neurological diseases (although there were many medical terms that I didn't know, but I enjoyed it).
Summary
It is true that Brain Works is underatted, however, I still recommend this drama to watch. This drama is categorized as 15+, probably because there are many scenes about violence, so it is not recommended for children to watch.

Hi, I am the child of the universe, I like to read books with various genres. I was born in the city of batik but can't draw batik yet. I want to be a novelist, but my works are only short poems that are included in anthology books.
