This week's theme is for me, I love it just as much as the initiator of the theme loves it because of his dad who's celebrating another year added to his age... My wishes to him. Why I say this theme is for me is a long story but in a short sentence, mum left us when we were little and I had to grow up with dad's love and support... My dad is the only super human I know, he's awesome!
And that makes me dedicate this post to him as well... Haha I know it's a movie review in the real sense but I feel like I'm appreciating my dad once again writing this, this movie shows a dad's love on another level and I'll recommend it to families to see it.
"Cheaper by the dozen" is a Disney movie released in March 2022. It's genre is just my favourite... Adventure, Comedy, Family, Romance. It's a movie for just any one to see including kids and it has so much morals to learn from, another thing I love about it. I've seen this movie twice and I still laugh in every funny scene like I've not seen it before.
One dad, two mums, 10 kids, 2 dogs
I think it's more than a dozen or is it? And honestly! That's a lot but guess what! The role of the dad in it didn't make it seem like a lot like he said in the closing end of the movie "We know it's a lot of work but it all feels so right" and that is so true judging from the scenes that were displayed.
The super dad, Paul Baker starred by Zach Braff... My dad's look alike in the way he gives support to his family. I felt like I was watching my dad do his thing even though the kids are way more than my siblings and I. Paul Baker is a man who was divorced with two kids and remarried to a divorced woman with two kids too, they had more kids together resulting to 9 kids and adopted one more to make them 10 kids.
The fact that he knows how to take care of his kids especially the toddlers among them is amazing! He is a great adviser and the kids loves him including the ones that knows that he's not their real father.
The big family work so hard together to grow their Baker's Dozen breakfast. Super dad and his wife are good chefs, their kids are good at their roles in serving and bringing in orders. Although they had their moments of quarrels, fights, jealousy and unawareness, the family always find a way to get back together as one no matter their number.
The comedy aspect of this movie is something else, the super dad is my favourite comedy actor in the movie. He's a funny dancer, bad at style and talks really funny... He's a great actor.
All the kids know how to have fun with themselves, giving their dad headaches but it is what makes him want to work harder to provide the best for them. He applied for ways to upgrade his bakery but found out it was drifting him away from his kids and the love was dying down, they went back to their old life and became happier.
Seeing the movie will be best than reading this right now, it's a highly recommended movie from me... I'll rate it a 9/10 and I hope you have fun enjoying the movie like I did.

These hilarious family movies make me momentarily forget why I'd rather have a small family. Any movie that has this effect definitely delivered what it was supposed to.

If you've seen Yours, Mine and Ours then you have an idea of what to expect in this movie. They have a lot of similarities but they are also very different.
Picture this, divorced man with kids meets divorced woman with kids, they fall in love and decide to get married merging both of their families in the process. This is basically the foundation of Cheaper by the Dozen.
It shows their struggles as a big interracial family and everything it entails. The movie is pleasantly entertaining. I expect nothing less from a Disney plus film. I've always loved Disney movies even though some of them end up disappointing but this one wasn't.
Si has visto Yours, Mine and Ours, entonces tienes una idea de qué esperar de esta película. Tienen muchas similitudes pero también son muy diferentes.
Imagínese esto, un hombre divorciado con hijos se encuentra con una mujer divorciada con hijos. Se enamoran y deciden casarse, fusionando a sus dos familias en el proceso. Esta es básicamente la base de Cheaper by the Dozen.
Muestra sus luchas como una gran familia interracial y todo lo que implica. La película es gratamente entretenida. No espero menos de una película de Disney plus. Siempre me han gustado las películas de Disney, aunque algunas terminan decepcionando, pero esta no lo fue.
Gabe Union as Zoe, meets Zach Braff as Paul in his restaurant which was later renamed Baker's Breakfast after they got married. The family runs the place with Paul as the chef, Zoe as the manager and the kids as the waiters and cashier.
It is the ideal family business until a promised expansion makes things a little bumpy for them. This is as a result of Paul always being away on business trips in preparation for the expansion leaving Zoe all alone to cater to the children.
Before this, Paul and Zoe were a very efficient team which made everything easier as they both had someone to rely on for strength and support.

Antes de esto, Paul y Zoe eran un equipo muy eficiente que hizo que todo fuera más fácil, ya que ambos tenían a alguien en quien confiar para obtener fuerza y apoyo.
They have a total of 10 children. Two each from their previous marriages, two sets of twins they had after the wedding, Paul's nephew and an orphaned kid Paul adopted. It's a mad house on a normal day as you can imagine so it obviously wasn't easy for Zoe to deal with it all alone.
Tienen un total de 10 hijos. Dos de cada uno de sus matrimonios anteriores, dos pares de gemelos que tuvieron después de la boda, el sobrino de Paul y un niño huérfano que Paul adoptó. Es una casa de locos en un día normal, como puedes imaginar, por lo que obviamente no fue fácil para Zoe lidiar con todo sola.
Personal opinion and rating / Opinión personal y calificación
The movie is a good one. There wasn't any dull moment from the Walt Disney castle intro till when the credits were rolling. It was an hour plus of absolute viewing pleasure. Like I said earlier, it gave what it was supposed to.
It is a bit superficial though. I know big families exist in real life, possibly under the same circumstances as the one in the movie but it all just seems like a very fantastic tale spun by the playwright.
With the movie released this year and set in modern times, most things were very relatable. This is great because you aren't left wondering what something means or where references made are from.
La película es buena. No hubo ningún momento aburrido desde la introducción del castillo de Walt Disney hasta que comenzaron los créditos. Fue más de una hora de absoluto placer visual. Como dije antes, dio lo que se suponía que debía hacer.
Aunque es un poco superficial. Sé que existen familias numerosas en la vida real, posiblemente en las mismas circunstancias que la de la película, pero todo parece una historia muy fantástica contada por el dramaturgo.
Con la película lanzada este año y ambientada en los tiempos modernos, la mayoría de las cosas eran muy identificables. Esto es genial porque no te quedas preguntándote qué significa algo o de dónde son las referencias hechas.
One peculiar thing about their whole family setting is the comfortable presence of both their ex spouses. I don't think it can happen this way in real life. The family seemed so peaceful, as peaceful as a family of 12 with mischievous toddlers can be lol.
This film has the perfect mix of comedy and seriousness. It wasn't all rainbows and unicorns, there were dark times too. Not dark enough to derail it from it's comic path though. The film makers managed to keep everything light throughout the duration of the film.
With the family having children of various age brackets and interests, it showed their realistic struggles in different parts of their lives. Zoe, being a black mum to both white and biracial children, experienced struggles of her own too.
The movie managed to portray some problems we face in these modern times and suggest solutions to these problems. One thing I commend is the couple's great parenting skills. I particularly like how they always posed a united front before their children. This always suggested peace and harmony even in times when they were having issues between themselves.
Una cosa peculiar de toda su configuración familiar es la cómoda presencia de sus ex cónyuges. No creo que pueda suceder de esta manera en la vida real. La familia parecía tan pacífica, tan pacífica como puede ser una familia de 12 con niños pequeños traviesos jajaja.
Esta película tiene la mezcla perfecta de comedia y seriedad. No todo fueron arcoíris y unicornios, también hubo tiempos oscuros. Sin embargo, no es lo suficientemente oscuro como para descarrilarlo de su camino cómico. Los cineastas lograron mantener todo ligero durante la duración de la película.
Dado que la familia tiene hijos de diferentes edades e intereses, mostró sus luchas realistas en diferentes partes de sus vidas. Zoe, siendo una madre negra de niños blancos y birraciales, también experimentó sus propias luchas.
La película logró retratar algunos problemas que enfrentamos en estos tiempos modernos y sugerir soluciones a estos problemas. Una cosa que elogio es la gran capacidad de crianza de la pareja. Me gusta especialmente cómo siempre plantearon un frente unido ante sus hijos. Esto siempre sugería paz y armonía, incluso en momentos en que tenían problemas entre ellos.
The cast did a pretty good job. My favorite amongst the children has to be the fraternal twins, the girl especially. I think they were adorably humourous and I owe most of my laughter during the movie to them.
One thing Disney is very good at is filming colourful graphics. This movie is beautiful, the colours were bright and inviting which made my eyes glued to the screen till the end.
Cheaper by the Dozen is all age appropriate. It is ideal for a relaxing time, both alone and with your family. If you are looking for a movie that is the right fit for a family movie night, this is for you. There's guaranteed relaxation and I'm sure kids will love it.
In the light of all I've mentioned, I give this film an 8 out of 10.
El elenco hizo un trabajo bastante bueno. Mi favorito entre los niños tiene que ser los mellizos, especialmente la niña. Creo que fueron adorablemente graciosos y les debo la mayor parte de mi risa durante la película.
Una cosa en la que Disney es muy bueno es en filmar gráficos coloridos. Esta película es hermosa, los colores eran brillantes y atractivos, lo que hizo que mis ojos se quedaran pegados a la pantalla hasta el final.
Más barato por docena es apropiado para todas las edades. Es ideal para pasar un rato de relax, tanto solo como en familia. Si está buscando una película que sea adecuada para una noche de cine familiar, esta es para usted. Hay relajación garantizada y estoy seguro de que a los niños les encantará.
A la luz de todo lo que he mencionado, le doy a esta película un 8 de 10.
