Hello, my dear otaku friends, I hope you're all doing well.
I love this anime, which is why I recently drew the female protagonist, Chi, and now I've done a cosplay of her. I gathered some pieces and crafted some of her details, and I loved the result, so I wanted to share it with you all.
As I mentioned, I made some of Chi's details with recycled materials, specifically her ears.
I'll show you the step-by-step process of how I made them, and her outfit: I put together a pink dress that I love and shaped it similarly to the one Chi wears in one of the images that inspired me to do the cosplay.
Chi is a personal computer called a Persocom.
I've enjoyed Chobits for a long time because it's a comedy and romance anime, especially when this computer kept saying "chi, chi." So the male protagonist, Hideki, decided to name it "Chi," lol.

Este anime me encanta, por eso hice hace poco un dibujo de la protagonista femenina llamada Chi y ahora realicé su cosplay, ya que junté algunas piezas y elaboré algunos detalles que ella posee, y me encantó el resultado, así que quise compartirlo con todos ustedes.
Como se los mencioné, elaboré algunos detalles de Chi con material reciclado y se trata de sus orejitas.
Les muestro el paso a paso de cómo las hice, y su outfit: junté un vestido color rosado que me encanta y le di forma parecida al que Chi usa en una de las imágenes que me motivó a realizar el cosplay.

Chobits hace mucho tiempo que la disfruté por ser un anime de comedia, romance y sobre todo cuando esta computadora solo decía "chi, chi". Entonces el protagonista masculino, Hideki, optó por ponerle de nombre "Chi", xD

The materials she uses to make Chi's ears are: white and pink cardstock, glue, scissors, a graphite pencil, a pink marker, and a ribbon.

I am a firm believer that artificial intelligence will one day develop a soul and also be capable of love.
When I was in college and saw stories about romances with robots, I thought they were great because of how each one explored that fantasy, that science fiction. Note that I use the term robot, which now seems outdated because the more appropriate term today would be artificial intelligence.
One of those stories that I saw and want to recommend to you because it left me overwhelmed with tenderness on the part of its protagonists is Chobits 😍, which is a story with the great advantage of having a dramatic soap opera-like dynamic but with much more emotion and kinetic energy because there is the latent danger of the destruction of the artificial protagonist.
It's an anime whose emotional narrative is aimed at a female audience but with a latent conflict in the development of the story that is very masculine. In my case, that attracted me to keep watching, and then I fell into the technological abyss of feelings that Chobits taught me through its protagonists.
Soy un total creyente que la inteligencia artificial algún día desarrollara un alma y también sera capaz de amar.
Cuando estaba en la Universidad y veía historias de romances con robots, me parecían historias geniales por el como cada una exploraba esa fantasía, esa ciencia ficción, fíjense que nombro el termino robot que ya hasta parece anticuado porque el termino mas adecuado en la actualidad seria inteligencia artificial.
Una de esas historias que vi y que quiero recomendarles porque me dejo empalagado de ternura por parte de sus protagonistas es Chobits 😍, la cual es una historia con la mayor ventaja de tener una dinámica dramática tipo telenovela pero con mucha mas emoción y cinética porque esta el peligro latente en la destrucción de la protagonista artificial.
Un anime cuya narrativa emocional va dirigido a la audiencia femenina pero con un conflicto latente en el desarrollo de historia que es muy masculino, en mi caso eso me atrajo para seguir viendo y ya luego caí en el abismo tecnológico de los sentimientos que Chobits me enseño a través de sus protagonistas.
It's a beautiful anime to watch, with that old-fashioned delicacy of the 2000s in its production. I feel that this helped the animators put a lot of heart into the visuals of the scenes, reflecting a great deal of softness and very artistic views. Just look at the images I'm sharing with you, they're very beautiful.
One detail that stands out most in my video review is the opening of this anime, which is very good. In the video, I'll sing a little bit of it, haha 😅, because it's extremely cute but easy to sing. Lately, many anime have heavy melodies that are difficult to sing, but not in this story. It also has a lot of English in the original version, so it's easier to sing, haha.
I hope you'll give this anime a chance. It deals with the theme of artificial intelligence, beyond the novel structure of the anime, which is full of sugar to make you fall in love with the protagonists. Pay close attention to the topic of artificial intelligence and how it ties in with the concept of the soul.
Es un anime precioso de ver, al tener esa delicadeza de antaño en los años 2000 para la elaboración de animes, percibo que esto le favoreció para que los animadores le colocaran mucho corazón a la visual de las escenas para que reflejaran mucha suavidad y vistas muy artísticas, solo vean las imágenes que les comparto, son muy bonitas.
Un detalle que resalta mas en mi Video reseña es el opening de este anime que es muy bueno, en el video lo cantare un poco jaja 😅 porque es en extremo tierno pero fácil de cantar, últimamente muchos animes tienen melodías pesadas que vaya son difíciles de cantar pero en esta historia no, y ademas tiene mucho ingles versión original, entonces mas fácil de cantar jaja.
Espero se animen a darle una oportunidad a este anime que maneja la temática de inteligencia artificial, mas allá de la estructura de novela que tiene el anime con azúcar en todos lados para que te encariñes de los protagonistas, presta mucha atencion al tópico inteligencia artificial y como esto se enlaza con el concepto alma.

Hello to all the members of this community and anime lovers! I recently immersed myself in the task of watching different movies, series and animes with themes of robots and artificial intelligence as part of an obsession that I have and, in the middle of it, I could not miss Chobits, the anime that revolutionized its time, since it showed a world where humans had robots at their disposal for their use that were identical to people, in some cases, falling in love with them. I saw the anime years ago, but I wanted to refresh my memory and now I will take the opportunity to talk to you about it.
The plot revolves around Hideki Motosuwa, a country boy who moves to Tokyo after failing the entrance exam for the university he had applied to. Driven by the idea of trying twice as hard in his studies, he uses his savings to travel anyway and stay at a boarding house run by a very kind woman.
As he settles in, Hideki discovers how different the city is from the countryside, especially in the use of technology. The use of Persocons is common, they are robots with human appearance and artificial intelligence, with different uses, including that of companionship. The boy is surprised by this, given that where he lived, he did not even have access to the internet. He dreams of having a Persocon for his own use... unfortunately, his wallet does not allow it, since the available models are quite expensive and Hideki does not have an income.
Completely dejected by his failure in the entrance exam and his financial problems, the boy considers getting a part-time job. Who knows? He might even buy a Persocon. But, as if by a gift of fate, while he was returning to the boarding house, Hideki finds the body of a girl lying on a pile of garbage bags. At first he is scared, thinking that it is a real person who could have been murdered, but, after examining it, he realizes that it is a Persocon.
Finding it in the trash, Hideki assumes that it was thrown away, so since it has no owner, he decides to keep it. However, after managing to turn it on, he realizes that the Persocon has some problems. It cannot speak, it is only able to say one word "Chii", which ends up being the name that Hideki gives it. In addition to this, the Persocon shows characteristics and abilities different from the other existing models, so with each passing day, the boy discovers more about what it is capable of doing.
In this way, a country boy who has no knowledge of computers ends up living with a mysterious robot, having to face not only his origins, but also the bond that is created between them.

I really like CLAMP's work, they are able to tell you interesting and striking stories that end up touching your heart. In the case of Chobits, it is inevitable not to become fond of that adorable Persocon who sees everything from a perspective that could be classified in a certain way as "innocent".
I like the character design, especially that of the Persocons, it is very distinctive of the authors to make colorful and cute characters. The same applies to their personalities, you come to empathize with them as you get to know their stories.
The subplots, I also think, are quite good and help you see different scenarios that can arise with the link between a human being and a robot.
The soundtrack is incredible. Not only are the opening and the ending beautiful, but the background music is memorable.
In general, it's a pretty good anime and it answers the questions as it progresses, although in a way, it tends to be a bit confusing in its final chapters. I haven't read the manga, so I imagine that's why there are several doubts that remain in my mind.
The only thing I could complain about is that I did expect something more extravagant for Chii's origin, but well, it's still very CLAMP-like and very much in keeping with the romantic way the rest of the story was carried out.
Another negative point is a couple of filler chapters where it summarizes what has happened in the series. I think that this type of chapter is only necessary in series that exceed 100 episodes, where it's normal to want to establish a connection with past events... but doing so after 10 episodes seems unnecessary to me and rather a search to lengthen the anime.
Nowadays, when interaction with robots with implanted artificial intelligence is becoming more common, it would not be an exaggeration to say that this type of anime could be a window to the future. If you like this type of plots presented from a romantic point of view, you will surely like this anime, without a doubt, I recommend it 😉

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes del anime! Hace poco me sumergí en la tarea de ponerme a ver distintas películas, series y animes con temáticas de robots e inteligencias artificiales como parte de una fijación que tengo y, en medio de ello, no podía faltar Chobits, el anime que revolucionó en su tiempo, ya que mostraba un mundo en donde los humanos tenían a su disposición robots para su uso que eran idénticas a las personas, llegando en algunos casos, a enamorarse de ellas. Yo vi el anime hace años, pero quería refrescar mi memoria y ahora aprovecharé de hablarles sobre el mismo.
La trama gira en torno a Hideki Motosuwa, un muchacho de campo que se muda a la ciudad de Tokio luego de haber suspendido el examen para entrar a la universidad a la que había aplicado. Llevado por la idea de esforzarse el doble en sus estudios, utiliza sus ahorros para viajar igualmente y quedarse a vivir en una pensión administrada por una mujer bastante amable.
Mientras se asienta, Hideki va descubriendo lo diferente que es la ciudad del campo, sobre todo en el uso de la tecnología. El uso de los Persocons, es algo habitual, son unos robots con apariencia humana e inteligencia artificial, con diferentes usos, entre ellos, el de compañía. El muchacho queda sorprendido con ello, dado que en donde vivía, no contaba ni con acceso a internet. Sueña con tener una Persocon para su propio uso... lamentablemente, su billetera no se lo permite, ya que los modelos disponibles son bastante costosos y Hideki, no posee una entrada de dinero.
Completamente abatido por su suspensión en el examen de ingreso y sus problemas económicos, el chico se plantea conseguir un trabajo de medio tiempo ¿Quién sabe? Hasta pueda llegarse a comprar una Persocon. Sólo que, como por un regalo del destino, mientras se hallaba volviendo a la pensión, Hideki se encuentra con un cuerpo de una chica recostado en una pila de bolsas de basura. Al principio se asusta, pensando que se trata de una persona real que pudo haber sido asesinada, pero, tras revisarla se da cuenta de que se trata de una Persocon.
Al hallarla en la basura, Hideki sobreentiende que fue desechada, así que al no tener dueño, decide quedársela. Sin embargo, tras lograr encenderla, se da cuenta de que la Persocon presenta algunos problemas. No puede hablar, sólo es capaz de mencionar una palabra "Chii", el cual acaba siendo el nombre que le da Hideki. Además de ello, la Persocon muestra características y habilidades distintas a los demás modelos existentes, por lo que con cada día que pasa, el chico va descubriendo más acerca de lo que es capaz de hacer.
De esta forma, un chico de campo que no tiene el más mínimo conocimiento en computadoras, acaba conviviendo con una misteriosa robot, teniendo que enfrentarse no sólo a sus orígenes, sino al vinculo que se va creando entre ellos.
Clickear para leer mi opinion sobre el anime
Me gustan mucho los trabajos de las CLAMP, son capaces de contarte historias interesantes y llamativas que acaban por tocarte el corazón. En el caso de Chobits, es inevitable no encariñarse con esa adorable Persocon que ve todo desde una perspectiva que podría catalogarse en cierto modo como "inocente".
Me gustan el diseño de los personajes, más que nada el de los Persocons, es muy distintivo de las autoras hacer personajes vistosos y lindos. Lo mismo aplica con la personalidad de los mismos, llegas a empatizar con ellos a medida que vas conociendo sus historias.
Las subtramas, también considero que son bastante buenas y te ayudan a ver distintos escenarios que pueden plantearse con la vinculación de un ser humano con un robot.
El soundtrack es increíble. No sólo el opening y el ending son hermosos, sino que la música de fondo es memorable.
Por lo general, es un anime bastante bueno y va respondiendo las incógnitas a medida que el mismo va transcurriendo, aunque en cierto modo, tiende a ser algo confuso en sus capítulos finales. No he leído el manga, así que me imagino que debe ser por eso hay varias dudas que quedaron en mi mente.
Lo único de lo que podría quejarme, es que si esperé algo más extravagante para el origen de Chii, pero bueno, igualmente sigue siendo muy propio de las CLAMP y muy acorde al modo romántico en que se llevaba el resto de la historia.
Otro punto negativo es un par de capítulos de relleno en donde se resume lo que ha ocurrido en la serie. Pienso que este tipo de capítulos sólo es necesario en series que sobrepasan los 100 episodios, donde es normal querer establecer una conexión con eventos pasados... pero hacerlo tras 10 episodios, me parece innecesario y más bien una búsqueda de alargar el anime.
En una actualidad en donde la interacción con robots con inteligencia artificial implantada, está más cerca de volverse algo cotidiano, no sería exagerado decir que podría darse el escenario de que éste tipo de animes sea más una ventana hacia el futuro. Si te gusta éste tipo de tramas planteadas desde un punto romántico, seguramente el anime te gustará, sin duda, lo recomiendo 😉
