Bienvenidos queridos viajeros amantes del ocultismo y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, el día de hoy nos adentraremos nuevamente en el mundo Constantine con el filme animado "Constantine: City of Demons" que no solo nos trae a ese maravilloso personaje de regreso, sino que presentan a diferentes enemigos y situaciones que se sienten muy frescas. Sin más que agregar prepárense para hacer algunos exorcismos que estamos por comenzar.

Constantine: City of Demons is an animated film that was released 2018, directed by Doug Murphy and produced by Warner Bros. Animation, has a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes. It is an animated story of action and terror, we are brought back to John Constantine, and to a terrible mistake he made 10 years earlier while playing in a band with his friend Chas, the latter decides to contact John after so long due to a rare state of coma in which his daughter finds himself, sooner rather than later they realize that this coma is not something natural so Constantine decides to put all his attention to prevent another tragedy from happening.
Constantine: City of Demons es un filme animado que fue estrenado 2018, dirigida por Doug Murphy y producida por Warner Bros. Animation, cuenta con una duración de 1 hora y 30 minutos. Es una historia animada de acción y terror, se nos trae de nuevo a John Constantine, y a un terrible error que cometió 10 años antes mientras tocaba en una banda con su amigo Chas, este último decide contactar a John después de tanto tiempo debido un raro estado de coma en el que se encuentra su hija, más temprano que tarde se dan cuenta de que ese coma no es algo natural por lo que Constantine decide poner toda su atención para evitar que otra tragedia ocurra.

The animation is fantastic, it presents a color palette with a predominance of dark tones, maintaining that style so characteristic of DC films. When we talk about the confrontations these are not far behind to be very fluid and maintain a very pleasant detail; In addition, this quality of animation is also maintained when performing spells and things like that that look fabulous.
La animación es fantástica, presenta una paleta de colores con predominación de tonos oscuros, manteniendo ese estilo tan característico de los filmes de DC. Cuando hablamos de los enfrentamientos estos no se quedan atrás al ser muy fluidos y mantener un detalle muy agradable; además, esta calidad de animación también se mantiene cuando realizan hechizos y cosas por el estilo que tienen un aspecto fabuloso.

The construction of the world is completely entertaining, the infernal plane is explored in a good way, as well as different elements and creatures that expand the environment related to Constantine. All this leaves as a result a very well achieved setting with many additions that easily captivate the attention of the viewer, and, in turn, have a purpose and relate to the plot in a very natural way.
La construcción de mundo es completamente entretenida, se explora de buena forma el plano infernal, como también se exponen diferentes elementos y criaturas que amplían el ambiente relacionado con Constantine. Todo esto deja como resultado una ambientación muy bien lograda con muchos añadidos que cautivan fácilmente la atención del espectador, y, que a su vez, tienen un propósito y se relacionan con la trama de forma muy natural.

The plot is interesting, from the beginning a problem is built that evolves giving it enough focus to detail it and make it feel important; all this results in the plot twists feeling plausible and not something forced included at the last minute. I have to mention that I like the adult tone that the film has since it is very consistent with what Constantine represents: The jokes, the blood scenes and the sexual ones give it that mature and serious touch to which the film aspires. The protagonist is worked excellently, the film gives him a good approach to explore the past of the character and establish reasons for his personality and attitude, in addition, his past has importance for the plot and that is the reason for being mentioned. In conclusion, the narrative is well posed and with a congruent order of ideas that leaves a good taste in the mouth when proposing something that leaves a good approach to what it means to be and lead a hero's life.
La trama es interesante, desde el vamos se va construyendo un problema que va evolucionando dándole suficiente enfoque para detallarlo y hacerlo sentir importante; todo esto deriva en que los giros argumentales se sientan plausibles y no algo forzado incluido a último minuto. He de mencionar que me gusta el tono adulto que posee el filme puesto que queda muy acorde con lo que Constantine representa: Los chistes, las escenas de sangre y las sexuales le dan ese toque maduro y serio al que aspira el filme. El protagonista es trabajado de forma excelente, la cinta le da un buen enfoque para explorar el pasado del personaje y establecer razones para su personalidad y actitud, además, su pasado tiene importancia para la trama y esa es la razón de ser mencionada. En conclusión la narrativa se encuentra bien planteada y con un orden de ideas congruente que deja un buen sabor de boca al plantear algo que deja un buen enfoque de lo que significa ser y llevar una vida de héroe.

I would say that the most memorable thing about this character is that he perfectly represents what it means to make a personal sacrifice for the good of others and innocents, thus leaving a man who is bitter and negative for the cruel life he has had but that does not prevent him from doing the right thing despite everything. That is why I can tell you that so far this is the best construction of a character that I have been able to see from the DC animated universe; It should be noted that the other characters also have a certain level of focus although at no time are they given much importance since the objective of the film is to give greater depth to Constantine consolidating him as an excellent protagonist of which his victories and successes are detailed as well as his mistakes and failures; being, in addition, that at no time do they raise him as an exaggeratedly powerful being, even going so far as he admits it and has to resort to cunning and intelligence to get out of conflicts, all this leaves him established as someone very human who has gone through much as he has also made many sacrifices without caring if they are recognized or not. The villain while having flat and boring goals is at least well built to really feel like someone threatening and quite cruel.
Diría que lo más memorable de este personaje es que representa perfectamente lo que significa hacer un sacrificio personal por el bien del prójimo e inocentes, dejando así a un hombre que está amargado y negativo por la cruel vida que ha tenido pero eso no le impide hacer lo correcto pese a todo. Por ello puedo decirles que hasta el momento esta es la mejor construcción de un personaje que he podido ver del universo animado de DC; cabe destacar, que los demás personajes tienen también cierto nivel de foco aunque en ningún momento se les da mucha importancia puesto que el objetivo del filme es dar mayor profundidad a Constantine consolidándolo como un protagonista excelente del cual se le detallan tanto sus victorias y aciertos como sus errores y fallos; siendo, además, que en ningún momento lo plantean como un ser exageradamente poderoso, llegando incluso a que el mismo lo admita y tenga que recurrir a la astucia e inteligencia para salir airoso de los conflictos, todo esto lo deja establecido como alguien muy humano que ha atravesado por mucho como también ha hecho muchos sacrificios sin importarle si estos son o no reconocidos. El villano si bien tiene objetivos planos y aburridos por lo menos está bien construido como para sentirlo realmente como alguien amenazador y bastante cruel.

Constantine: City of Demons is an excellent film that raises elements that seek to satisfy a mature audience, with problems and inconveniences that are not solved by the power of the script, but that require a sacrifice to be able to do the right thing, raising the message that doing good does not mean that it is easy but you still have to do it. That is why this film deserves a rating of 4.5 stars out of 7, I would be delighted if they released another film focused on the character and his universe being that both are very interesting, and, so far they have been worked excellently.
Constantine: City of Demons es una cinta excelente que plantea elementos que buscan satisfacer a un público maduro, con problemas e inconvenientes que no son solventados por el poder del guion, sino, que requieren un sacrificio para poder realizar lo correcto, planteando el mensaje de que hacer el bien no significa que sea fácil pero igual hay que hacerlo. Es por ello que esta película merece una calificación de 4.5 estrellas de 7, estaría encantado de que sacasen otro filme enfocado en el personaje y su universo siendo que ambos resultan muy interesantes, y, hasta el momento han sido trabajados de forma excelente.
