   Few films are as true to their title as Déjà Vu, 2006 science fiction action thriller directed by Tony Scott. Despite having what appears to be an original premise, it will cause many in the audience to feel like they have seen film like this before.

   This feeling goes hand in hand with audience’s ability to easily predict what will happen until the end credits. At the beginning, film introduces the audience to the New Orleans setting by depicting a ferry that US Navy servicemen leave have chosen as the perfect location to celebrate Mardi Gras, bringing their families along for the festivities. However, the viewer is well aware that the scenes of smiling children and their joyful parents are merely a prelude to something that will not end well. The forebodings quickly come to fruition when a terrorist bomb blows the ferry apart, killing hundreds of innocent people.

   The investigation is entrusted to ATF agent Douglas “Doug” Carlin (Washington), who is particularly intrigued by the body of Claire Kuchever (played by Paula Patton), a young woman who is one of the several hundred victims of the explosion. The autopsy reveals that she was killed before the explosion itself, and it is even more puzzling that she had attempted to contact Carlin. Carlin is then visited by FBI agent Paul Pryzwarra (played by Val Kilmer), who puts him in touch with a group of talented young scientists and engineers working on top secret project for for the federal government. The result of their work is the surveillance device that can record and reproduce every event that occurred in New Orleans four days prior.

   It does not take long for Carlin to realize that the device is not some sort of comprehensive security camera system but a something more akin of a time machine. Convinced that Claire is the key to uncovering the perpetrator, he begins to follow the last few days of her life. He soon realizes that the device works both ways, allowing messages to be sent back to the past, and ultimately even allowing Carlin, who actually became romantically attracted about the unfortunate woman, to try to save her life, regardless of potential violations of the laws of physics and the creation of a time paradox.

   Once it becomes clear that the main “gimmick” of the film is the same one that has been used for decades in TV shows like Star Trek and The Twilight Zone, the viewer will have no difficulty in predicting how the entire story will end. Just as it is not difficult to predict that the main antagonist will turn out to be, in accordance with Hollywood's canons of “political correctness”, a white, presumably right-wing, “patriot”, rather than a member of the organisations that used to be associated with terrorist atrocities in early 21st Century . The same unwritten Hollywood rules also why the object of the main character's obsession must be a dark-skinned woman, because African American stars like Denzel Washington were, at this point, not supposed to get romantically involved with white women in high budget mainstream films.

   However, if someone overlooks the script's limitations, it can be said that Déjà Vu is a quite solid film. The actors have done their job quite well, but the most praise goes to Tony Scott, who almost confirms Quentin Tarantino's heretical claims of being better filmmaker than his more famous brother Ridley. The plot is well-paced, and the action scenes are intentionally delayed until the very end, allowing the viewer to notice several interesting details, including locations of New Orleans recently ravaged by Hurricane Katrina.. However, not even all of Scott's skill will prevent many viewers from thinking of the words “déjà vu” during the end credits. This feeling will be even greater for those who happen to watch Source Code, film made five years later with almost identical premise.

   Haz percibido que momentos de tu vida ya los haz vivido antes, si la respuesta es sí, eres uno entre muchos que han percibido un Déjà Vu.

   Este fenómeno he notado se presenta también en los sueños y esto es lo más extraño porque el ser humano lo que sueña lo olvida, por tanto el hecho de asociar un momento que esta viviendo con lo que soñó y recordarlo es de peso a estudiar porque es un dato que no se debe tomar a la ligera.

   Relatando mi experiencia, sí he percibido estos momentos, recuerdo perfectamente que iba pasando por el pasillo de mi hogar, las ropas y mis familiares involucrados, cuando sucedió el Déjà Vu recordé inmediatamente ese sueño como un espejo de lo que estaba sucediendo y quede confundido porque la sensación es muy real, no supe reaccionar, solo seguí con mi que hacer diario pero en mi memoria quedo ese hecho que acabo de compartir el cual estuvo calcado a lo que soñé.

   Sí haz percibido sucesos así ya sea en vida real o en sueños, quiero leerlos en la caja de comentarios para saber como este fenómeno que considero es psicológico ha influido en alguno de ustedes y quiero que tengan en mente esto, los sueños por naturaleza se olvidan en su gran mayoría apenas despertamos y con el pasar de los días ya no quedan ni migajas porque el cerebro desecha esos sueños, entonces por que los recuerdas tan vívidamente, con tanto detalle, hazte esta pregunta porque es lo que considero hace de este hecho mas misterioso ya que es como si los fueras vivido.

   Una forma de explicarlo que cae en terreno sobrenatural es con lo que llaman el don de la premonición, es decir, viste un fragmento de lo que sucederá en el futuro. Solo esto que acabo de escribir hace aún mas complejo el Deja Vu porque entonces el ser humano es capaz de ver el futuro y no solo algunas personas, muchos lo logran porque pasaría este tipo de sueños a ser un fenómeno real.

   Hay que entrar en el mundo de la imaginación para poder dar ciertas explicaciones a esto ya que no hay una lógica racional tras de ello mas allá de un fallo en el cerebro en el aspecto memoria ya que como es posible que vivas un evento dos veces de manera exacta, tal cual un espejo si se entiende la metáfora.

   Desde un punto de vista científico es básicamente el resultado de un mal funcionamiento del cerebro, un lugar que sientes ya estuviste ahí pero en realidad nunca haz estado etc, es el cerebro trabajando mal o mejor dicho jugando con la memoria de la persona, típico de la ciencia el no reconocer hechos que ciertamente rozan lo paranormal, lo sobrenatural y que muchas personas viven.

   Saliendo del tópico sueños y ciencia, dejemos volar la imaginación aun más porque quiero mencionar el aspecto Matrix ya que se dice un Deja Vu representa su mal funcionamiento en un determinado momento, muchas personas creen esto, en ese concepto, por tanto hay que evaluarlo, mi pensar es que como una teoría más es válida.

   En cierta forma pienso que todo el universo esta conectado ya sea por lo que antiguos llamaban Éter o lo que el ser humano moderno llama energía oscura que cubre todo el universo, si se ve así, la Matrix puede existir y como una programación, el universo sigue leyes que si fallan, es cuando suceden estos eventos paranormales donde incluyo a los Deja Vu porque es el mas funcionamiento de la realidad.

   Una nota por si no se capta lo que acabo de decir, el Éter en el universo de películas de Marvel es la Gema del infinito que rige la realidad.

   Un último aspecto a analizar es el de dimensiones, recordemos que el ser humano es capaz de percibir cuatro de ellas que son la longitud, ancho, alto y tiempo pero las ecuaciones demuestran existen mas dimensiones, si otros seres u otros nosotros interactúan en otras dimensiones y logran solaparse con nuestras dimensiones, puede suceder el Deja Vu porque estaríamos viendo al yo de otra dimensión.

   Pienso es factible porque como mencione, las matemáticas trabajan mas dimensiones, ya solo queda el mundo físico si existen o no, por tanto si existieran, solapar dimensiones puede ocurrir, de hecho la teoría de cuerdas sería un soporte de esto y el Deja Vu sería una consecuencia por la superposición de dimensiones.

   Muchas Gracias por leer mi opinión sobre este tema, esto es bonito, esto es ciencia, verdaderamente estudiar fenómenos y decir tu opinión que independientemente sean acertadas o no, dan un granito de arena para poder resolver el enigma del Deja Vu porque aun no existe una explicación exacta y factible de porque sucede, solo teorías.
