Many movies released over the years have demonstrated this, serving as a call for everyone to become aware of it. That’s why Aguas Oscuras arrives with a rather troubling story—one that combines death from drinking water with a legal drama. The director seeks to tell a story based on real events, and with every passing second, the viewer realizes that as long as the wealthy are doing well, they don’t care about the rest of society that suffers and loses out.
El mundo está lleno de personas con mucho dinero y eso les permite manejar poder, gente y secretos que solamente ellos y es allí donde la sociedad tiene que adaptarse a eso y muchas películas que sean estrenado a lo largo del tiempo lo han demostrado, siendo un llamado para que todo el mundo puede tomar conciencia. Por eso llega Aguas oscuras con una historia bastante preocupante porque combina muerte por tomar agua y a la vez un drama legal, donde el director lo que busca es contar una historia que está basada en hechos reales y cada segundo uno se da cuenta qué mientras que las personas con dinero estén bien, no les importa el resto de la sociedad que sufre y pierde.
The film tells the story of a lawyer who begins investigating pollution in a community, where he gradually uncovers something far more dangerous: a chemical company has been contaminating the water with hazardous substances for years. This is a rather interesting situation, and pollution is certainly severe in many places, for whatever reason. However, it’s very sad to see that the companies themselves are to blame. As the film progresses, the tension builds as he uncovers documents that confirm this, and with each piece of evidence, the situation changes—leading us to wonder: Will they be able to fix the problem? Will justice be served for the community? And many other questions that may seem simple on the surface, but behind them lies death—which is very sad to witness.
Here, the lawyer’s character does a great job and shows that he truly wants to do the right thing; as he uncovers clues, he realizes the enormous responsibility he faces. Furthermore, his work begins to affect his personal life—not only because he spends many hours investigating and making calls, but also because he has to confront people who want to stop him. After all, if he doesn’t, everyone will have to pay a price. This shows that if situations like this aren’t resolved from the start, they’ll eventually become so massive that no one will be able to do anything about them, and many people will suffer the consequences.
La película cuenta con una historia que sigue a un abogado que comienza a investigar la contaminación de una comunidad, donde poco a poco termina descubriendo algo mucho más peligroso, ya que una empresa química lleva años contaminando el agua con sustancias peligrosas. Esta es una situación que bastante interesante y seguramente en muchas partes la contaminación es muy fuerte, ya sea por cualquier cosa, sin embargo, es muy triste ver que los responsables sean las mismas empresas y aquí a medida que avanza la tensión crece al ir descubriendo documentos que lo validan y con cada prueba, el juego cambia y eso nos lleva a preguntarnos ¿Podrán arreglar el problema? ¿Harán justicia por una comunidad? Y muchas otras que seguramente parece sencilla, pero detrás de eso hay muerte que es muy triste verlo.
Aquí el personaje del abogado hace un gran trabajo y demuestra que realmente quiere hacer las cosas bien y a medida que va descubriendo pistas, se da cuenta de la enorme responsabilidad que tiene delante. Además, su trabajo empieza a afectar su vida personal, por el mismo hecho de poder pasar muchas horas investigando, de hacer llamadas y a la vez de tener que enfrentarse con personas que lo quieren detener, ya que si no todo el mundo tendría que pagar un precio, demostrando que ese tipo de situaciones si no se resuelven desde un principio después será algo muy grande que nadie podrá hacer algo, y las consecuencias las pagarán muchas personas.
This is a very good movie; everyone should know about this kind of story. It also emphasizes how important it is to care for the environment and the responsibility of large corporations. It also makes us wonder: Is the water we drink safe? It leaves that question hanging in the air as the film unfolds, demonstrating that a story doesn’t need to be spectacular to be impactful—it just needs to show a real injustice and a person trying to make a difference.
Esta es una película muy buena, donde este tipo de historia la tiene que saber todo el mundo, además hace énfasis en lo importante que es el cuidado del medio ambiente y la responsabilidad de las grandes empresas. Además, nos lleva pensar ¿Si el agua que consumimos es segura? Dejando eso allí en el aire, mientras que la película avanza y demuestra que una historia no necesita ser espectacular para ser impactante, sino con mostrar una injusticia real y a una persona intentando cambiar las cosas.
