  1. Review Film: Despicable Me 3 (2017)@film-trail2956d

In this film, Gru (Steve Carell) stuck dilemma, survived as his new self or re-bears the status of a supervillain. We also see a cunning expression and hear his evil laughter again. And on one occasion, he deceived his twin brother, Dru (also voiced by Steve Carell) in order to achieve personal goals even though this goal is actually useful to the world. This is what Gru the audience likes to like. Moreover, it is also a characterization that has always been established a franchise, which is a figure with moral ambiguity, at least for the size of the animation of all ages. The movie itself is the best since the initial instalment (including Minions), This time Gru with his wife, Lucy (Kristen Wiig) as Anti-Villain League agent (AVL) deal with Balthazar Bratt (Trey Parker) who want to steal the largest diamond in the world. Bratt is a famous former star. But after his television series was cancelled due to the loss of the audience after stepping on puberty (think Macaulay Culkin is now playing at Home Alone), Bratt starts to believe that he is the role character in the series, deciding to become a real super villain. The characterization above the parody of a drowning actor is too remote in a playable character and / or a childless actor who is running out of glory as he grows up.

Big in the 80's, fair when Bratt decorated the knick-knacks of the era and the typical children. Costume with shoulder pad, mullet hairstyle, yo-yo-shaped weapon and chewing gum, Rubik headquarters, to the most influential for the film, the penchant for turning the 80's music. Rows of numbers such as Bad Jackson's Michael to Take-a-ha's take on Me occasionally add to the excitement of the adventure that unfortunately, though by duets director Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda are consistently driven at lightning speed, failing to match the creativity of luring his first act. Gru and Lucy with sophisticated vehicles like the futuristic version of James Bond against a variety of unique weapons in the form of toys belonging to the Bratt so that the recurring failures, even by the climax of the giant robot.

The basis of the story still retains the family theme stretch, though now the brotherhood of Gru and Dru reduces the father-son portion. Lucy had learned to be a mother figure for the Margo-Edith-Agnes trio, but only a superficial insert rather than a whole process as Gru learned to be a father in the first film. But Coffin and Balda always work on each family moment with high sensitivity, including enough affection to produce warmth. Mel Minion's moment scene that provoked his colleagues to encourage Gru back to do evil considering the times with Gru presented sweet like a beautiful memory of father and son, Another case with the comedy portion. Despicable Me 3 strives to joke at every opportunity. Nearly five minutes of humour is poured out. There was a scene when Gru and Dru loudly laughed at their own jokes while Lucy and her three daughters fell silent, either confused about how to respond or completely ignore. A suitable situation depicts the film comedy effort. Also duplicated is the cuteness side. As if the existence of Minions and Agnes is not enough, animals like goats are also pigs so targeted, designed as adorable as possible. At least this point stole more hearts than humour.

Despicable Me 3 returns the role of Minions as a supporter who has not even done a single significant thing. The right decision, because long ago, each appearance of this yellow creature takes a few minutes duration for the presence of a random comical situation that can actually be devoted to strengthening the flow. So here too, although admitted Minions controlling the prison is one of the most interesting moments even the funniest in this movie. Closed by the ending that opens up sequel opportunities, Despicable Me 3 at least brings the main character back to its proper position. This movie makes Gru cool and interesting again.

  2. Despicable Me 3 - movie review@mmaruf2996d
    • Despicable Me series has have been one of the most popular animated movie series. Throughout the movies of this series we have seen comedy, drama and joy. In 2017, the ILLUMINATION film company came with the third installment of Despicable Me series called "Despicable Me 3".

    • In the start of this movie we see that Gru and his wife lost their job because of not bring able to catch the most notorious criminal Balthazar Bratt . Now Gru is very angry over this failure against Balthazar Bratt .

    • We see that Gru found out that he has a brother called Dru. But he never knew about his brother because of the decision of his parents. At first Gru was very happy to meet his brother but when he saw that he is very different from his own look then he just got anxious. Bit when he saw that his brother wanted to go on a adventurous trip with his brother. He showed Gru the most advanced car of their Dad and with this car his Dad used to do his criminal activities. Now Gru made a plan. He thought that he will catch Bratt with this special car and then he will ensure the job of his and his wife. But Dru was thinking something else. He though that he will become a great criminal like his father and like his brother. Ans they will become very famous by taking the diamond from Bratt. So, the whole movie was about the adventure of 2 brothers.

    • The movie was written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio. Steve Carell played the character of Gru and Dru both and did an excellent job portraying two different characters. Every one specially children will love this movie really much. The movie has got an average rating in I M D B.

Fantastic 3rd movie in the series. Cant get enough of the minions. This movie easily lives up to the other two before it in visual aspect, and the DTS:X soundtrack sounds phenomenal. Definitely adding to the 4k UHD collection.

  5. Descpicable Me 3--Movie Review--seriously!? Less Minions?@mctiller3274d

    Despicable Me 3 isn’t a classic.

It’s not even the best Despicable Me/Minion movie.  But the series makes a ton of money, so of course it needs to be made.  The second movie was released four years ago in 2013.  We were tided over with Minions in 2015.

    The plot is rushed.

The two main character Gru and Lucy are fired from AVL by the new director Valerie Da Vinci,  for not capturing the bad guy Balthazar Bratt in the opening scene.  Not using the character Valerie Da Vinci for the rest of the movie was mistake.  The character was introduced in a silly way, to make her seem like the villain in the movie, but after the firing she is not to be seen anymore in the movie.

While moping around at home, Gru is approached by a strange butler, who introduces himself as working for his brother.  The butler porduces evidence that he does in fact have a twin brother.  So, yes, in order to create a new character the filmmakers decide to do the whole long lost brother thing.  And yes, Steve Carrell plays both characters.  It really stretches him as an actor.

    Less Minions

For whatever reason, the filmmakers thought it would be good to give the Minions less screen time in this movie.  The Minions want to go back to a life of crime.  The married-suburban life they have come to find to be boring, especially since he has lost his job.  Villainy would pay the bills.  But Gru decides to not go into villany and most of the minions leave.  There is a subplot where the minions are sent to jail.  They end up running the jail, and all of the other inmates are afraid of them.  That’s an interesting and funny concept.  Don’t miss it by going to the restroom or getting popcorn, it takes about 7 minutes of screen time.  It’s the best seven minutes of the movie.

The villain Balthazar Bratt is interesting and silly, played by Try Parker.  He is a former child actor whose television show was canceled in the 80s, and then turned to a life of crime.  The 80s shtick is fun for the adults in the audience, but The Van Halen, Michael Jackson, references will be lost on most young children.  In fact it was the character I enjoyed the most.  Which is a shame there were a lot of other very  funny and interesting characters that could have gotten more screen time but alas did not.

My daughter laughed and enjoyed most of the movie, which is the real point of the movie.  She seemed to enjoy most of the movie.

There is a lot of adventure peril in the movie, especially at the end.  My five year old was somewhat upset by the intensity of the final scenes.  So this maybe for slightly older kids, but again, know your kid.

The movie does set-up a cliff hanger for Despicable Me 4.

Which I guess should be ready in 2021 at their current pace.

But by that time, I don’t think my daughter will care.
