Image While Dirty Grandpa may have found commercial success with its risqué humor, as a connoisseur of quality cinema I found little to appreciate in its crass shock-value approach. Zac Efron's talent is wasted on such an embarrassingly one-dimensional farce. I originally didn't watch this because I haven't really appreciated De Niro comedies in the past. There was also the usual bad press because this movie uses a rather typical plot formation that can be successfully guessed in the first 10 minutes of the movie with a few slight twists.
